@Akari: with Infiltrators, starting at lvl 5 helps max out the class skill, which makes the sniper shots easier.

Though you might have a point with other classes, though I think Adepts maxing out Singularity early on might make things easier for them as well. Haven't tested it yet.

@ tup: heck yeah. braids are the go-to style for keeping your hair back. i don't think kyrie could french braid to save her life, but i image other sheps could manage that. hey, if they gave shep a beehive, why not something that requires less pins?
re: DA2 - sooo tempted to get it. but i need to finish my adept guides before i let myself get distracted with yet another project. saving/uploading the next one now. will post in a few hours.

Going through yet another round of ME1 with Aki - I only need a tissue-thin excuse to replay that, and this time it's getting my Aki-with-an-improved-nose up to 60 and through all the paragon persuades I want to take forward into ME2. Of course you do realise you'd be level five after Freedom's Progress with a level 50+ character import?

I'm not telling you how to play your game though. After all, I've played both games more times than I can remember. I would be the world's biggest hypocrite for saying someone's playing too much Mass Effect.

hmmm.... good to know. i was thinking of waiting until the price dropped anyhow, since i won't get any nice pre-release dlc at this point anyway.

I said this elsewhere and wil say it here. DA2 is a good game but a better game if you pretend DA:O doesn't exist. If graphics bother you at all. You will cringe at some of the character models (Hello Merril.) Storywise, it seems to follow the ME2 standard to some extent; half-ass the main plot and focus on the characters. YMMV but it seems arguably weaker in both.

 hmmm... thanks for the heads up on da2 guys. i don't want spoilers, but a few words of review are welcome. i didn't care much for da:o, so i think my expectations will not be dashed in this case.

BUT as that's getting off topic:

My next adept guide video is up. This one is about Bonus Powers for the Adept (i.e., bonus powers most often taken by adepts).



My own dear barrier is the last on the list, since I love it and reserve the right to give it a little bit of denfense as I see a lot of smack talked about that skill. But I did my best to give a clear picture of the other skills as well, since playing around with them made me respect them much more.

So yeah, enjoy. It's really fun to make a class guide starring femshep and showing that we girls like to game on insanity. thanks for letting me continue to share these with you all.

Actually, I think the forum died. That's worse than a thread dying.

It was inaccessible for awhile, then there weren't any updates and then it went down for a bit later on and now it's back. Eeek.

Finished first Kylie run. Had to do some adjustments when I started the 2nd run. Ever had the modded BioInput file get somehow overwritten? Luckily I only have three lines changed for the flycam, HUD toggle and 3x3 screenshots. Now I'm keeping a backup of my modded files too. Hmph. Always remembered to do that with Civ4, both original and my own mods.



Back to altering the timeline and making Kylie's "canon" run.

Another good video, Sage. I'd certainly agree with you that Barrier is not useless on Insanity. Being able to get off a few more shots or having extra damage protection to run to a new piece of cover is definitely handy.

Stasis is still my favourite though, and it's also Hrist's canon bonus power. But I have a new appreciation for Barrier thanks to your guide.
