That's right, this is a thread for hoping we will get a companion with Robin Sachs' (Zaeed, Varel) voice.

Also Liz Sroka <3

As much as I like his voice, I don't think he should voice two relatively important characters in the same series.

No offense to Liz Sroka, but no Tali in my DA, thank you very much...

He's already done it in DA:O. Harrowmont and the Seneschal bloke in Awakening.

The problem being?

He's already done it and worked out fine, I don't see why he can't have another role.

Haha, guys this really isn't a big deal. OnlyShallow is correct here. A good voice actor can sound like many different people without you being the wiser. It's not like watching The Departed, then being unable to imagine Leonardo DiCaprio in a role that isn't the Titanic.

While this can happen with a good voice actor who has a super distinctive voice like Simon Templeman (people just kept thinking "KAIN!!" when they heard Loghain) it isn't the same as it is with film actors.

Liz Sroka did some good voice-over as Tali, but it's possible you won't even recognize her in Dragon Age II.

I agree, he's a great voice actor and I've always been happy to see his name in anythig since I first saw him playing a Narn in Babylon 5.

I am also rather fond of Graham Mactavish (Arl Eamon), who has a good range (he was the old school SAS guy in the latest Rambo).

Hmm, fair enough. Though after listening to Harrowmont again, I can't keep myself from thinking of Zaeed when he's taking.

Then again, I just discovered that my Warden was voiced by Sachs as well... Oh, the irony!

BioWare likes to reuse their old voice actors. While I wouldn't stake my life on him being there, they tend to keep the good ones. ;)

Yeah, it makes sense to reuse people who have done great wok before. Jen Hale, Steve Blum, and Raphael Sbarge have done great work multiple times in different BioWare games. It's not like I'd hear FemShep and think "man, that sounds just like Bastila!" or recognize Grunt's voice after hearing Oghren.

I'd be for this. I liked Varel's voice quite a lot. I hope Bioware ends up reusing Steve Valentine for something in the future. For me, VAs who can do a bunch of different voices are sort of less important than if they can act well. Bonus points if they can do both, but people like Templeman and Valentine I thought did great performances in their DAO roles despite having rather distinctive and recognizable voices.

Well Robin Sachs would be great as either companion, narrator or both.

He does a great war veteran as Zaeed and I would love to see him as some dwarf from the Warrior Caste exiled to the surface and joining Hawke hoping to regain his honor, or something like that...

Of course. I just feel that people like Jen Hale or Steve Blum manage to have both acting skills and the ability to sound like different people.

Somebody I'd love to see in another game is Crispin Freeman. Guy was awesome as Gann-of-Dreams in Mask of the Betrayer.  Women would go nuts for him too, he has a very seductive voice. The actress who did Kaelyn the Dove, Cat O'Conner, managed to pull off a very emotional performance too - I'd love to see these actors in some BioWare games.
