Description
The world once hosted a mighty civilization with advanced magic and technology. A mighty cataclysm destroyed the world and tore holes in the very fabric of reality. In a post apocalyptic world players struggle for survival while trying to rebuild civilization.
Freescape offers a unique sandbox roleplaying realm where the players physically change the world and create the fun. Structures can be placed arround the world. Broken bridges can be repaired and everything can be crafted by the players.
Forge your own destiny!
Features
- Crafting and camps - Players can travel the world. Overcome its obstacles and gather its resources back to improve their home camps or craft equipment. Bridges can be repaired. Crafting stations can be built. Bridges can be repaired. Civilization can spread.
- Intense roleplaying action - You'll find no goblin encounters or NPC merchants in Freescape. A core principle is that intelligent behavior requires an intelligent mind behind it. Instead players will get the chance to play monsters themselves and harrass those pesky settlers or craft traps for their lair. That along with DM run events will ensure player driven entertainment.
- Playable subraces - Players are able to play most basic subraces along with several monster types like goblins and kobolds. More powerfull subraces (i.e. minotaurs or vampires) will be playable with DM permission.
- Find lost knowledge - Uncover hidden secrets and learn the lore of the world before the cataclysm. Earn experience from reading books. Unlock mysterious powers and struggle to control them. The lore of the world is unwritten and will gradually evolve through events in game.
Help needed
The world is currently in its beta stage and still needs lots of testing and building. I'm putting together a team of scripters, DM's and builders. Whatever you got I'm sure we can find a use for it.
Whats most needed right now is a scripter and some players. Hosting would be nice at some point too.

Other info:
I've made a bioware community project. If it works out alright I'll upload base modules and stuff there.

I'll be putting the module online periodically to test out persistency and stuff. Look for it under the gamespy roleplaying section.
Thanks goes to Chass' late World of Isandor which have inspired me to start this project and for some concepts i have shamelessly copied. Also thanks goes to the Overgate Community who've done a lot of the work for me.
