Please tell me we are going to be able to play a female main character in Dragon Age II. Being an actual female myself means I enjoy the experience more and might actually make it to the end of the game. I loved Mass Effect because you could play both genders.
If you don't allow for a female central character in this game I can't see myself being bothered trying to play it or even buying it.
I know that guys buy these sort of games much more than us girls, but you've got to give us this.

Game Informer is reporting that the development
team promising that a female version of the voice track is being worked
on.
Just google "dragon age 2 female", and the first clicky is your solution. =)
Hawke is just a last name like Shepard in Mass Effect, hence its open for Male and Female.

It has been explained that, like ME, the promotional material will feature a male charactor. But you can play as female. Hawke is a last name.
