Dear Bioware

Let me start by saying i have always been a fan of your work and i enjoyed Dragon Age very much (Understatement).  To be honest though... March 2011 is too far away.  Will there be another full blown expansion pack released for Origins? I thought Awakenings was great.  Still,  I would like to give my Warden a proper farewell before DA2.  Is there any DLC or expansion packs on the future before March 2011?

That would be fantasmalistic. I don't think it will happen, though. Even if I would pay all my money for it.

I'm pretty sure Gaider or Chris have stated that they are going to continue with expansions/dlcs between now and DA2. Don't quote me ion that though.

Only dlc. There has been no talk of a new expansion.

We don't know yet about the consequences the importable saved game info
has in store for npc from DA O - wich may even include the warden as the
former protagonist.
Many of them could either leave a backdoor open for a xp, others would
render it pointless
I recommend to wait until the 'what do we know
yet' thread offers a lot more of facts.

DLC for Dragon Age was meant to continue for 2 full years after it's release. Do ya reckon they'll keep on doing it after DAII is released?

Considering that you can import your savegame from DAO to DA2, I see ZERO benefit in them closing the book on ANY character, even one as nebulous as The Warden.

Sorry.

After DA2 is released i doubt DLC will continue for Dragon Age Origins... Neverwinter Nights is still waiting for a PATCH so it'll run on VISTA/WINDOWS 7.

Last I knew, Neverwinter Nights did run on Vista; it required at least patch 1.68, as I recall. Since official support for NWN ended with patch 1.69, I don't foresee a patch to enable it to run on Windows 7.

I played Neverwinter Nights (as well as Shadows of Undrentiede) on a 64 bit version of Vista Home Premium. It was the "Gold Edition" by the way. I didn't install any further patches, straight out of the box.

I think they will make another expansion. On my xbox when I go into the memory to delete some of my older saves I noticed that in front of all the awakening saves it said E1 I assume this stands for expansion 1. I doubt they would see a need to put the number 1 there if they weren't planning on a second.

Don't see why they wouldn't. Heck, I hope they do make another expansion...if not, then a few very large (4-6 hours) DLCs.

The amount of customers with Dial Up connections still limit the dlc size in a way.

46 megs is a size where most of them already stopped listening.

I've installed NWN on a Vista desktop and laptop and the only reason I'm still not playing it without a problem is that I haven't gotten around to reinstalling it after my reformat. I did have a sound related issue that stopped it from booting, but it wasn't a vista specific issue (had an identical issue on XP) and once I knew how to fix it.

Before DA:O came out, it was stated that DLC would be released over a two year period. It's been maybe eight months since DA:O came out, so I'm guessing maybe one or two more expansions. Actually, make that one more, as I can't imagine putting so much effort in to a game that's already been superseded.

In my opinion, we'll get our next expansion a bit before DA2 comes out, both to renew our interest in the game, and to provide us with a cliffhanger ending that keeps us interested, until we can go out and get the sequel.

I would pay another £32 for a second expansion, and then I would convince other people to buy it! We need this, please!

While an expansion would be great to wrap the story up and give more closure, it's highly unlikely that BW works on DA:2,DLC's and an second expansion.

Does anyone honestly think that a character like the Warden can be wrapped up in an expansion or DLC? And even if they could be, why do that at all? Just because the Warden isn't the protagonist in DA 2 doesn't mean he/she'll never show up again.

Flemeth is still around. Morrigan is still around. Potential for 2 more Blights. Even if another Blight never occurs, the Warden is too significant a character to simply fade away into the unknown. I fully expect him/her to show up in future games or even at the end of DA 2.

Why, because before we fall in love with the next main character we need to have a finall ending. me personally i think the warden should be killed off by the dark spawn taint that way its really over for the warden.:police:

I really would like another expansion aswell, to clear up some things with old party members and mostly Morrigan! I heard there will be more DLC but I have not heard of another expansion. BioWare has stated that the card in Awakening with the date Feb is something to do with Dragon age but it is not DA2. I hope it is not the anime movie!

an expansion would be great, but would probably delay dragon age 2

i agree with all the people saying a dlc with a decent length, preferrably showing the warden after awakening, or if not with one of the better characters like morrigan or allistair, rather than leliana, not that i have antything against, but i didnt even see her on my first playthrough haha

I thought the DA2 announcement would be an announcement for a new expansion, but I was wrong. I still think DAO could support another expansion, and don't think its out of the question that we will see another, though DA2 does make it that much less likely. We do know that more DLC is yet to come, though I don't know whether that could include expansions or not (Awakening is included in the downloadable content screen in-game, even if you have a retail version, so expansions might count as DLC).

Oh, and I wouldn't mind if DA2 were delayed if we got more DAO content first.

Neither would I. I'm looking for any excuse to keep diving back into DAO, especially if they continue to churn out great content for it.
