I'm sorry you all are completely nuts. These screens quality of detail are leaps above Origins. They are more realistic in many ways, tons more detail, and they are still in alpha-stage! I mean come on... WTF do you people want?!



Now if you are comparing it to some of the character models the PC modders have made... then maybe. But core game to core game its no contest. DA2 wins so far...

Like I've said in other threads: Technically it ain't looking to good right now, and the areas do look a little barren (that's the problems with deserts: they're boring!) But I'm liking the look of Hawke, his armor, the Darkspawn (much more distinct and memorable really: look a bit more like they actually came from the main races).

So, personally:
Direction = sweet
Technical Prowess = not so sweet.

I see nothing 'cartoony' about that screenshot. If anything, this is more 'cartoony.' I can understand that you don't like the redesign of the darkspawn, but really this line of reasoning is just bizarre.
