You only gotta pay for the turrets and bars once.

Maintenance (when it comes to the turrets).

But then he cant feed himself.

Yes he can. His fingers and arms are mangled but he can lick the slop off his fingers if he needs to.

And if he starves to death?

Who is the Warden going to have beaten this time? The officer who ordered his crippling, perhaps?

Turn it off.

If a turrent is hacked then that means you have no control over it.

I suppose you could have the OTHER turrents shoot it up but then that brings up the problem of multiple hackings.

and the need to replace those machines.

Bleh. My head hurts.

Cut the power to that turret.

I almost never stop them, unless do want to see the renegade intimidate option.

You hear that guy who says he is in for small things like killing TWENTY people and he seems like a kind guy? Do you realize what kind of person we are talking about to be in there and kill someone? If you can't imagine then read the email you get after getting Jack from one of the prisoners....scary ****.

I don't judge people, as I feel only God can do that but man I would be hard pressed not to demand execution for a person like that.

Then you would have to fix the cables.

Meh. Guards are cheaper. Preferably a combination of guards and turrets.

Why are there no automated turrets in this game?

Unplugging it wont break the cables.

Guards need to be fed.

Streamlining.

There are. You first see them on Freedoms Progress.

You mean if he goes on a hunger strike? If he does that we'll force him to eat.

I was under the impression that those were robotic drones.

Well, if they're robotic, they're most likely automated.

1. Then couldn't someone just unplug every turret in the place?

2. Electricity aint cheap either.

Yes. But they're not turrets.

Eh. My view of a turret is an armored, automated, machine gun that is attached to a wall, ceiling, or popping out of the floor.

Only if they were in your central security hub, from where these things are controlled, at which point they can turn off life support so your screwed anyway.

Hmmmm....or maybe we can install a system where you need two officers to put in passwords before you can cut the power to a turret?

2 Cheaper than clothing, feeding, arming, armouring, training and keeping guards.

This thread is great, Interesting moral debate (imo).

Personally, I usually stop the beating, because I don't think is right to torture a person like that, and because I dislike Kuril from the onset, and don't care for his finances very much.

If the guy is as bad as we are informed, then the Shepards who think he deserves the beating should have the option to throw down the proverbial gauntlet and challange the prisoner to a fight, and just kill him and get it over with.

Of course you'd have to keep a few guards and other staff to watch the cameras, fix things, and look after the prisoners health.

You'd be really fuxored if someone managed to detonate an EMP bomb near the station though . . .

The EMP would also knock out the life support, killing all prisoners.

Not much of a rescue.

Well it's not like the the life support going off is going to kill everyone immediately. Plenty of time to get what you came for.

Of course this is pointless because the craft would likely be shot down before it even got close.

Did i neglect to mention how my floating dungeon of doom was desinged?

Theonly oxygen in the room is that being pumped into it. A few seconds without it and you run out of air.

Aaaaand im off to bed.

Will answer any more questions tomorrow.

I do not as it is none of my bussiness. I have no information as to why the prisoner is there, nor do i have any information as to why the guard feels it is necessary to single him out for some extra lovin.

Some people need to have thier walking around priviledges revoked then there are some who need thier breathing priviledges revoked.

Why would you even give a **** about criminals? They deserve to be punished befitting their crime and it is only fair that they suffer. Infact they should be used as human test subjects for Cerberus instead of innocent children like Gillian. So no I never convince the warden to stop beating him.

And from what I remember even if you choose the paragon option, that trash still sends you a threatening email after the mission.

Haha, this thread is awesome. The idea of beating someone's mental problems out of them is kinda like trying to grapple with a prime Fedor Emelianenko; you can try but it isn't going to get you anywhere.

Even my renegades tell the guards to stop. Being bad is one thing, but sadism is intolerable. (unless they really deserve it)

Nah. That E-mail was from the guy in the cell next to his. The one you talk to.

Who am I to tell the guard how to do his job? He doesn't come onboard the Normandy and look over my shoulder and tell me what to do.

You tell 'em. Personally, I find it intrusive to tell a teacher to stop beating or molesting children who misbehave. I mean, I wouldn't like it if they came to my job & told me to fix up the cover sheets for my TPS reports.
