Just imagine, if frabjous returns to the old boards after all these years, and finds that we abandoned him :-( Same goes for Canman, I suppose, but I joined after his time in the sun.

Who else lives in our memories of the old boards, that probably won't make the change? I have half a mind to make a frab memorial.

The board will likely remain. You'd be able to read them but not post. But since both frabjous and canman have been absent for years I don't think you need to worry.

Another someone that went away was Konalan (I believe?)... there is frab and Canman of course. In fact, Canman disappeared shortly after I joined the BG forums back in July 2007. You can hold me responsible.

Frabjous said he was having a lot of work to do... and to keep playing the game. After that, he vanished.

Konalan I think he went to air school or something? He said he would leave for 4 weeks though (or months?)... he has forgotten us too.

Many others disappeared of course. There was Icendoan which I guess he got banned (by the looks of it). And others too... But their decisions really. I am still very happy to see some (very) old faces here. Like you mr. Irrbloss *waves*

Just to confirm: the old boards will remain there as a memorial for some time, I expect. I hadn't heard about any plans to make them disappear, they are just locked for posting by forum members.

So basically if we kidnapped the moderators and "convince" them to give us our old forums back, we'd obtain our death? Yeah, I guess so...

I still hope they put a black-blue layout on the social site. Heck, if we can have dragon age an mass effect layouts, why can't we have the BioBoards layout?

as sad as it is that old members have gone, you/we are facing a new age where people who haven't touched the game in a decade may revive their flame for the game, or lurkers like me make serious attempts at No-Reloads. you/we lost a lot, but there is much to anticipate from the future.

Lantier is dead and buried.  He made the mistake of straying from the path of pure BG goodness into the world of NWN.  An unforgiveable sin.  I have eaten his soul and stolen his R*t Bastard save game files. 

Now, if only someone will refudiate me out of this here gotcha-pentagram, I promise to resume that particular no-reload attempt on or before Nov 4, 2012.  You betcha.

Note that on these forums you can say things like "dammit" "hell" or "U s00ckorz" without getting banned. So go with it, be evil!

Jfyi, this be dragontoothdw - a rare scene on the old BG forums, but still feels it a necessity to post about it...even though hes reincarnated as Dsurian.

I miss frab so much...if only his presense would return, i would be indebted to play BG forever and ever, unendingly as a sacrificial testiment to his...frab-jous-ness...*longing sigh*

@Humanoid: stop being all pissy...be happy that we select few have managed to live on, dammit...or are you just grumpy since the KotOR avatars didn't survive?  On that note: @Kevin - you think you could convince important people to upload some of the more classic avatars from the old forums due to the merger...?

@d-l...if only they could manage to group the different forums into expandable and collapsable sections like they were on BioBoards - that would impress me more than just the classic color scheme,   *sigh* ...more and more this 'advanced forum' is dissapointing me, especially when they can't even copy the things that they did right on the old boards...except Lynch returning...that was some good ol' copy/paste

Well, apparently they fixed the thing that made the portraits of DA characters disappear... which means lots of custom avatars...

Oh, I agree 10000% on this. Especially on the collapse thingy... it's hard to find the BG forums, and then travel to say, Offtopic and general thingies forums. (yes I am a genius at naming things as they are : Thingies).
Well, the easiest way I found to travel to the BG forums is press the mid mouse button and drag the mouse with all the strength and length possible down south. Then just a bit up. And you are home :ph34r:

I almost gave up on the forums after the transition.  There is supposedly another Lantier account but I can't access it with any of my emails/passwords.  Quite annoying...  But then dreamy threatened me with massive bodily injury if I didn't join up.    So here I am.

I tell you, if you contact (evil) Chris, in one day your problem gets solved... maybe.

Besides, the email connected to the BSN should be the one connected to th boards. Go to the boards and check your email there manually.

As for time when this and that gets posted... no other way I'm afraid. Still, this got posted 10:10 AM, GMT+1, CET... Something +Somethingelse.
