Say Flemeth meets Hawke after she saves the Warden. Her only daughter, who happens to be quite treacherous by her own merit, is sent off with the Warden. Predicting that Morrigan may betray her somehow, she goes and has another daughter while the Warden runs his errands to save all life in Ferelden (or maybe she had another daughter in secret all along?).

Perhaps the Warden kills Flemeth, perhaps he does not. It would be easy (at least in theory, I don' t make games)  for developers to compensate a kill or if she was not killed in your save file continuity. If Flemeth had another daughter and was killed, she could simply manipulate the child.. perhaps.. into the form we see in the concept art. And easily enough, if she was not killed by the Warden, perhaps she possessed Morrigan or just shapeshifted into something more appealing to her interest at the time Hawke meets her.

So in other words, perhaps she simply prepared herself for Morrigan's potential betrayal while we were away. She certainly had plenty of time to frisk a man or two in all the Warden's time adventuring... and her power is ancient  beyond imagining.

How will Hawke get betrayed by Morrigan? He has never met her or trusted her, Flemeth may talk about her.

We will possibly have a encounter with her when she leaves the final battle. It did say there were witnesses of a witch carrying a child near the end.

I wasn't meaning to describe any interaction between Hawke and Morrigan, I was taking a shot at explaining how Flemeth could still be alive depending on the choices made during Origins.

I posted in another thread that Flemeth may be able to exist without a body, as did the Baroness of Blackmarsh after exiting the Fade.

Since Flemeth predates the Baroness, odds are she's capable of the same, similar, or superior powers.

Posted ImagePosted ImageI believe that Morrigan knew she would come back.  After killing Flemeth, Morrigan makes remarks about how seh knew her mother would be back for her and she would be ready or something like that.

That possibility did cross my mind but that just lacks too much creativity for me to think Bioware would go that route. I could just see the Warden meeting her on his/her journeys should they have killed her.

Warden: "Flemeth? Didn't I kill you?"

Flemeth: "Yeah, I just rematerialized after you guys left. Sorry about that. I was going to kill you and all, but there was this sexy dude on the other side of the forest."

Yeah that possible too. But Origins led and built up the tension between Morrigan and Flemeth too much for be to believe Flemeth already went looking for her daughter. Flemeth seemed too curious about what Morrigan would do with her freedom for me to think that she took Morrigan over... at least so soon.

Posted ImagePosted ImageOnly time will tell. The problem with Flemeth is that she's so unpredictable and we know so little about her, who knows what she would or wouldn't do and for what reasons?

Meh! I think I've seen enough of Flemeth for now.
