@Bs : don't forget you have to *hold down* right-click for 'a second' for the menu to drop (i think shift-rightclick makes it drop instantly). I don't have a Mac, but the timing should be adjustable in Options. you'll get BASH when right clicking on a chest ..

Does anyone have a good list of Add-Ons and/or Haks that work on a Mac install of the OC, with or without MothB/SoZ installed (such as listed here: http://social.biowar...2/index/3173142)? I have all 3 campaigns working on my Mac, but I'm now interested in mods, but don't want to screw up a working installation with stuff only really capable of working on the Windows version.
Thanks,
Steve

Since there is no Mac version of the toolset the things you would need to avoid are things that require you recompile scripts or edit the campaign.cam file. You can safely edit 2da files with textedit, so that does not require the toolset. Most stand-alone campaigns should be compatible.

I have two questions about the MAC version. First, is it cross compatible with the PC version?
I believe it is as long as you and your friends are all patched to 1.23 and you have the same expansions installed.
Second, where can I buy a copy of NWN 2 Platinum for a Mac? Thanks in advanced.
You can't because there isn't one. The MotB and SoZ expansions were never released for the Mac. You have to buy the Windows versions and either run them under Bootcamp or go through some effort to get them running on Mac OS X. Due to the lack of a Mac specific Bioware SocialNetwork forum, I started one here for Mac users.

@King Japhar: I've had good luck installing the Windows versions on NWN2 and expansions under Wineskin on the Mac.

... edit your hosts file found in Windows\\System32\\drivers\\etc folder (on Mac this is the /etc/hosts file). Add these lines to stop the game contacting the master server.
0.0.0.0 nw2master.bioware.com
0.0.0.0 nwn2.master.gamespy.com
0.0.0.0 peerchat.gamespy.com
0.0.0.0 nwmaster.bioware.com127.0.0.1
Haven't seen the need to try it myself since the delay is pretty brief.
If you are running NWN2 using Wineskin though then it may not be the Mac /etc/hosts file that is being used. Check with the Wineskin folks.

One thing to note though is that because Lion creates a recovery partition Parallels requires a simple work-around to get working after the Lion install. Also the Bootcamp installer no longer supports Windows XP or Vista. So if you want to set up a Bootcamp partition to run the NWN2 Toolset you will either need to use Windows 7 or just exit the installer when it asks for a Windows CD and boot off of the Windows XP CD to install XP on the partition manually. It works.

[messageboxreport]
xpos-1024=689
ypos-768=114
Maybe you can change the ypos-768 setting in your file to move the dialog box back up to where it was. Strange that you cannot drag it by its edge though.

I have no idea how it happened - it's really weird!

Have you tried changing your screen resolution?
And, just to make sure, you have tried both dragging the message box from its upper edge and its lower edge, right? Because I think there is a minimum message box height setting, so if it is already at the minimum dragging up on the lower edge won't work, but dragging up on the upper edge should. If you can drag up on the upper edge, then you should afterward be able to drag up on the lower edge.

Kaldor, thank you so much - it worked! I pulled the box up all the way and then was able to pull it up from the bottom.
Thanks again!
Glad to help out. Have fun.

FOR MoW there is only the PC version. However, it can be used. You just need to unzip it and then move (place) the files in their correct location. As for the noCD patch issue for the Mac. As far as I know. There isn't one. For the PC yes but none for the Mac.

I am having a strange problem. I am running the fully patched version from the App store + both expansions. My dialog window shows up in a place I dislike. I try moving it but whenever I enter a new area the window goes back to the default location. Is this normal? Having played in windows, once I moved the dialog window the or any other part of the UI would stay to where placed. In the MAC version they constantly move back to the default location.
I've tested this on my system and have the same issue, so it looks like a bug. Maybe changing the values in the guisettings.ini file by hand will allow you to relocate it. That file should be in ~/Library/Application Support/Neverwinter Nights 2/ui/default. The message dialog settings (for 1024x768) look like this:
[messageboxreport]
xpos-1024=
ypos-768=

If you want to buy the current MacUpdate promo bundle (https://www.mupromo.com/) (NWN 2, Tech Tool Pro 6, and several shareware programs), as I just did, you will get a version of NWN 2 that does not need the CD. (Since you need to download the software (4 GB for NWN 2, 1 GB for TTP and/or about 150 MB, IIRC, for the shareware. The three aforementioned can be downloaded separately.) You will have to pay $50, but it might be worth it to you, especially if you want TTP (itself normally $100) or some of the shareware. The bundle is a huge discount off the software individually. Anyway, that is an option.
