@Sage

I remember the very first time I played ME2 with Holly, I was totally raging at the Council during that scene. It was fantastic. I love when scenes in a game evoke that sort of emotional response in me. Had to walk away from the PC for a moment and think about what my FemShep would do in that situation. She'd be incredibly angry, but having access to SPECTRE resources was too much of an advantage... so she played nice. You better believe there was a long string of curse words after she walked out of that office, though.

Top-o-the-page Holly.

As Tank Girl would say, "pa-pa-pa-pow!"

oh yes. that was definitely a "swallow your pride" moment for kyrie, too. she was the shep that came closest to telling them to shove it. <--and that's why i love kyrie.

found this random pic of her that i just have to share:

Intro stuff

Name: Kiera Shepard
Background: Spacer, Ruthless
Alignment: Balanced, Slightly more Renegade
class: Infiltrator
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Tactical Cloak

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

ME1 Council: Let 'em die
The Rachni: Saved
What happened on Feros?: Asari spared, Colonists saved
Virmire: Wrex alive, Kaiden dead.
Conrad Verner: Really ticked her off. She hates fans.
Noveria: All saved
Bring Down the Sky: ...................................
Anderson or Udina: Anderson

ME2 and the Council: Council dead in ME1
The Collector Base: Widow sniper rifle
Suicide Mission casualties: None
The Geth: Recruited and Loyal
Tali: Alive and Loyal
Genophage cure data: Kept
Overlord: not played
Kasumi: not played

Personal stuff

Romance: Garrus ME2, None in ME1

Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match:
Kiera's parents planned for her to be in the military from a
young age. She originally joined simply because she had to. But as she climbed the ranks, she began to see that although her parents had wanted her in the military for the wrong reasons, she could still do things her way. She began a plan to make a difference. Garrus and Kiera are a great match because Garrus also wants to make a difference in the world. But, he's more lighthearted. He balances her, keeps her grounded, and keeps her calm. She need someone like that, someone who can understand what she's been through.

Best Friends:
Miranda (close due to the shared "insensitive overbearing father" thing
Garrus (friend turned romantic interest)

Personality:
Aloof, stuck up, has a wild temper, and can be very manipulative in a charming, polite way. She knows about fighting, as she grew up on military ships and was practically bred to be a soldier. She knows what she wants, and she absolutely will step on people to get there. However, she isn't evil. What she wants is to make an impact and change the world. She does care about her squad mates and will go out of her way for them, though it's sometimes unclear whether this is simply to gain their loyalty or not. She is lonely, though, and resents her childhood and her upbringing to be a soldier. She views what she is doing as "making the most of it". She hates her father (think Illusive Man type of guy) and as a result, has a rebellious streak, almost like she's rebelling against everyone else because she never could against her father. Overall, she is strong and silent, not letting many people close, but once she does make a bond, it stays for life.

Three fun facts:
1) Went deaf at age 6. She now has cybernetic implants to counteract this. Keeps this very, very secret.
2) Hates to lose. Very protective of her dignified air, and will allow no one to break it down.
3) She was actually a character in a story I wrote. I just used her for Mass Effect for fun.

Intro stuff

Name: Reia Shepard
Background: Earthborn, Sole Survivor
Alignment: Paragon, with some Renegade
class: Vanguard
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Slam

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

ME1 Council: Dead
The Rachni: Saved
What happened on Feros?: Asari killed
Virmire: Ashley dead, Wrex dead
Conrad Verner: Alive
Noveria: All saved
Bring Down the Sky: ...................................
Anderson or Udina: Udina

ME2 and the Council: Dead in ME1
The Collector Base: Widow sniper rifle
Suicide Mission casualties: None
The Geth: Recruited and Loyal
Tali: Alive, Recruited, and Loyal
Genophage cure data: Kept
Overlord: not played
Kasumi: not played

Personal stuff

Romance: Thane, Kaidan in ME1

Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match:
Reia has a motherly streak. She's caring and strong, but also open. She understands people, and loves children. She know what she is fighting for though. She wants to keep people safe. She's seen pain, though, and her whole squad died on Akuze, many of whom she was very close to. She keeps a smile on her face, though. She connects with Thane, understands him, and he her. She understands what it's like to be full of love and compassion, and want a family, but also to know fighting, and suffering and terrible pain. They keep each other going, despite all the tough roads ahead.

Best Friends:
Thane
Kaidan (well, not anymore)

Personality:
Kind, motherly, caring, but also daring and ambitious. She has a strong moral compass, and hates crime and cheating, but she's willing to work with criminals if she needs to, or if they have something she needs. Undercover work is a specialty of hers. Overall, she sees the big picture and wants to help people of all races. Idealistic, but also practical.

Three fun facts:
1) Has an adopted daughter back home being cared for by her parents while she's away, named Cosette.
2) She has a unique, experimental biotic implant. It's highly advanced but comes with some nasty side effects.
3) She is a character from the same story as Kiera.

...................................

Pictures coming soon. :) ME2 is crashed from a bad mod right now...haven't reinstalled yet. Data's safe, though, so all is well.

Well ladies and gentlemen, one Shepard question for you...

one moment when your Shepard felt like screaming...and I mean pissed off, frustrated I need to nuke something kind of screaming...

hmm....I'd say during the normandy's lockdown for Kallen, none of my other Shepard's are as developed as she is, so she's all I 've got. She let Liara/Ashley bear the brunt of her loud screaming rants until she felt better and then they went to go kill Saren.Image IPB

Sorry Legend...didn't see you there

BUT YAY FOR AWESOME MALE FEMSHEP SUPPORT!:o  *huggles*

Well, I'm hardly a gentleman... and I'll restrain the urge to cry for your lack of inclusiveness.  ;)

(Actually, in RL I tend to be quiet to the point where I scare people when I speak up. )

Hm. Of the characters I've created...

Riza was close to that point after the Normandy was locked down, but Kaidan was there so she calmed down. Haven't gotten her to ME2 so I don't know how that will pan out. Horizon will probably not be... calming.

Kylie.... "it was supposed to be just another slave grab" is not the thing to say to a Colonist/Sole Survivor. Ironically, her need to clamp down on that rage probably spared Balak.

Holly didn't like that comment, either. Those batarians ended up quite dead. It was one of those few moments she let emotions take over. It's a rarity for her, but it happens.

Speaking of batarians, the CDN today is talking about how some ex-special forces out of Khar'Shan busted into some office and stole Dr. Kenson's research. More evidence that FemShep will most likely be heading into batarian space come Arrival.

(Or at least dealing with agents of their government)

Could also be some radical group like Cerberus, though.  Ya never know.  :P

I've seen all the CDN's and yeah, it's on. Kallen's getting her old Torfan gear cuz she's going Batarian hunting.

Kallen: "You Mother F*ckers didn't learn the last time did you?! *blizzard of bullets*"
Grunt: Lawson, I'm scared! T^T
Miranda: Me too Grunt....and I sleep with her. T^T

I read that as well. If Arrival has any Batarians in it.....let me just say that Lili won't be forgiving....

Lili: Time to die, mother****ers! *biotcs everywhere and thermal clips being ejected from the Mattock*
Kasumi: I've never seen her do that. God, this  is....scary.
Garrus: You thnk so, huh? I've never seen a thing like it either. *Batarian flies by*
Kasumi: Remind me never to get on her bad side.
Garrus: Okay, now this is getting really scary.
Kasumi: 0_o Ouch, that had to hurt.

haha, Miranda and Grunt are now officially a crack pairing! XD

For me, Kiera felt like screaming a lot (temper issues, maybe ;) ) But mainly when she first met the Illusive Man. He reminds her way too much of her father. Just another person trying to use her. Plus a little fear and embarrassment that Cerberus now likely knows about the cybernetic implants she had before her death, for her hearing. And confusion. Basically with Kiera emotion=stab something. ME1: Conrad Verner. She is in the military to make a difference, and there is nothing glamorous about killing people. She hates people like him who think the military is all medals and heroics.

Reia is a little more mellow. But when she realized that after everything she'd done for the Citadel, the Alliance, and mankind, the military and the council abandoned her. This sort of...disillusioned her about the Alliance, which she was so loyal to before. This made her want to believe that Cerberus was good even more. In the end, she ends up saving the Collector data about the humanoid reaper mainly because of this moment. Reia can lead, but she needs someone to point her to a destination. She's not a dreamer, just an achiever.

Keira sounds really swesome.  Mainly because these decisions are virtually exactly the same as one of my Sheps!  :)  Great minds think alike!

Ok so whats the likelyhood we we have a rage cliffhanger at the end of arrival?  Arghh my imagination is in overdrive over that DLC at the moment!!  Could be anything.

agreed. this gets the batarians dead. i think kyrie killed that one. or no, wait, she reigned in her temper. balak, however, didn't get away. duty first - then shoot him for good measure. i love that mission. i think that was one moment where i really felt shep come into her own as a character. kaidan was at her back, so she really had this uncomfotable worry about how he'd view her actions and it was very strange for her to think like that.

@ lord zeus: may i just say that i LOVE the characterization of the council and i LOVE the choices for how to handle them? they're just such a bunch of politicians being more concerned about their polls than they are about facing ugly facts. hale's delivery and the animations for femshep there are awesome. as much as i want to kick them, i adore that part.

*picsnip*

(and yes, i fully feel like i'm NOT the target audience of ME when i admit that i live for scenes like that, rather than whatever shep-are-killing-aliens-with-his-teeth or miri butt shot moment i'm supposed to be going for.)

some parts of ME2 border into silly comic-book hyperbole, but that scene is so dang realistic, it's scary. it helps that i always head to the citadel FIRST, hoping each time that maybe, just maybe, i don't have to work with tIM and the gang this time.

Sorry for late reply.

I do agree, that probably was some of the best characterization in the game; the Council are very much politicians, with the attention spans of politicians and the weird, unfathomable priorities of politicians. Cara has a history with politicians (it took some maneuvering to get her out of prison), but she expected that at the very least the fairly universal self-preservation instinct would have warranted action of *some* kind from the Council races. And she expected a heck of a lot more from Udina, who suddenly seems so concerned with maintaining the status quo.

(I promise to have a screenshot of Cara *some* day, hopefully soon.)

ME2 is plenty comic booky, what with all the superhero squadmates and such, but it's not all bad.;)

I like the way your romance develops over the years in DA2 right up to sharing a moment before the final batte. Hope to see something similar in ME3. In other words: I want to see more progress in a relationship than just having new toys to play with again. The Liara one was also more like a renewal rather than a real progress. Not that i wasn't happy to see them reunited again, but i guess that's the problem when you're "dead" for two years.

My heart actually sank when that happened. I abstained from all spoilers before I played ME2, so I had no idea what was going to happen.

The only drawback to a femshep is that you can't do my favorite scene in ME1 where shep invites both Ashley and Liara to an implied menage a trois-- combined with the look on manshep's face, it's GOLD. A parallel kind of thing with a femshep and two male LI's wouldn't go over too well...
