How about you get a little less insecure and actually try playing a FemShep!? You might like it!!!

Hehehe, this makes so much no sense. Insecure, me? Hehehe... nope.

I've actually tried playing femShep 3 times. I got bored after 2 or 3 hours every single time I tried to start a game as a female Shepard. I like game-chicks and female action heroes, but I just don't like femShep. I'm not anti-femShep, I don't hate her, she's just boring to me. It might have something to do with the fact that I played manShep the first 6 times that I played Mass Effect (I tried every class once). My first 2 manSheps where customs, the 4 other manShep playthroughs where all Sheploo. After those 6 playthroughs I thought: "Hmmm this game has the option to play as a female too right? Let me give that a shot." And so I tried, and I didn't like it. I grew used to Shepard being Sheploo (after playing as him 4 times in a row). So after a few failed attempts at completing a playthrough with femShep, I went back to good old fashioned Sheploo.

So now I only play Sheploo and I like it that way. All the trailers, teasers and official footage from Mass Effect, all of them have Sheploo as Commander Shepard. Because I always play Sheploo myself. I can watch all the trailers, teasers and everything else from Mass Effect 1, 2 and soon 3 without actually thinking "that's not my Shepard" (like most people, especially femShep players seem to think when they watch official teasers and trailers).

Thats ok man,  not every one can like her...  although we may think your weird, since you are saying you dont like her in a fan thread.  :P

However were the opposite,  I played vanderloo on my first play through on mass effect.  Then played mass effect again with femshep and it was an entire different game.  In fact it was a bash my head against the wall why didnt I do this the first time round second play through!

So much so that I actually got a tear or two in my eyes when she crawled out the wreckage on the citadel tower after killing sovereign.    Shes so awesome!

Yeah enough said really

OMG, I can't believe "Luc0s" is still at it, this guy was vociferously deriding FemShep in several threads 6 months ago as well. He obviously has "issues".

LOL I did? Then you know more then I do because the only places where I ever talked about femShep is here and just 1 post in the manShep thread. You're clearly highly exaggerating.

I try not to troll (or really keep it to minimum) and I'm actually keeping it civil (no swearing and no direct attacks to anyone).

I'm just having a discussion with people, isn't that allowed in here? And so far no-one as asked me to leave this thread. If one would ask me to stop or go away I wouldn't even have a problem with it. I would just go away. You're the one with the issues here for taking this so damn serious.

Yeah, I know I'm weird, I don't care. ;) But hey I'm trying to keep it civil and respectful. I'm not into starting a flame-war. So if you think I should just go away, then just say so and I will, no hard feelings.

Anyway, I've also seen plenty of femShep players in the manShep thread. I don't see how that should be a problem as long as we stay civil and respectful, right? But the manShep thread is kinda dying me thinks. We're obviously not as "hardcore" as the femShep fanbase. :P

Lucos as long as you dont try to antagonise us your welcome to stay. We dont have a Bioware symbol under our thread telling people to chill out. We dont ever want one.   You know its futile saying how much better vanderloo is in a femshep thread and you know its going to cause a reaction.   Just dont do it man.

Other then that peace out

I don't see any reason to antagonize anyone. That would be a bit extreme wouldn't it?

I'm actually curious about one thing. What do you femShep players think about male action heroes who're more like manShep? Game heroes such as Marcus and his buddy Dominic in Gears of War, or Splintercell with our good old Sam Fisher. Or God of War with our big friend Kratos. Or Agent 47 from good old Hitman?

Okay, ofcourse all the examples that I gave are not a lot like manShep, but you get the general idea me thinks. :)

I find them boring. I'll take a curvy biotic who has to use charm and wits to assemble a team and figure out how to lead them over pure muscle any day.

Im good with Sam Fisher, Archer and Kestral. Dont care about the Gears guys much. Never played Hitman. In fact Id probably be able to start a maleshep if he had the Sam VO.

I assume you either play Adept then? ;)

I'm all into the Vanguard and Soldier. I'm rather an indestructable tank or high DPSer than a cowardly sniper or spellcaster or something similar. In Mass Effect my "canon" is a Vanguard. in Dragon Age my "canon" is a dual-wielding Warrior. I guess that says enough about me.

I think Admiral Hackett from ME1 has a charming voice. If the same voice-actor did manShep he would be even cooler than he is now.

@LucOs

just fyi... the reason I said "insecure" is b/c you said previously you always play dudeshep. I assumed you hadn't tried femshep. (BTW, I play DudeShep first for my Ash romance before I switch over to FemShep for my other playthroughs). But you assumed we're all teenage boys wanting to do our characters. So there was assuming on both sides, why not just call it even?

As to your latest question, I like Marcus... hate Dom. Sam Fisher is bad ass. Never played God of War or Hitman.

however, female assassins (like hitman) are extremely awesome IMO. There is supposed to be female COG soldiers in GoW3, so that will be awesome as well. Like I've said before, women who are strong and confident, know how to kick ass and look good doing it are my favorite. :)

For laughs! Plus Maleshep isnt as Kirky as he would like to think :P

I think Meer is flat as paragon shep. I like him better in his minor roles for ME2. Even in DA he's more lively and emoting better. But enough about ManShep, back to femShep goodness.

If I ever had any desire to do the Thane stuff, this would be the result. :P

No I really didn't. I said from the beginning that I realize that not all femShep players are typical teenage boys, but some are. Just like about any cult or group has a few wacko's. It's just that the whole "I'd do my own femShep"-thing kinda creeped me out. But sure, no hard feelings. Lets call it even.

Disregarding the whole action hero bit...there are a fair few male characters I'm quite fond of. Some I even love.
Heard of George Stobbart?
If it wasn't in conflict with all that nature dictates; I would bear that man's children.

Samus Aran, even though she's in her suit 90% of the time and hardly as any voice-acting, still is one of my favorite female game-heroes in my opinion. Maybe because I kinda crew up with Nintendo and Metroid. Samus Aran is also voiced by Jennifer Hale by the way.

Monkey Island right? Yeah, I know a lot of chicks who really are into him.

Anyway, I don't think this is the place to talk about game heroes. Maybe I should make a topic about this somewhere on the forum.

Edit: I mixed up the dude from Monkey Island with George from Broken Swords. My bad.

as for Male Hero Characters if anyone has ever watched an anime called "code geass" I think the main Character Lelocuh would make a great final boss since he was like a Renegade Femshep occasionally killing a NPC to make his plans go the way he wanted or to make the world better. I'd like to see femshep save the Galaxy from him.....xD

Don't really care about Marcus and Dom. I like Sam Fisher since he's a badass Papa Wolf and voiced by Michael Ironside, I like Kestrel and Archer as well since their pretty cool. Never played God of War. I also like 47 due him being a stoic assassin and voiced by David Bateson and also that he only cussed once.

Samara and Shepard Plan by Badspot

Alright, people. I did not create this thread to discuss your favorite male action heroes or to talk about Sheploo. This is not his fan thread. This fan thread was created to discuss ways of implementing more FemShep recognition, her role, and her voice actress. Try to keep it on topic of her. I know it's inevitable to compare MaleShep vs FemShep but please keep it civil.

Thank you. ;)
