Distinguetraces, the nose on your avatar character is disturbingly long... I'm sorry, I just had to say it. :/ He looks like he has an excellent sense of smell.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a British voice too, another American VO would just feel out of place... especially with someone from Fereldan.

They've already said he won't sound North American.

No thanks. No offence to people from New Zealand, but I just don't like their accents one bit. It grates on my nerves.

Well I was joking, but it annoys you? Oh well...

How about Jeremy Irons? Nickname the main character Scar.
Actually, I like this idea, not main character, but I would like to see Jeremy Irons voice in a BW game.

You said you don't want an American accented Hawke, not because it would continue a trend to make DA more like ME, but because it would appeal to people who like that game. Get coherency right, plzthx.

What's wrong with American accents if I may ask?

Nothing at all. I never suggested there was anything wrong with them to me, I just feel that such a change would be put into the bin of, "Changes to DA to accomodate ME fans."

Also, before anyone jumps on it for no reason, don't try to deny the fact that there are a lot of people who dislike DA but like ME1+2. BioWare keep saying in interviews they want DA2 to cater to both markets. Hence why I think an american accent would be for no other reason than to appeal.

I like american accents. I like every accent, actually. It's just when you hear the same accent with the same voice on the same kind of character game after game, you want a change. Whether that means a different american dialect or an entirely different country. That's just how it is.

No such thing as a British accent, the accent is called English.

If there's no such thing as a British accent, then there's no such thing as an English accent either. There are a multitude of English accents and, by extension, an even larger multitude of British accents.

No they arent, British accents arent one thing, if your saying all British accents are sexy then you havent heared many of them, because some are just nasty.

To further your statement.

I disagree about them being nasty, though. This accent is just lovely. I don't think any accent is necessarily nasty.

Again. You may have just put it the wrong way, and then I took it the wrong way. I really do apologize for losing my temper, but I really hate seeing DA or ME fandom playing down to the other, since I'm a big fan of both. You didn't say you didn't want an American accent because it would be more and more like ME, you said because it would appeal to the ME fan base. I honestly don't see another way to take that, but I see you didn't mean it that way. I'm sorry.

Here's two voice I would like to hear in DA2:
Christopher Eccleston and Sean Bean
Eccleston's Accent is marvelous and would be great on a Ferelden Native.
Sean Bean would make a great side-character/party member. The kind of Straight soldier who lost in sight why he fought so many battle and need Hawke to help him find a purpose in life. Love interest for female hawke would be great too.

I am not playing down on any fandom. You just interpreted it that way. I can understand why you would be mad at that, though. I think a lot of people are blaming the ME fans, though, and that is, of course, a bad thing. I mean, in the end it is BioWare that makes decisions.

I like ME 1 and 2, I just dislike that BioWare themselves are seemingly making out ME to be better. Is all.

No, no, no, you misinterpret me this time: I don't mean to say you meant to play down, I mean to say that, in the way you phrased yourself, that's what I saw and that's why I was offended. Again, my apologies.
