Well, I'd never been able to get the "shot" command to work in ME2 (and I have no idea why), but thanks to the new Steam with ScreenShots function, I can finally take screenshots in ME2. I've also finally learned a bit of coalesced.ini hacking, so I can flycam, toggle the hud, and add the one casual uniform I wanted. Now, I need some advice.

I've posted shots from ME1 of Artemis Shepard earlier in the thread, but these are the first ME2 shots of her. I can't decide which hairstyle suits her better. The normal one which she carried over from ME1 (and which, I believe, is the default hair for a femShep):

Or somewhat "sexy" bangs hanging over the face look that you have to edit in using Gibbed:

I am exactly on the fence with this. I'm not exactly comfortable with the new hair yet, but I think that's more because I'm so used to the original hair, rather than the new hair actually looking bad. So, what say you, femShep fans? Any preference between the two? Any opinions are appreciated.
:)

[edit]
For comparison, this is what she looked like in ME1:

personally, I think that haircut is amazing and I'm on a fence myself about it, for Simone, my renegon. the major reason I'm still on a fence is the issue of importing her into ME3. I suppose it can be changed back before importing, but....

Original haircut makes Artemis look softer, more approachable. the spiky sexy cut makes her look more badass, IMO :) take your pick.

Yeah... it's a tough call. Oh well, either way, I have a save-file from before the change, and I have Gibbed, so I can always manually change it.

I gotta admit, though, the new hairstyle looked really good at Hock's party. B)

I think it depends on the character of the person in question, the neater style is more paragon since it makes Shepard look more cleaned up while the other is a bit more renegade since the hair is messy and all over the place, gives a certain intensity to the face.

Image IPB

Both are variants of that original mesh from ME1 so each one an equally valid choice, but with different connotations. At least that's how I look at them.

I see what you mean (and it fits absolutely perfectly on the femShep you posted).

Well, I haven't put too much thought into it personality-wise, but it is true that my femShep tends to be more renegade in ME2 than she was in ME1 (the only way I can get renegade points to import is by taking advantage of the glitch with Lorik Quin on Noveria; otherwise she never has more than ~20%), so having the more "renegade-ish" hairstyle is kind of fitting.

Ah well, it doesn't matter too much. The play through I'm doing now will not be the last before ME3 so I'll have plenty of time to try new/different things. ;)

@Interactive Civillian: I think she's got a bit more character with the modded hairstyle, but YMMV.

I agree with what adneate says about those two hairstyles. I had a paragon FemShep with the 'sexy' hairstyle for a while, but changed it back to the 'custom'. It suits her much better I think:

Hm. I have the ME2 savegame editor, so maybe I should cycle various Sheps through and try to see what happens.

The good thing is, black colour hides the low quality of hair texture.

This is way the hell off topic but it seems like the only way to get any damn responses on this forum is to post in an already active thread, so...<br />
I have been trying to find a ME1/2 pic to use as my desktop background. Specificly, one of the terminal / conputer UIs like are shown on the ones you cant use, or one of the loading screens with the Normandy from ME2. I see alot of talented fan art here, and also a TON of screenies.. so i was wondering if one of you could help me out. If you want to, send me a PM to keep down on the off topicness >.<<br />
On topic, i would love to post a few pics myself, but i play on Xbox and i dont have any way to take them.

Humm. . . .

Perhapse something like this suits Roxanna's favor. . . The best I can do 'gif' wise and keep it a reasonable size for downloading. . . . 1024-768px

Don't know what bugged me to set this one up. . . (and it took awhile to figure out what the uploading was screwing up.) It's slightly choppy due to the amount of frames I put into it, but again I had to keep it a reasonable size for loading.

Somedays that magic wand comes in handy! :wizard:

Edit: Ops forgot to post one of my favorite captures of the Normandy Jumping. . .

I always been a fan of the alternate hairstyles. Mainly because I cant mod the 360 and secondly it adds a much needed variety.    The amount of times this has been mentioned in this thread and out it you really hope Bioware has taken note!  ^_^

Oh and this is fantastic!!! :o     Do you have a larger version of it Aeowyn?? :)

That is also why another point of curiousity for me, is what happens to femshep after the Reapers are defeated.  What does the hero do when there's no battle left to fight?  Does she really settle in to living a 'normal life' again?  Or is there an entirely new set of struggles trying to live in the real world again.  Or does she go out of her way to find another "mission".  Oh the possibilities.  At least I'll have something to think about after ME3 comes out.

/thinks too much about these things.  But it's fun!

discuss.:D

Once the Reapers are defeated, Hrist is done. She's definitely retiring and settling down with Liara. She's never had a normal life, so it'll make a nice change from fighting to survive on the streets of Earth, and putting her life on the line everyday to help keep others safe during her Alliance and Spectre career.

What she'll be doing I don't know, but saving the galaxy's got to get you a serious retirement fund, hasn't it? I'll wait and see what happens in ME3 with Liara's position as the Shadow Broker, but I have a feeling that she'll step down once the Reapers are defeated and the two of them can then do whatever they want together. Whatever happens though they'll have at least one daughter named Ashley. (I'm not copying you, Sable, honest) I also see Hrist being a bit of a softy when it comes to her daughter and spoling her since she never knew her own parents.

Thanks for the comments :)

@Crash: Larger version :)

As for what Ivy was doing pre-ME1. She was running. Certain incidents caused her to leave the Reds and she spent years after that trying to see where she fits, as well as running away from vengeful members of the gang. Eventually, she stumbled across a System Alliance recruitment centre by accident and thought "why not?". She's been fighting for most of her life so why not use it for something good.

@Interactive Civilian - I prefer the orginal hair on Artemis.

I've done more than my share of experimenting as well.

Image IPB

The top two are Kate's cannon look, the longer hair for ME1 and the short hair for ME2 with the others being things I've tried out at various point in time.

I tend to get very attached to the way my characters look in game when I create them, especially when it comes to hair. In other games where you can adjust it, I'll fiddle around with different styles and colors, but I always end up returning it back to what I started with. So, for Alexis, I never even tried the other styles. Anything else just wouldn't strike me as her.

I actually wasn't that fond of the pixie look on Kate when I first created her character with it but I did a play through that way given that it's closest to how she looks in my fic. Now that style is what looks normal to me and anything else I find a bit odd on her.

I thought it would be worthwhile to complete the standardised biography for my secondary Shepard, Keira. Additionally, this post can also function as an attempt to prompt others to complete this profile, obviously providing that they haven't already done so. Again, I'd like to extend a special thanks to jlb for compiling such a wonderful and detailed series of blank profile fields. Appreciated!

***************************************************************
Intro stuff

Name:  Keira Shepard
Background:  Colonist/Sole Survivor
Alignment:  Paragade
class:  Sentinel
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities:  Tech Armor

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

ME1 Council:  Ordered the Fifth Fleet to defend the Destiny Ascension.
The Rachni:  Heeded Liara's advice, and released the Rachni Queen.
What happened on Feros?:  All Zhu's Hope colonists survived, and Shiala was spared. However, Ethan Jeong was executed.
Virmire:  Ashley Williams bravely sacrificed herself to stop Saren. Shepard managed to reason with Wrex, and talk him down.
Conrad Verner:  Keira, at that point quite exasperated with the unwanted attention, threatened Conrad by pointing a gun in his face.
Noveria:  Assisted Gianna Parasini in her investigation into Anoleis, and smirked as he was arrested.
Bring Down the Sky:  Kate Bowman and the rest of the hostages were a tragic casualty of Keira's desire to definitively end both Balak's schemes, and his life.
Anderson or Udina:  Donnel Udina was selected as human councilor.

ME2 and the Council:  Regained Spectre status, and remains on good terms with the Citadel Council.
The Collector Base:  Destroyed. The Illusive Man can go suck a lemon.
Suicide Mission casualties:  No One Left Behind. All squaddies loyal.
The Geth:  Destroyed the geth heretics.
Tali:  Keira successfully rallied the crowd, and caused the Admiralty Board to reconsider any attempt to exile Tali. Attempted to dissuade the quarians from any war with the geth.
Genophage cure data:  Kept the cure.
Overlord:  David was released.
Kasumi: Allowed her to keep Keiji's greybox.

Personal stuff

Romance:  Liara T'Soni. Forever faithful!
Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match:  Liara recognises the fact that, beyond the mask of emotional defiance and resilience, Keira is a woman that is tormented by guilt and grief. Liara sympathises with her lover's pain, and attempts to reassure and comfort her whenever possible. Keira appreciates Liara's quiet emotional strength, and her ability to powerfully assert herself. It is a personality trait that she admires.
Best Friends:  Keira will often struggle to develop genuinely close interpersonal relationships, and will subsequently appear cold and distant to those who are merely casually acquainted with her. Consequently, she can relate to Wrex to a certain extent.
Personality:  Keira is a woman who steadfastly refuses to tolerate the manipulation and exploitation of innocent people for selfish personal gain, and will often become blinded by tunnel vision in her desire to stop the individuals who engage in such behaviour. She also despises liars. Furthermore, after learning of Cerberus' responsibility for the massacre on Akuze, Keira is also developing an increasingly misanthropic streak. She also possesses many regrets, and is unsure if she will ever be truly at peace with them.
Three fun facts:  1) Has a small tattoo of a butterfly on her right shoulder blade. 2) Continues to mourn the death of her older brother to this very day, who was brutally murdered by batarian slavers whilst protecting his sister during the raid on Mindoir. 3) Is a keen fan of late 20th century electronica.
