Finally an offer to create githyanki heads, increasing the chance that we'll see invisg0th's dynamic models one day? And by Estelindis, on top of it? (Not to mention I read something about Estelindis working on a module there...) *barely hiding his excitement*
:o YAY!

Don't be too excited on the module front, my dear. I've been working on it for seven years! God only knows when it'll be done.

On the plus side, my first githyanki head *is* nearly done. She has very elaborate hair, and I need to decorate it texture-wise, but the modelling is finished. I'll post it when I'm happy with it, and ye can let me know if it's the sort of thing you're looking for!

Hello. Here, Phoenix, creator of In the Cage. Some time ago I made a few heads for githyanki using the model by Mr. Dave. Here is a link to his work: http://nwvault.ign.c....Detail&id=1249

I am providing pictures of my modest modifications and a link to the download:

They are not the best made, but when I created them, just started altering play with models.

Sorry for my terrible English.

Hey Phoenix, I'm glad you finally joined us here! :)

I think the heads look great and hope Invisig0th will consider adding them to his dynamic githyanki race, the more choices for heads the better. In any case, thanks for sharing them!

btw has anyone the full list of people who were part of CODI? I have a limitless admiration for their work, but have no idea who they were >.<

I'm not sure if I have a full list, but I could certainly get you most of them.

Also, I wanted to clear any doubt about the Mortuary.  It truly was unreleased CODI content that was later found sitting on the hard drive of a member and sent over to Rogue Dao as part of an effort to do some conversion to NWN2 of CODI stuff.  It's nice to see these little gems of work come to light.

I'm not sure if anyone else had forwarded this info along (since it wasn't mentioned and I didn't see it in any of Phoenix's screenshots), but another unfinished group, the Stem group, exists for the CODI Sigil Exterior set as well.

I hope this effort can bring some more great things to the game! :)

Interesting news, Khuzadrepa, thanks! Do you think that would make it okay for Phoenix to also release the Mortuary as a NWN placeable (assuming it is a placeable)? And does anyone have access to the unfinished tileset group by CODI?

Are some of the CODI members still around here, btw? On the BSN forums (e.g. because of Dragon Age or something)?

If it's a placeable there, I'm sure it's fine, however, the original is actually an 8x8 group of tiles for the Sigil Exterior.
I have a copy of the unfinished Stem group, but someone was working on fixing up the walkmesh issues it had.  If you can't get that, I'll gladly get you a copy of what I have.
And some of the CODI members are still around here.  I'm sending you a pm with some contact info.

Thanks, Khuzadrepa!

Sadly I've got next to no knowledge of custom content creation and modification myself, so I wouldn't really know what to do with the tileset groups... But it would be very cool if we could find someone proficient here who's interested in taking a look at them. Who knows, it might be of use for Phoenix' Planescape project (who could then release it to the public afterwards - unless he already got a hold of these groups somehow). Or someone from Project Q? Or Friedeyes who fixed the publicly available Stem Interior set? Or Jez?

Is anyone here keen on checking out some unreleased CODI stuff?

You might want to send a PM to members of Project Q, Khuzadrepa. I know _Six is quite active on these forums.

I say this because they (Or at least Six) have been trying to contact various ex-members of CODI to get permission to finish and release any unfinished content they made. They're some of our best custom content people in the community right now, you should really look them up or, alternatively, I'll point them to this thread.

This is a good thought.  Certainly point them this way, if they are interested, I'll give them all the info and files I've got.
I'll probably shoot Sixes a note, too.

It's just a thought but does anyone know of a free-standing spiral staircase placeable that they can point me towards. Otherwise how are you supposed to implement the infinite staircase? Planescape isn't just Sigil you know.

Tell you what would be nice, either a placeable for the Infinite Spire, or possibly an Outlands tileset with potential for stuff like the various Gatetowns and such. I spent hours once trying endlessly to stack boulders and huge rock placeables one on top of the other in an attempt to create a convincing Infinite Spire, and all the graphic lag was immense, not to mention it looked horrible. The aim for such a thing would basically be to create a large Spire that you can see from a distance even if you make the biggest area possible and place it in one end of the map, and start on the other side. A placeable would probably work the very best in terms of making it so that you can actually place it a bit 'outside' of the map, making it so that you can walk around it across several areas. Plus the possibility for small walkways, caves, etc, for the barmies who might attempt to climb it.

Just an idea, at least. I just think it wouldn't be the Spire if you were able to see the whole thing from a distance.

Greets

As I always think that it is a good idea to know exactly what is available, if you are going to ask for more, I have compiled the following. It is a list of the non prime material plane tilesets that can be used for planescape modules. Where there is more than one version of a tileset I have tried to list the most complete and more fully debugged version. If you think I've missed a tileset please let me know.

The first 2 are the most obvious.

CODI's Sigil Exterior and Stem Interior By Friedeyes
Planescape Baator 1.0 By FAST_Rex

Next we have 4 Fire-Plane variations,

EtherPlanes - Fire Desert v1.0 By GuS
EtherPlanes - Rural Fire v1.0 By GuS
Hellish Caves By Tiggsie
The Fire Plane version 2.0 By spoonmerlin

and a general diabolical one.

Abyss By Elesias

Most numerous are the shadow plane tilesets the best of which (in my opinion) is -

Shadow Plane Exterior Tileset v1.0 By senemenelas

The reason that the shadow plane is the most numerous is that TheMountain found a method of creating shadowy versions of normal tilesets and ran with it. As well as the tilesets listed here TheMountain also created creatures and placeables for the shadow plane.

Shadow Castle v2.0 By TheMountain
Shadow City for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Crypt for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Dungeon for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Forest for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Interior for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Mines for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Plane Tree City By TheMountain
Shadow Rural for SoU By TheMountain
Shadow Sea By TheMountain
Shadow Sewer for SoU By TheMountain

Now we come to the weird stuff. One thing to note is that the two tilesets by Stilgar are different from one another.

The (Elemental) Plane of Cheese By Sir Attilla
Organic Mines V2.0 By Stilgar
Organic Mines/Caves (Flesh) V0.8b By Stilgar
MGS Rural 'Over The Rainbow' By MGSkaggs
Floating Roads Tileset v1.1 By Gaia_Werewolf

Finally we come to the works of Plush Hyena of Doom. Personally I think anything that PHoD produces is worth a look. I have made an exception here and included a link to the corresponding placeables because they add so much to the relevant tilesets. You might also want to take a look at the creatures that PHoD has produced.

PHoD H.R.Giger Tilesets and Placeables
PHoD Metal City Tileset
PHoD Metal Crypt Tileset
PHoD Metal Vault Interior Tileset Thing
PHoD Metal Placeables of Doom
PHoD Metal Wastelands Tileset
PHoD Sinister Spleen Surgery

So there you have it. So far, I make it that there are 30+ non prime material plane tilesets that are suitable for planescape. Anyone care to do similar lists for creatures and placeables?

Thanks for compiling that list. It's worth mentioning though that you left out a few pretty excellent offerings. You included some Abyssal/Hellscape tilesets which are basically just reskins of the Bioware rural, while neglecting to include LordofWorms' very excellent, from-scratch take at that kind of landscape.

So the list is welcome and much appreciated, but there's other great stuff out there too.  Maybe given time we can add to it and make a complete, definitive document.

The "nothing to see here" version of my Spectral Woods tileset is what I used to use for a shadow-plane like environment. It's hiding here. Not sure if it's that useful but it does have raise/lower and water as far as I recall, which the regular Spectral Woods doesn't.

Thanks for the input Eradrain. Perhaps you could post the name of the tileset in question because I thought LoW had done something along those lines but couldn't find it when I looked. Oh and a link would be nice as well.

Thanks for this helpful list, TR!

I think the tileset Eradrain refers to is WoRms' Scorched Earth (also included in the Arbor Falls hakpak but the versions seem identical).

One screenshot showing Scorched Earth and two other "extreme" tilesets also has a space/astral plane(?) kind of tileset by WoRms but I couldn't identify it yet. Not sure if WoRms ever made it available to the public.

Everyone, feel free to add more suggestions! :)

OL, the space/astral looking one is part of Extreme Tilesets (ARCHIVED) - scorched earth, planar and desert oasis tileset which are contained in a single hak. One I left out was City of Brass By MGSkaggs. I left it out because it is not complete - you have to have the author's Desert City tileset installed in order to use it.
