Despite a half dozen playthroughs, I can never figure out where these expressions come from :(

A. "All right, who replaced my holo-screen saver with Vaenia?"
B. "Tell me you did not just call me your priiiiiize."
C. "You think Archer gave me some Triple-A map? Maybe you'd like to drive this @#$ing thing over the next lava river."
D. "What kind of look was that? You think these ordinance packs make my legs look fat, don't you?"

Question times!

Has ther ever been a time where you Femshep didn feel so hot? no like after Horizon or something cuz that's "canonized" but any other time?

Jennifer's 'not so hot' moment had to be when Miranda dropped the 'two years' bomb on the shuttle en route to meet TIM for the first time. Her first thought was her crew, and not just her LI Alenko, but everyone. She thought it'd been say a week...or two, a month at most, but two years was definitely not what she expected.

Horizon is a given of course...Also meeting Anderson for the first time, stonewalling her about Alenko, and the utter feeling of dispair that washed over her when she realized that nothing was going to be the same, and that she's no longer Alliance.

So yeah...

I think he did...I'm talking about the quite moment in the shuttle when they ask about wether Udina or Anderson were on the council and stuff...Shepard (depends on your choice)  says "Did you say two years?" to Miranda.
That part always broke my heart, especially with Jennifer Hale's amazing voice acting.

I found an interesting website that creates word clouds for websites. I tried to use its RSS feature to link to this thread to see what the most popular words that appear in this thread are. :)

Didnt work. :P  I think the RSS feeds here only work for forums and not individual threads.  If someone can get it to work it be really cool.

But anyway I copied the text off the last 50  "top-of-the-page" posts to give us an idea.  It probably would look similar.

Ahhhh can you feel my boredom today because DA2 hasnt arrived!!  ^_^
Image IPB

You can remove words like "wrote" because they appear as part of the quote function.  Oh and Aislinn is quite clearly the most quoted (lets say popular then) member! :D

But I thought it be interesting mainly to see what sort of themes appear the most for us. For example "armor" and "hair" appear quite frequently showing that they are big issues for us playing as femshep.

But take with caution because apparently "plastic" is an issue too. :P

That list looks just the way I imagined. But plastic? I don't think that I've seen that in this thread...

Hmm, interesting. I'm gonna say the word 'plastic' has popped up when talking about hair, since UE3 can't seem to do hair in any sort of realistic way and makes it look plastic.

@Element Zero: Nice looking background. However the colour difference between the ground and the nebula is a little jarring in my opinion. It takes the attention away from Lynn, who sould be the star of the show. =]

Still impressive though.

Slightly off topic: My copy of DA2 arrived today, but the internet overlords won't let me play it until midnight. Booooo! :(

Alright, well, you ought to remember this.  As I recall, it made Kyrie blush.  :P

I'd read your Kyrie fanfics before you first posted these pictures, and as soon as I saw them, they played out in my head as a little scenario where Garrus first realized he was in love with Kyrie:
Image IPB

"Garrus!"

Shepard's exclamation yanked the turian's attention across the walkway as if his chin were on a leash, just in time to see his commander finish a mnemonic and duck back behind her bulletproof glass barrier while enemy bullets frosted it with glistening spiderwebs. The asari vanguard that was attempting to flush Shepard out of cover yelped and sailed lazily into the air, arms flailing in a fruitless attempt to remain upright.

Garrus’ body responded to that single word instinctively: he had swung his rifle over the barrier at his right, sighted down on the merc’s center mass and sent a single round through her heart before Shepard’s biotic halo even had time to fade.

Image IPB

As the body dropped bonelessly behind her, Shepard glanced over, caught his gaze with her eyes, and flashed him a grin like the morning sun on the water of Neerum Lake on Palaven before darting back out of cover, arms reaching forward to trace the graceful outline of a singularity…

… leaving Garrus transfixed, staring at Kyrie’s waist as it arched above her rolling hips, tilting her backwards to lithe her away from enemy tracers behind a convenient shipping crate, the low-profile armor clinging as tightly to her curves as a turian’s plates…

“Vakarian!” Garrus' attention jerked back to the present with a snap; Miranda’s voice was ice water to Shepard’s warm contralto. The Cerberus operative threw herself into Shepard’s newly vacated bolthole with less than half the grace of its previous occupant, her omnitool flashing briefly as some merc’s shields probably vanished in an orgy of lightning somewhere. “Eyes on target!”

Dazedly, Garrus turned and propped his elbow on his forward cover. Spirits! he thought, head spinning, as his fingers told his rifle to kill the human merc foolishly standing up to fire a rocket launcher. With Shepard?!
@ Akari   Oh! normally I cut and crop an busy background down a bit. . . . to bring more focus to the foreground subject! But my creations typically serve as an desktop backdrop for a few days or so, at least until I come up with an new photo to make! Urz licking Lynn has been on my desktop for a bit less than a week! lol. . .

Edit: Now that I think of it. . . Urz licking Lynn has been on my desktop for only a few days, then it went to Bekenstein Views for a couple. . . !!!!

Some of them end up a desktop drop for only a few hours!  Yea I know crazyness I suppose. . . :P considering how much time I spend tweaking things. . .

Did  you try the mod to remove the ammo power icon ?

Sorry, I know this is off topic, but a lot of people see the Bonus Weapon as something you get late in the game. Depending on how you play it, is quite the opposite

Without bonus weapon

01)Freedom's Progress
02)Mordin's RM
03)Garrus's RM
04)Grunt's RM
05)Jack's RM
TIM calls Shepard and there's nothing she can do
06)Horizon gets triggered.

In order to trigger the DCS, you need to do exactly 5 missions, either dossiers, loyalties or N7s
The firwalker pack 5 missions. None of them involving ground combat, so the lack of bonus weapon is irrelevant.
TIM calls Shepard again. Again there's nothing she can do

With bonus weapon

07) Disabled Collector ship
08) Miranda's LM
09) Jacob's LM
10) Zaeed's LM
11) Kasumi's LM
12) Mordin's LM
13) Garrus's LM
14) Jack's LM
15) Grunt's LM
16) Samara's RM
16,17) Tali's RM and LM
18) Thane's RM
19) Overlord
20) ALL N7s missions, a bunch of them
21) IFF
22) Legion's LM
23) SM
24) LotSB<3

I wouldn't say it can't, i'd rather say BioWare didn't really try to come up with some new or improved hairstyles in ME2.

It certainly looked quite good in Bulletstorm imo.

I agree. I feel like sending them a team of hairdressers to help them come up with something for ME3.

Huh, stylists and coders. That ought to make for an interesting lunch hour...

I haven't tried. I don't really mind it; however before cut scenes I usually holster the gun to get rid of it. But it depends...

Heres a post I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the CC.  Still cant make up my mind if new hairstyles will be included in ME3. As my last point says we will be using the same models as 2007 in 2011/12 game if they dont add anything. Plus we all know this is one of our biggest gripes about femshep going into ME3. We really do want more variety!! All the hair mods show that!

I been pondering on how realistic an improved Character Creator would be for a while now and still cant come to a firm conclusion.  I can find evidence to support an improved CC screen, however the simple fact this is the final instalment in the trilogy also makes it redundant too. Logically if there was a time to add new styles and features it would have been during ME2.

It was always very apparent how popular the CC was and on the old boards there were dozens of threads being created about face creation and tweaking. The system they had never really worked effectively and the threads in there got big due to popularity, but also due to the fact the slider system was ineffective to convey sharing.

See here for example of how crazy trading sliders information got!

So as a result they redesigned it to include a facecode system in ME2. See Jesse's quote below. Note how he said it was a lot of work so they clearly invested a lot of time in it.  This coupled with the new facial scar system too leads me to believe that further developing plans were pulled.   I been trying to find an old thread where one of the devs actually asked for more feedback on the CC screen and what we would like.  This too me is further evidence of a more detailed and varied system was intended.

Image IPB

So its really a case now of how much time the Devs want to spend on ME3. It appears to me all the hardwork has been done during ME2 to improve the basis of the system.  Now its a case of if they want to just uprate the graphics or add new features that let us define our Shepard's more.

Personally I really want them to cater for a more variants in the creation screen.  We haven't even seen DA2 yet but seeing what is possible in the bits we have seen its certainly within their realms.

Additionally remember the styles we are using are still uprated designs from 2007.  ME3 is a 2011 Game!!!!  Seeing new stuff would be brilliant.

Really makes no sense that you aren't able to edit your imported character in the CC.

@ capt: yeah, i can see how if you have a deadline, making new hairstyles is not going to be super-high on your list of priorities. i do wish that they'd clean up and add in the NPC styles ("mom" "cyberbabe," etc) that many of us have already been hacking on. first, i'd would save the headache of loosing one's mods forever and also, the work for creating the mesh is done - it would just need a little high rez polishing.

but more new stuff is always nice, too.

I would hope so too. The fact that so many people clearly use those hairstyles (as evident from countless screenshots) suggests they should. After all the new Unreal Engine will be updated so they will have to go over existing textures to tweak them I assume. May as well make improvments while your there. But again its still a priority list they have to work through. I just hope its in that list.
