IMHO Dragon Age 2 needs more races outside of the same old Elf,Human,Dwarf, mold. Why can't we have Centaurs, Minotaurs, Cyclopes, Gnolls? There are hundreds of other fantasy races that are rarely used, so why do we always get the same damn races in games like this? I'd like to see people start trying to think outside of the box, and just stop following Tolkien and Lord of the Rings as a blue print to fantasy settings.

You should play World of Warcraft, there is a huge diversity of different races/creatures in that game. I personally like the idea of Dragon Age focusing on a few races rather then multiple races and making it all...sloppy like.

To be fair, we associate those other races with having more "magical" qualities to them: they seem less like races of actual people, and more like subsects of magical fairies. Whereas elves or dwarves are like the aliens of ME: they're still people, just not human.

Adding 1-3 more races to Dragon age will not make it any more sloppy. Plus I did play WOW (for around 3 years) and the races are great, has a nice balance to them all.

Yeah, Fairies, pixies, Nimps, and stuff like that aren't a whole lot different then elves. They're all Forest creatures. Besides Elves being totally Bada**.

Assassins Creed 3 is rumored to star a black protagonist as it will be set in Ancient Egypt. Black people very much have their own fantasy that is very unique that it's a damn shame it hasn't been explored a whole lot in gaming. EGYPT!!!! Egyptians were black!!!

That's not all black people are about though. The Ancient Egyptians were often hailed as being some of the most advanced people on the planet. They didn't have any watermelons or Fried Chicken then, Europeans did though...

Though I do know the stereotypes, just never understood them. Being white myself though, I will admit I'm not extremely familiar with black culture, but I do know that the Ancient Egyptians were impressive... And I would really like to see that world explored in a video game.

^ Which is black. Your skin color doesn't have to be dark as night in order to be considered black.

Read Bernahrd Hennen´s books about them and you disagree.

Compared to them, the most badass elves in LotR are utter weaklings. One of them killed an entire castle of trolls, at another time 20 elves charge straight into 1000 humans armed with guns and kill them all without losses because they can simply evade all the bullets......

I never said all Arabs are black. Perhaps I should have worded my post a little better, not all Egyptians were black, but it's heavily debated that most of them were.
