I just want the hair to not be helmet-hair, and having it clip on the visor is a big frustration for me. Someone on my flist said that the hair in DA2 actually MOVES, so if that's all they add to ME3 (in terms of hairstyles), I'll be a happy camper!

A very interesting mini-exposé. Goodwood notes and approves of the use of Liara T'Soni in the very last minute of the presentation...

Dex and pain threshold. They picked really bad examples of 'genetic' traits... never mind.

Also, the difference they make with societal things because they are 'maleable'... many genetic traits are maleable too. Obviously you can't grow an additional arm, but have any of you got braces? Think about men doing hair loss treatment. Laser treatment for short sightedness. Hair coloring!

I know this is nitpicking, but nearly everyone who talk about genetics spread the same misconceptions and I'm tired of hearing them again and again.

Extensive studies conducted by the various branches of the United States Armed Forces prove that, all else being equal, women are innately better at shooting and flying than men.

On the other hand, pain management is heavily tied to estrogen and enkephalin levels, meaning women's pain tolerance is cyclical and is highest during pregnancy and childbirth (which makes all kinds of sense). Studies have shown, though, that while there is no difference between the sexes when it comes to chronic pain, men actually seem to be, on average, able to better handle acute pain than women.

So there was some right and some wrong with that example.  Nevertheless the piece was very interesting and insightful and, for the most part, highly accurate, I thought.

I'm sorry, and I swear that I have no interest in derailing this thread, but you've been severely misinformed.

Well you will be pleased to know that Dragon Age Legends has not been working on solving the hair clipping for female characters!

Check out this smexy N7 gear. Complete with hair bun popping out the back!  Totally resembling ME2 to a tee! :P :pinched:

@Crash

I'd say the reason why I show up so big in the word cloud is because I practically live in this thread. I'm a sad individual... j/k ;-)

@Sable

I love that fic about Kyrie and Garrus. I believe I read it the first time it was posted.

"Don't let Aislinn leave the vidcave until she finishes a video." "Can she leave with us?" /Monty Python sketch.

Actually, I think that's great! I make ME fan videos so people can enjoy them. That is a big thumbs up from me. =-)

I'm quite excited to see FemShep's adventures continue. Hoping to hear something on Arrival, soon. It must be quite impressive, considering it got it's own insert. If it's anything near the quality of LotSB I'll be satisfied! Not to mention the new material I'll have to work with. ;-)

Well, we'll know at least a week beforehand when Arrival is coming...according to the Cerberus Daily News thingie on the main menu. Goodwood can hardly wait.

Interesting watch. They usually are.  They dont directly say Mass Effect but you can tell many points relate too it. When they show Liara at the end it sums it up really.

If they use the same engine version in ME3 than in PS3 ME2, I think there's no chance. Even KOTOR1 did much better and now in 2011 hair looks like crap...

God, I wish they could re-release KotOR. I'd pay good money to play it in HD on the 360.

( Yes I know I can play my old Xbox version on the 360, or my old PC copy, but it just doesn't feel the same any more - time to admit it, i've become an achievement junkie. )

I would hope so too. The fact that so many people clearly use those hairstyles (as evident from countless screenshots) suggests they should. After all the new Unreal Engine will be updated so they will have to go over existing textures to tweak them I assume. May as well make improvments while your there. But again its still a priority list they have to work through. I just hope its in that list.

It'd make sense, though. They updated them from ME1 to ME2, after all. Although I'm honestly not expecting any major changes. But it would be nice...

And here's a random pic of Alessia Shepard (Paragon, Adept)

Question times!

Has ther ever been a time where you Femshep didn feel so hot? no like after Horizon or something cuz that's "canonized" but any other time?

There are a few times that come to mind for Madeline:

1) The death of her Grandfather, (Ret.)Adml. Ewen R. Shepard (Feb-4-2061 - Oct-3-2168) when she was 14. She was very close to him and was devistated by his death.

2) The recovery and burial of her parents remains (Anthony F. and Hannah R. Shepard). In 2172, the Alliance Department of Colonial Affairs and the Mindoir Colony Board of Directors began the grusome task of identifing the remains of 337 victims from the massacre that had been found in a mass grave and had been previously listed as missing. The process was long and difficult and in July of 2182, two of the last 5 remains were positively Identified as those of Madeline's parents Anthony F. and Hannah R. Shepard.

Maddy was on shore leave when notified and arranged to esscort her parents bodies back to earth aboard the SSV Kitty Hawk (Registry No. SR NC-2097). She had watched them both die, but recovering them and laying them to rest was just as hard if not harder.  Even harder was the fact that the body of her older brother Morgan James Shepard was not among the 337 undentified remains or the 138 previously recovered victims buried in 2172. To this day, it has never been found and is the only victim listed as "Missing"

I actually have to finish my femRevan playthrough... I'm almost finished (some might guess the place in the gif).

Finally!
