@Khaos: Oh. Some of the armor uniforms remind me of the "spy catsuit" Emma Peel wore in a TV show from the 60s called The Avengers. She was played by an actress named Diana Rigg. Looked like Cat was wearing something like that.

Hm. ToP again...

@Sable That is one of the most powerful scenes in video game history for me, so full of emotion. Mass Effect is the first ever game to make me so emotionally invested in my characters and their relationships that I actually tear up and have to fight them back sometimes! I am so sad.

@Si  Ahhh I know of the Avengers, but, hadn't ever watched it myself. I don't watch TV much and haven't for much of my life. My only weakness is Anime and good sci-fi hehe.

It's actually Morinth's outfit I believe, which is different than Kyrie's but, from the shoulders up was pretty similar. I wear it while walking around on the normandy.

@Influ
I know how to do all that stuff in ME2, I got that covered.  In fact, that's quite evident in a great deal of my videos.  ;)

ME1 flycam is a bit trickier, because you have to modify the .ini files and commands are not always the same. You'd have to set up the controls to work during cinematics, which I do not know how to do.  datSilencer figured it out, though, apparently. I've pretty much got everything else covered.  Slow motion, even moving with Flycam active (which you can see in my Noir vid), etc.   Just the cinematic thing and freezing in ME1 escapes me.

You can freeze everything in ME1, using StasisAll, but it's irreversable.  Not like PlayerOnly in ME2.

@Sable

That is so lovely.  :crying:

@TheMarshal

Though I'm a big fan of Liara, I think the romance that really gets me the most on an emotional level is Thane.  My canon FemShep, Holly, is with him.  The dialogue throughout the whole thing is just so wonderful.  I feel like they have a very strong connection, on so many levels.  I'm a bit nervous to see how it all plays out in ME3.  And that letter in LotSB in his dossier just makes me go...

@Aislinn I wish I had even an ounce of your vid making skills. I only just the other day learned how to take a screen shot in ME2! So I am making up for it now I guess :) Wish I could have made a vid of Cathryne taking out the Colossus and the four geth troopers that were there with it all by her lonesome on Insanity, that was a wicked fight! Vanguard charge for the win!

@Aislinn: Oh you were talking about ME1. Silly me. Well hopefully that helps someone so it wouldn't have been a complete waste and just a massive fail.

@Khaos

When I first started out I had no idea how to mod ME2, or use Flycam and barely knew how to capture/video edit (which was about 6 months ago). It's all about keeping at it, I think! That and great community members who help out. Like Sage's awesome blogs, ELE giving me modding advice... all those amazing people that hang out here.

Not to mention I always feel encouraged and feel this thread has the best atmosphere on the BSN.

@Influ

It's all good!  And I'm sure there are lots of people that find that advice helpful!  :lol:

I'll get around to picking up Fraps /after/ I figure out how to be good with the Flycam... or actually mod the Flycam to be working. I wish the custom armors wouldn't go away, certain cutscenes start immediately after a load, in which case the armor is like I just woke up and put it on...

On another note:

But how would you feel if you thought somebody (you loved) was dead and after two years he/she just appears out of nowhere again?

I'd at least give them a chance to explain and hear them out. I wouldn't do the mental equivalent of covering my ears and saying LALALALALAICAN'THEARYOU at the mention of Cerberus. I'd at least give the benefit of the doubt to the person I loved and trusted and listen to what they have to say.

Bioware really dropped the ball in scripting that scene.

Yep - sure agree with that. One of those places where you are feeling pretty immersed in the story, then you run into a brick wall. "Wait - did you REALLY just get so pi$$y that you took two steps back and said 'You work for Cerberus now?'" How... realistic.

One of the things that makes me absolutely LOVE the "Lair of the Shadow Broker" DLC is the chance for my Shepard to finally vent about those things in game in her own voice. It was so nice to hear her actually get to say the things I'd been thinking for so much of the game. The following screen isn't exactly that scene, but the look on Athene's (neé Artemis) face in this shot kind of captures the feeling I think:

"I'm tired. Tired of dealing with Cerberus. Tired of the Council ignoring me. Tired of my own friends not believing me."

:crying:

(I just realized that I never let my femSheps wear a visor when dealing with Liara... don't want to get in the way of the kisses :D )

They don't take the helmet off, it's really a shame! Poor Liara... and poor Shep! Whoever invented suits with non-detachable helmets needs to die in a fire.

Really nice skald,  that would probably take me alot lot longer to do ^_^ :happy:

I think I need a few more plugins to be honest, but im still getting used tto the ones I have :)  Anyway really good work and I think the lighting works great.

SkaldFish wrote...

...a little quick-and-dirty composite. Came across the shot of Rhea while cleaning out my SS folder (from back when I was playing around with different hair mesh options), and the red shift made me think of the nice final shot from the opening sequence. The lighting's not quite right, but overall not too bad for 30 minutes with Paint.Net...

Sinapus I don't think I've said this before but I love your Shep, feels like my friend's mom went out and started kicking ass and saving the universe. Very unique :)

It's a projection from the private terminal right before the model ships.
