is there a way to bring this spell in Dragon Age? the all-powerful stuff from Neverwinter?

probably the best implementation will be to paralyze all other creatures for 10 seconds without a save. Its not perfect, but a more accurate implementation might be a little too complicated/impossible.

heh I wanted the VFX and the "out of time flow" effect, but i guess this is the best bet!

To some extent it is possible, but I don't know how it would look in the newer engine.

which are the most obvious differences between the NWN and the DA engine?

There is a time slow effect in the game that's attached to the Ogre/Dragon deathblow animations but I don't think anyone's been able to figure out how to use it in custom spells/abilities.

That is a 'game speed' effect that you can see in the animation events editor. So far as I can tell, such an effect cannot be achieved via scripting, only by playing from an animation. I was able to manipulate the speed on the ogre animation (e.g. put it up to 10x, which is pretty funny), but adding the same event to other animations did not work; I don't know why.

Theoretically, you could create some animation for your spell that took the gamespeed down very low, but keep in mind that this effects EVERYTHING, including your character, so it wouldn't be much of a time stop.

I thought as much, that affects pcs too, not only enemies.

simply copy-paste of the nwn would not work, I take it?

nwscript is different from DAScript (is that what theyre called respectively?). its a whole new back end. so no to copy-paste.

can't blame myself for trying, though.

I think it should be possible to apply a slow movement effect to all creatures. Something like when you walk over grease slick floor.
