LOL. I actually thought that if our Warden were to appear at all in DA2, it'd probably be like this. Maybe even just in a flashback cutscene.

Also, dude. Try some punctuation. It's free.

I think it would be entirely possible to have a "mysterious stranger" character with the face of the your Grey Warden appear in the game -- even if only for a brief, cryptic cameo.

For those who made the ultimate sacrifice, you could instead have a little sequence with mourners (or critics and backbiters) at the warden's tomb.

Ooh! Warden's tomb. Great idea. That'd be a nod to fans, and it'd save 'em money since they wouldn't even have to show everyone's warden. Y'HEAR THAT BIOWARE?! WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE!

Although of course -- I'm forgetting that the events of Origins are not yet over when Rise to Power begins. The tomb would have to show up halfway through.

That would extremely cool. They did say that you would experience some events for a different viewpoint. That would be a great way to do it.

I think they will involved you somehow but I don't think you will actually interact with your old character. I guess we will have to wait and see.

We'll probably hear a lot from our Warden (did you hear? The Warden settled the dispute about Orzammar's throne. Maybe we'll finally be able to trade with the dwarves again), but I really doubt we'd see her/him. Too many variables. Since the game is fully voiced, the Warden can't speak (or if they could, which voice?). There's 4 different fighting styles, and dozens of spells for mages, so if we see them fighting, how would they fight?

My Warden usually uses a modded appearance (hair, colours). If these are not included in DA2 (and they won't), then what?

Although he wasn't fully voiced, didn't the Warden have... well... somewhat of a voice? You can choose between different voices so that the Warden can make a comment on what he/she is doing, so what if he/she makes an appearance using one of the voices that you selected from the first?

It's a stretch, I know, but it would be cool if they could do it somehow...

Yes, and there's about 30-36 different voice sets. Good luck with that.

Does the mysterious stranger come with a .44 magnum?

I like the idea of stuff you do in Lothering having an effect on Hawke, or at least someone he knows.

Honestly, I would be happy with just a few mentions of the Warden's adventure here and there and possibly a tomb or memorial if you made the Ultimate Sacrifice.

I would love if there was a moment in the game when the archdemon was defeated and something massive happened. Along the lines of LotR when the ring is destroyed and we see the orcs being affected elsewhere. That would be an awesome moment that wouldn't matter which ending, but would give a cool effect of this happening at the same time.

Oops - on the actual topic of this thread. I'm guessing that Hawke will see Sten in the cage, and possibly talk to him, and may also interact with Leliana at the chantry. Since the destruction of Lothering happened after one plot section was completed, we know that the hero of DAO must have passed through while Hawke was still there. I'm guessing he/she will only be mentioned, rather than shown. It would be cool if we got to see Morrigan during one of her visits to Lothering and could choose to help her escape or chase her with the templars.

I would be happy with a few mentions, but it would be pretty cool if there were a cutscene of young Hawke and Bethany in Lothering seeing the Warden passing through or freeing Sten or something. I have a feeling that we won't be in Lothering long though, and if we ARE there for any length of time, it will be right at the Darkspawn attack.

I don't think it'd be too much of a stretch for Flemeth to have some opinions on the Warden, though she might not want to share them immediately.

Indeed, Your Warden may save Hawke, scowl then say'onto the next' or try very hard to say something profound and wise to give guidance to Hawke, but be unable to think of anything and say 'that didn't work'
