Hmmm if it is a huge war this could set up some serious plot for future DA games.....also if Thedas is already ravaged by war that could set up a very serious future Blight in a future game as blights tend to occur when countries are weaker.....either way March is too far away
Now there is a possibility that enough blood-shed will cause some other problems like mass demonic envasion through more tears in the veil!

I am not sure about that. I think it takes various occurances in the same location over and over again for the Veil to be torn. I mean, the Battle of the Silent Plains (where 1/3rd of the armies of the world were slain) and the battle that ended the Third Blight were some of the most bloodiest battles on Thedas, ever, and yet a massive demonic invasion never occured in those cases.

perhaps soul-less creatures dying does not count as blood-shed.

But humans and elves have souls. One third of the armies of Thedas (meaning the armies of all the nations) were slain at the Silent Plains.

Brecillian Forrest: Some guys die, massive infestation by spirits
Black-marsh: Some Girls die, Massive tears in the veil
The Orphanage in Alienage: Some children Die, huge number of demons.
Silent Plains: Third of Thedas Army dies, NO Demons.

The orphanage...well...it was horribly WRONG. Dozens of CHILDREN died. Think about all the anger and sadness and rage that would have been present at that point.
But a single battle....well, fighting darkspawn is pretty much fighting to preserve Thedas. There aren't as many negative emotions, imo.

I think it has to do with the emotion behind the events. In the Brecillian Forest, first it is the place of massive conflicts between Tevinter and the Elves/barbarians. Then, according to the Arcane Warrior phylactery thing, the humans and elves together fought something. All that death and bloodshed, over hundreds of years would have caused a lot of different emotions.

It's The Warden, everywhere he/she goes there's trouble,always.
That's why Zevran and Leliana are so crazy about staying around, they love the thrill

True but a world war in Thedas could cause those negative emotions to tear the veil before the Blight takes places....if all the countries were warring it would be a ripe opportunity for both the veil of the Fade to open and foranother Blight to begin.....I hope this happens in a future game....although Thedas would probably be doomed if it did

Not if the warden leads its armies, it won't.

That is true if the Warden could unite Ferelden, then I am sure the Warden could help to unite Thedas.....it will be interesting to see the plot of DA2 and how Hawke changes Thedas...I'm also curious to how we will see the events of DAO in a different way
I will enjoy seeing how I make Hawke do this. Even if in a future game we don't get to play our Warden I hope that there is another a Blight in the future of Thedas for future DA games, but one that affects all of Thedas not just Ferelden....it would be nice to see all the countries unite...and would be meaningful after we play some games that explore these other places, politics and after we have explored roles outside of the Wardens. I think after all this it would make returning to a Grey Warden role more fun. Plus, the Blight in Ferelden was a minor Blight compared to ones in the past.....I really would love to see a full scale Blight that impacts all of Thedas. Especially after we change Thedas as Hawke.

That is according to you...No offense, but I would like to do good and NOT tolerate the Templars while being affiliated with the Mage Circle..... Which was quite possible in the Original DA:O!
I agree, the Chantry and the templars seemed pretty vile to me from the perspective of a mage. The Magi Royal boon at the end was a pretty good reward for anyone who thought that what the Chantry and templars were doing to the mages was wrong. Considering DA2 will read the file from the saved game of DA:O I hope that comes into play, especially since Hawke can be a mage.
