"When I die, make it look like I went out doing something awesome."
*Talking to T.I.M. before the relay* "If I die, I'm haunting your ass."
"I have a word to describe this planet. It starts with 's', ends with 't' and isn't 'seat'..."
"Single malt is like someone took a pot of gold, mixed with diamonds and made it into the tears of the angels."

The phrase no one on her team wants to hear:
"I'll drive!"

Predecessor to some of the best stories you'll ever hear:
"And then I drank tequila."

I came home and my download of DAII Demo was corrupted. *sadface*

*sigh* Waiting another hour or so.

Guess I can go play around with Photoshop some more in the mean time. ;-)

As for my FemSheps joking around:

Moira has a really dry sense of humor.  It's hard to tell when she's joking or not.
MacKenzie and Aislinn love a well-timed sarcastic comment.
Holly cracks a few jokes in my up-coming fanfic (Joker and Garrus banter).
Constance has no sense of humor, neither does Trista.

@Chignon

Love Noah in that black dress.

FemSheps and humor:

Renee, I see as being very good at keeping a level tone as she says something very funny, but can't keep it out of her eyes. She also does a few practical jokes on people she's quite familiar with.

Nimue has a rather dark one. She's the one who'd tell dead baby jokes.

I love your pictures, Rusty. My faves are the Liara screens, though. <3

Edit:  FemShep humor....

Kathryn is also a practical joke maker and says really cheesy jokes too.  Not only is she always appearing to be smiling but she aims for smiles on her crewmates and likes to keep an upbeat atmosphere on the Normandy.

Shai is not a jokester at all nor is she very friendly to most people.  I guess being such a scrooge is what makes her funny.  Her girlfriend manages to break out a few smiles from her and Liara lives for those moments. <3

Ok, I just played the DA2 demo and I just love the character design! More on topic, Lady Hawke's animations are what I want to see for ME3. Get rid of the monkey walk already, if the DA team can do it, so can you!

@Rusty Pabst: Can't imagine a more fitting name than Barbie :D

I loved the DA2 demo, but the female walk animation is probably my least favorite part of it. It just looks so awkward seeing Fem!Hawke strutting her hips around like she's on a runaway(with a two-handed sword on her back as well.)

Its time for yet another "FemShep Noir" installment.

This one was really more of a test then anything else.  To date, all of my "Noir" composites have been presented in Black & White (as is the most fitting for the period and style), save for two (one I did of ELE's Vera Shepard and my WWII era "Jane Shepard the Rivitor" poster).  These were both based on period art peices, so color matching was not as difficult as I had thought.

This time I decided to try a composite with a true color original photo and found color matching to be even more difficult than matching grey scales...but I'm quite happy how this turned out:

My own Madeline Shepard in 1941...presented in fabulous TECHNICOLOR!

I have a few more Shepards in the works and am considering doing a few in color.

@Mr. V: Nice one. So who got to be FemShep'ed?

As for humor, I want to do "a Hannah Shepard Visits the Normandy" in the two weeks between the games story, that's heavily influenced by P. G. Wodehouse in tone. The hard part for me will be properly characterizing her.

@Mr. V

That's lovely! You should definitely do some more color ones. =-)

Just finished the DAII Demo...

It was pretty fun, though I'm still not sure if I'm overly fond of the graphics. And holy crap does Isabela have big "assets".  I kind of miss the more muted realistic style of DA:O

I decided to try a warrior first, with a two-hander.  Definitely full of kick-*assery.  Think I'm going to go try a rogue next.

nice job Mr.V!

also a little something I posted in the inter party banter thread.

Femshep: Hello gentlemen, look at your woman.

gentlemen: *looks at their woman*

FShep: now back to me, now back to your woman now back to me! sadly, she isn't me but, she could sort of kick ass like me, if she chooses the female option when creating a new charater. she can change my face to whatever she thinks is pretty and then we go kill people in the name of saving the galaxy and sometimes for teh lulz. look down, now back up, where are you? on a spaceship filled with hot biotics and aliens. what's that in your hand? it's a controller (mouse for PC players) look up, now back to your hand,it's my game. you'll replay it several times in the coming year. anything is possible when you play femshep. I'm voiced by Jennifer Hale *old spice whistle*

Rogue is RIDICULOUS.  Killing an ogre by teleporting behind it every time it tries to hit you?  AWESOME.
The rogue is the new Vanguard.

Speaking of vanguards...

I wouldn't want LadyHawke's exact walk for FemShep (seems out of place for the military), but a better walking animation would be nice.

I'm SO glad Lady Hawke has her own set of animations, but I think they went a bit too far in the hip-swaying, limp-wristed run. Ah well, INFINITELY better than the stick-up-my-ass animations from DAO so I ain't complaining. I want Shep to get her own animations too, but not as overly "feminine".

My only issue with this is how they all kind of glide around.  That may have been fixed for the full game, but it kind of nags at me.
If only FemShep got the same treatment animationwise.

*longs for ME3*

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this thought!  To me, the rogue had that same feeling of charging in and zipping around like a very violent tornado.  It gave me that same feeling of haos and adrenaline as a vanguard.

In terms of FemShep's sense of humor, my large collection of FemSheps varies.   I think that Delta has a very corny sense of humor.  Nobody laughs at her jokes, no matter how hard she tries.  Evie would have a fairly twisted sense of humor... she would fit in in the darkest recesses of the Interwebz, lol.  Tess and Sadie are both fairly serious people, while Jennie is much more light-hearted.

And Kate... Kate is just a grouch.  A cynical, sarcastic grouch.  She never intentionally tries to be funny, but her misanthropy can be pretty hilarious at times.  She does have a sense of humor; it just tends to be pretty grim.  And yet, in my head-canon she is 100% destined to be with Joker.  It just works.

Kate has no patience for your nonsense, Bailey.

it also gives a blatant plug for femshep. :wizard:

Miranda: Shepard, you don't have time to mug for the camera. SHEPARD! You need to get moving!

Riza: Aww....

Hmph. Most of my Shep's "humor" sadly seems to be OOC deliberate assaults on the fourth wall. Oh well.
