For the sole reason of not being able to continue my character and decisions from DA:O . It seems to me you just wanted to make sure the first Dragon Age game is successful , then mainstream as much as possible to
increase sales , disregarding that the game will be subpar as value and many
that will buy it just because they loved DA:O , will be unhappy .

I for one got attached to my character, the decisions I made, the relationship with Morrigan and so forth. <3

Why would I buy a game, where I play a “nobody” , literally 0 attachment to the main character, that nonetheless is shoved down my throat like on Mass Effect , can’t change race , gender etc … only some minor insignificant things like hair color .

Bioware will be off my game buying list, because it turned away from game quality towards selling mainstreamed games .:(

p.s. Even the forum is broken, could not log in my account so had to make a new one to post. <_<

I'm sure your understanding nature, patience, and willingness to try new things will be missed.

You mean like he even took the time to learn enough of the game to know he can actually choose gender?

Cant you at least wait for more info and see how it is done in game before you make posts like this?

If "new" to you means dumbing down, stripping choice, and overal lowering the quality of the game so it will apeal to "mouth breathers" ( lowering the common denominator) in order to increase sales , cudos to you .

I for one do not buy stuff ( in this case a game) just because its new, disregarding its quality and content . Its like you buying a black and white TV painted diferent because its "new" .

Yes, that will be a significant choice, oh wait .

Did you read my reason for not buying it ? or you just focused on the most insignificant thing in my post ant ignored the rest ?

Dragon Age is more of a franchise, so it's not all about your warden. The name 'Dragon Age 2' can be quite misleading I guess

OH MY GOD, YOU CAN CHOOSE GENDER!!??  Suddenly it all makes sense, the sky opens up and light is cast down upon the world, misconceptions fade in the revealing luminescence and all is returned to the proper status quo.

Yeah, just like that.  ;)

This thread needs to be closed, obviously.

EDIT- I say that because this could easily be a post, and not a whole new thread.

If by any of that you mean to say vitriol tastes like bacon and will help you sleep warmer at night, then more power to you.

Should we start numbering these pointless hair tearing threads?

I'm honestly thinking DA2 is a filler game, maybe to keep fans entertained until DA3 or whatever their next game is called which even MAY feature your warden from DA:O again. Which other game company provides a sequel within a year? I waited 5+ years for sequels before. So if DA3 comes out one or two years after DA2 and you can continue with your warden, what did you lose? You just have something to do while waiting.

That is seriously not on my concern list . Only no-lifers do stuff just because they got nothing better to do, instead of doing them because they enjoy them .

I don't understand why you would make a thread about not buying a game? If you're uninterested in the game, why be on the forums at all; let alone mention it? Just don't buy it and move on.

Plus IMO, continuing the Wardens story would be just plain ludicrous. The games are about the Dragon Age, what is so hard to understand about that?

@ Kami102 , To put it in perspective for you ( considering info from your sig) .

Would you buy Me3 , If they postponed the reaper invasion , killed Tali in some cut scene , and the whole game would focus on a colonist escaping from some experimentation facility . And telling you that the ME story "may" continue later in like 5+ years . (maybe* )

Because its still like a year till its release and if enough players bring it up/complain they may include it as an option ? Better make them aware earlyer than 2 days before relase don't you think ? (where they could come with a reply like : oh , we had no idea, why did you not tell us earlier "rolleyes"

Yes, because I enjoyed the first two games and while I would be frustrated at not getting the rest of the story right away, I would have faith that the people who wrote a game I so enjoyed would manage to do something equally as enjoyable with the new installment.

What do you know? You are an ME player! You don't even have a inventory! How dare you speak up here!

@OP: Poor you. I wish you just the best luck finding hope again. Maybe one day you will discover a game where you are attached to the main character. A character you knew before even playing the game... Ah, like the good old memories from the time before I played DA:O... I knew the Warden's background. I knew his look and what will come... great... I was so attached to him before the game even started... nothing to be compared to Hawke. That guy has even a Surname! Eeeek!! Not like my noble dwarf Aeducan or my human nobles Cousland or my elves... or wait...
D'oh! Now I realized DA:O sucked too!

I agree with a lot of his point's. I grew very attached to my DA:O character, and as much as I have grown to love the series, I'm not really sure what to think about DA:2 at this point. I hope more is revealed soon to shed some light on a lot of the communities concerns.

Will DLC be featured before hand that finishes the Morrigan story line?

Are Wardens completely over with?

Well then im sorry to say, but consumers like you are the reason they can afford to do this. Because you will buy anything with "bioware" in this case , name on it, regardless of what it is , or if it is any good .

Of course I would.

I absolutely love the ME series, and while yes I would rage about Tali's death, and new direction they go with, I support Bioware in everything they make because not a single game they made has disappointed me at all.

I'm just sitting here, waiting patiently for DA2  (and ME3 :wizard:) because I know that both games will truely be epic, in the hands of Bioware.

So long as they continue producing quality material, yes I will. My ability to enjoy something is not - thankfully - defined by your inability to accept that change isn't always bad.
