So, I just tried to download the game and it stopped at a point and said the game was not installed because of bad error. I tried to download the game again but it still failed to download. I got the game for my birthday for PC and it worked before but now it doesn't. Does this have to do anything with me having windows-64 bit?
I can't download dragon age onto my computer

Oh, you're trying to install the game? Downloading and installing are two different things.
Have you made sure the disc is clean? Do you encounter any errors with other games?

Did you try installing in compatibility mode and as administrator? I've read that there are issues with Windows 7 installing from the default installer that also seem to apply to Vista as well. On Windows 7, I had to install in XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode.
Quick guide, if you haven't:
1. In Windows Explorer, right click on the icon for the Dragon Age CD, and select "Open."
2. Right click "Setup.exe" and choose Properties.
3. Using the top tabs (General, Compatibility, Digital Signatures, Details), click on "Compatibility."
4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area, click the check box, and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" from the drop down menu right underneath the check box.
5. In the "Privilege Level" area toward the bottom of the window, click in the "Run as Administrator" check box.
6. Click OK.
7. After the window closes and you're back in Windows Explorer, double click "Setup, exe" and it should install correctly.

lizzbee, i did it your way, but when i double click the setup, the installer comes up and it has a 10 seconds pause at the beginning of the installation and then another window pops up and says
"Setup has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. These requirements must be met before you can install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2"
"Requirements and Software Prerequisites:
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2
This product is not supported on X64 operating system."
then on the bottom of the window it says [Print] or [Exit Setup] and i click exit setup, but it goes on installing. the game installs the core.rar files but around 25% of the env.rar file, the installation stops and says "Installation Failed! The installation of Dragon Age: Origins has failed. A Data error occured."

OMG lmao. Thanks lizzbee.. your solution works out its just that i wasn't supposed to double click the setup. instead i was supposed to pop the CD back in and install it from there. thank you lizzbee!!
