Hey y'all--
So I was playing through a bloodmage elf and romancing Zevran. All was going smoothly until I recently hit a strange glitch where Zevran hasn't offered me his earring...
Now, here's all the surrounding factors to this situation: Zevran is currently at 99 approval with me. He was already given both of his special gifts (however after the Taliesan meeting). Here's where it gets interesting though: during the Taliesan meeting, Zevran didn't betray me, but didn't fight him. Afterwards, he never showed up for his convo after the fight, and no conversation triggered.
Now, I'm just about to head to Redcliffe for the endgame, and Zev still hasn't offered that damn earring. Did that screw it up? Will he offer it soon? Or should I just give up hope on this romance?
A Problem with Zevran's Romance...

I believe this is a bug, where if you choose the line "it would be hard to kiss you if you were away" (or something like that) during the Taliesin encounter, Zevran will walk away from the fight. Choosing that line isn't supposed to end the relationship or anything, but it's unfortunately bugged.
In the vanilla game, choosing that line leads to a bug where the romance gets stuck and never reaches "love", thus you won't get the earing.
Several mods fix this issue (search for "Dialogue Tweaks" or "Zevran Dialog Fix"), however they won't fix the issue retroactively. You'd have to install the mods and load a save before the Taliesin encounter.

Sounds to me like the flag to initiate a romance never triggered. I'm fairly certain Zevran not participating in the Taliesan fight indicates either not very high approval or being 'friendly' instead of 'warm'.

Ugh. That's so lame. So there'd probably be no way to re-trigger something that'd make Zevran give his earring, huh? I mean, I can't raise his affection any higher and I'm basically out of conversation options (save the "last mission" convo. Though I doubt that'd have a significant change on anything)

I'll take the liberty to link you to ejoslin's excellent Zevran romance FAQ. Everything you want to know is in there.
But nonetheless, you're screwed unless you revert to an earlier save, prior to the Taliesin encounter.
EDIT: I just noticed you have this game for the 360, so the mods I mentioned earlier are irrelevant to you.

It's definitely a bug. If you don't have a save before the Taliesan fight, the only thing I can think of is breaking up with him and praying that one of his romance trigger lines shows up (they're not always reliable). The best way to break up with him would be if you start up the romance with someone else and choose them over Zev--he loses fewer approval points that way.
Possible romance starters that could show up include:
"Do you stare at everyone like that?"
and the post-Taliesan friendship conversation, in which (if unromanced) you'll get the option to tell him, "I think of you as more than a friend."
Of course this assumes you haven't already used up those conversations, that the lines even show up, and that it's possible to raise his approval high enough again after that, etc etc... I'm really sorry to hear you got hit with a bug! =(
