I would go with human...I like them best they are not super skinny too tall too short or ugly...unless you make them ugly.

I played through the dwarf(which I loved!) and elf origins in DAO, but still prefer humans.

I like all races, I am just a bit curious about Qunari though.

But I am fine with playing as a Human in DA2 as long as they tell his/her story good, the Origin storys in DA:O didn't do your character as much justice as I hoped...

This may not be the aim of this thread....But so far, it's proving a "point". Most of the responses so far have been "human". You have to think that perhaps BioWare took this into perspective during the initial concept of DA2....In fact, probably this very same question arose "If we HAD to choose one race for DA2, what would it be?" to which I can see a poll being taken and the consensus came back "Human" and thus, we have Hawke.....Probably NOT what happened but still, it's food for thought XD.

If i wasn't  a piece of driftwood floating on the wild ocean i could of sworn that elves and dwarves are HUMANS. Or did that change since i went to sea?

Im going to hate myself for asking this but......How is that? lol Because even in Dungeons and Dragons Elves and Dwarves are NOT humans....They're HumanOID.....But not Human....Slight difference

Dwarves are simply the best. They got an awesome city, magic resistance, they are best merchants, they ride on brontos and have been keeping the entire darkspawn horde at bay by themselves for more than a milennium despite only having two cities left. All the other races' only purpose is to give us a perspective on how awesome the dwarves are by being lamer in every way.

If i was a Dwarf, i will start thinking my size sucks and inferior. I would hate to be a short, muscly and podgy guy, massive beard and possibly no hygiene. The Dwarven women are ugly.



If i was elf, i will be the victim of major racism and hate. Being a slave or living in a alienage must suck so bad.



If i was a Qunari? I have no idea.
