That being said, Bioware, I understand EA's probably forcing you to downgrade and make some cuts to reduce costs but are you really certain that there isn't enough leftover profit from DA 1 to hire 4 additional VA's, maybe 1-2 more writers and perhaps add an extra disc so that we aren't all forced to play as the human "master race"?

Is it a problem that EA used all the profits from the first game to cover their losses?  Maybe they used it to give extra dividends to the shareholders?  Or perhaps the Bioware team spent it all on cocaine/stripper parties?  If not then please invest 6.8% more money and time into not forcing everyone to join the noble Aryan race, thank you.

I don't really think that hiring new people (especially for positions we know nothing about) is really going to solve anything. Also, you may not want to compare BioWare to the **** party.

Well, they are making out humans to be the supreme master race and rigidly forcing every last player to be denied the right to experience DA as a lowly dwarf of elf.  Seems rather.... iffy to me.

Uh, no, I think not. I can always read a book or two instead.... Actually, with the time I've spent on DA:O, I can read a couple of dozen books. More. Maybe it will be a good thing if they stop making real RPGs.

Yup, While im disappointed in the direction of DA2. Ive already found 3 possible replacements for it (downloading one via Steam right now) and have a number of books to read.

Real RPGs will never truely stop existing on computer and for those of us with imaginations that are not limited to action fixes, book will always be a happy diversion!

You can sign me up for that club.  The alternatives are out there and for me the alternative is not to play a sub-par game, but to read a book, write, or clean my house.  So if DA2 sucks, all in all it could be a good thing. :innocent:

However I imagine that people who have a more ingrained gaming habit will settle for whatever the game companies spit out.

You're totally accurate, they are denying our rights.  I say we file a class action lawsuit, the supreme court will make Bioware pay for this grievous breach of human rights.

I think the irony of your situation is delicious, for years PC gamers have suffered accusations of elitism and been told to mellow out by the console crowd over the “perceived” dumbing down of our games to accommodate them.

Soon your time will come, when the Pablum munching fun-for-the-whole-family crowd accuse you lot of being a bunch of elitists and tell you that the new god of war format just makes it more swing and jump friendly and that’s it well worth the lack of proper graphics or the need for more than two choices of actions and that it certainly isn’t being dumbed down

I'm curious, what are you downloading via Steam?  None of the RPGs I've seen on there seem interesting and I wonder if I've missed one.  I'd like something to occupy my gaming time right now.
