So I'm crafting a shield for the end of the OC, but mainly for MotB.  I play an Aasimar Sor6/Pal4/EK/10/ASC10.  I amnot planning to use the Auto-still spell epic feats, although I suppose I could.

As a result, I want to craft a reasonably nice shield for myself with 0 ASF.  I initially made a Mithral Heavy Shield +5, but then I discovered I couldn't enchant it further in the OC, since the weight reduction and -15 ASF both count as enchantments.  I was kind of annoyed about that, but live and learn.  Fortunately, I have a fair number of gems, so not a big deal.

It seems like using a Zalantar Light shield +5 is a much better idea, since it only lowers AC by 1, but frees up an extra enchantment slot which can be used for immunity to crits or some other enchantment.

So I'm wondering - what is a good 2nd enchantment for a shield?   The only candidates that seem really interesting are elemental resistance 30 and immunity to crits.

Not having played MotB, I'm not quite sure what would be handy, so I thought I'd ask.

PS: I'm also interested in advantages/disadvantages of auto-still spell.  It would be nice to use armor, but it seems like a huge sacrifice to give up 4 feats, especially since you can only really take advantage of the auto-still once you've spent 3 feats (restricting yourself to 3rd level and below is pretty rough, at least 6 and below gives you chain lightning, fireburst, greater Stoneskin, etc.).

Fortify (crit immunity) should be your choice whether you have one slot available or four.
