I strongly oppose the aim of this thread.
As the saying goes, "Happiness writes in white ink on a white page."
For the sake of their work, all writers should be kept as miserable as possible.
THat saying refers to poetry, song writing, and creative writing. It's hard to write when you're happy.
Has nothing to do with giving another person a compliment.

Right. Because if you pour your blood, sweat, and tears into something for years and all you ever hear is how negative people are and how much they hate what you're doing, that sure is helpful, right?
Most people complaining have nothing constructive to say, nothing that will add anything. They know what we don't like. Hearing how much we hate it over and over must suck some serious donkey balls.
This is one lone star of support in a galaxy of hate, man. This isn't hurting anything. I hope they feel better, that they know we appreciate them.
If you're here, you must want this game to be good, right? The reservations, complaints, fears that you have can go elsewhere. Here is for telling them that, despite all of that, you have some faith.

Yes. Use the power of your resentment and bitterness. Forge it into a diamond-hard fist of pure hatred. Pound that fist against your laptop's keyboard.

Actually, it's my money in EA's pocket and EA pays their surely miserable salary from the hundreds of millions they make.
EA's table scraps in their bellies should be enough support.
There we go, that's so much better.

You will still not get the game for free, though.
Exactly!
Last I looked Devs were paid quite handsomely for their efforts!
Dont know about the OP but when I screw up at work I get flak from my supervisors and/or the customers!
I consider many of the changes to be illogical screw ups and as a customer Im going to give them flak for it, not false platitudes!

EA brings in a lot -- and shells out a lot.
Buying Bioware was crazy expensive for them, and despite the fact that everything Bioware has done since has been a pretty big success, they are still struggling with their balance sheet -- and had a round of layoffs just a few months back.
Compassion for the beancounters -- it's a gassy diet.

Some have their doubts, some even opting out,
What one fan loves, another loathes,
Presumably you must feel your being fed to the crowes,
But you know the fans will keep you on your toes,
Please do what you need to do,
And all that is due to you will prove what you always knew,
That despite all the doubters and haters, your true fans maintain support and love for you.
All the best-

Still doesn't change the fact that, as the publisher, EA gets the dough and not BioWare.

What exactly does Dev stand for? I know who it refers to, but what is it short for?

I just want to say to the devs to keep their hearts up despite all the flak they are getting about the changes to DA2. While I admit I am a little concerned about the changes, I trust that Bioware will continue to make the same great games they always have. Don't get discourage because of all the flames you are receiving. You have made great games and you will continue to do so. Keep up the amazing work.
To everyone else, please support the devs. They work hard to provide us with awesome entertainment. Be glad that they are devoted to such excellence.
I don't mean to fill the forum with more clutter, but I felt that the devs need some support and encouragement after all the junk I have read people saying about them.
Once again, Keep up the amazing work devs!
Thanks! Though I'll point out that
a) we're used to this.
c) not everyone's going to be on board as a result of (
But thank you for the vote of confidence.

Dude, I'm not going to close down every thread that repeats a topic or I'd be here all day. I'll restrict myself to the ones that are the posting equivalent of streaking and I'll leave it at that.

Quite the contrary mon ami - people fear that the games they love will be followed up and destroyed by crap expansions and sequels instead of expanding upon and adding to an already exceptional storyline

Isn't streaking something normally considered to be taking ones cloth off and running through a public place? I do wonder how a thread or post looks like that is the equivalent of streaking
