Who would you rather have as your main character Hawke , The Greay Warden , a npc that was in your party or morrigans child?

So back to the topic...I'd rather play Hawke. I think the Warden's story may only have enough left in it for one more expansion (please???). And anyway, I think it's only fair to start off with a new character since DA2 is a new setting.

I don't care as long as I get to ride a griffon or a dragon this time.

hmm you would think if i say this may be reported it would show I am not rpetending to be a mod but a regular forum poster seeing something bad.

I personally would like an end to the warden story.

I would gladly take hawke though.Since I rather not buy DLCs.

Calling people trolls and announcing that you will report them is a form of harassment.  And really, you're only doing it because you upset about something I said in another thread.

Er, really, if we're talking DA2 at this point it feels wrong to compare Hawke and character I'm attached to. I'll just wait to answer this after I've played the game.

Well obviously since you are not getting the details correct I will now Ignore.

My only problem with Hawke is that he is the only race and story which makes me feel the replay will be a ton less than the first DA:O

True the differences were small I still tried to search for them.

I'm more than happy for a new character and story that isn't the Warden, and I'd really rather not play as Morrigan's child.

That being said, I'd also like the ability to make my OWN character, and not be forced into playing as Shepa- I mean Hawke.

So really...um...none of the above.

Although, I would prefer to play as the warden, I don't mind playing as Hawke. In fact, Hawke sounds like a fairly interesting character. Bioware has a tendency for creating wonderful IP's with a rich story, a huge lore that adds to the depth of the game, and a talented cast to boot. Either way, this is definitely a must buy for me.

I'm going to wait to withhold judgment until I get to experience what Hawke has to offer.

Ideally we will see our Warden again in DA:3. Maybe in DA:3 they can take the fan favorites from DAO/A & DA2 for some purpose.

After near 100 hours w/ my Warden... I want to MOVE ON! New main character time!

I can't really say I would rather have Hawke though, cause frankly, all I really know about him is he looks bad ****. Ain't really enough to go on, you know?

Allright here's the update, folks!

Hawke: 21

"Don't care as long as game is good" : 18

Warden: 13

"God-child": 3

"Play as Darkspawn": 2

"Adventures of Dog" (this was my choice): 2

Flemeth: 1

None of the above: 1

Wow, I didn't actually expect Hawke to get 1st place. I'm gonna go back and count again.

I'm fairly indifferent about who we play as as long the story is good. And as long as we're not the god-baby thing. That interests me not at all.

People are saying they want there grey warden but by the looks of this biowares new direction by going with a new character(Hawke) is becoming more popular

I am fine with whatever the answer may be, as long as my Warden isn't mentioned or treated as a POS in the story. I don't mind playing Hawke, as long as the whole Morrigan thing is happily resolved with my Warden. In fact, I HOPE it is resolved in some DA:O or DA:A DLC!

I am not a fan of playing Morrigan's child; at least not as a main character. The character, assuming the child is a solid 8 or 9 years, could fight as an ally (since the child is an old god, he/she would be truly powerful for his/her age)

The second we had a god child I wanted to play as the child as a main character. Far better character material than being forced into being a Grey Warden sympathizer.

I didn't buy Awakening because even though I could import my wardens, I just didn't feel like I could really PLAY my Wardens because, well, hardly any of them actually stuck around after the last battle. The only one who enjoyed being a Warden died at the end XD

I also heard that if you created a new Orlesian warden you couldn't load data and Alistair was automatically king, and that pissed me off. If I'm wrong please correct me. (...geez, I hope I'm wrong, although then I actually might be tempted to buy it and that's forty bucks I don't really have.)

Anyway, my point is, I like having a new main character because that leaves me free to imagine my DA:O characters doing whatever I want 'em to do postgame. And that makes me happy.

No, sadly you are correct. I feel your pain. I got it as a present, played it once, and that was it. You have no idea how bad it is. I mean, if you think you're tongue-bathing the Warden order with love in DA:O, DA:A takes it to another level. It lacks polish, yada yada as a game, but I just absolutely cannot play it as an RPG because of the huge character derailment.

That being said it you can go against the grain and be yay Warden from the start as an Orlesian.

You've either got coward Warden as an important if you liked Wardens in DA:A (let someone else take the blow) or not-actually-a-Warden.

Bioware was smart to release that DAO 2 is coming out because DA,A was really a set back and people were dought the future of DAO.

Wow.  It must almost make you wish you could just ignore the characterisation BioWare tries to assign to you.
