I'm trying to complete the landsmeet and every time I attempt it, the Xbox completely locks up. The lockup occurs when I defeat Loghain, with everything frozen on the screen. What can I do to get past this fight and continue the game? Right now I am stuck since every time I defeat him, the game freezes.

This is a very frustrating issue. I'm 45 hours in and completely stuck in a required quest for story progression. :-\\
Anyone have any pointers? Total xbox lockup when I fight Loghain and make the deathblow.

Hey. You could try installing the game to your hard drive, if you haven't already, I ran into this same issue with Bioshock 2. It kept freezing at this exact spot, but only when I attacked the security camera. I installed the game to my hard drive and it was like it never happened.

Thanks Agonnee. I currently have it installed on my HD. Maybe I'll uninstall it and run it from disc.
Appreciate your help, but I am disappointed in Bioware that there is a bug of this scale in a required quest.

I'm sorry to hear that. Any chance you have a save before the fight? If you do, you might be able to load it from there and whatever bugged itself may work itself out. Just guessing at this point.

Yeah, I have the save right before the fight, but no matter what I try, it freezes when I strike the deathblow on Loghain, so I'm hopelessly stuck since that's part of the main questline.

Well, a bright spot, at least the game is fun enough to replay through! And you can go get achievements you missed!
It may also help to burn things, quietly in a corner.... Always makes me feel better!
