Here's my review if anyone is interested.

SPOILERS GALORE

I agree w/ the "lack of emotion" mantra that has been going on in here.  This "one size fits all" Shepard is for the birds.  That said, the debriefing dialogue fit UJ almost perfectly.  She typically doesn't wear her emotions on her sleeve.  She's a very passionate paragon, but knows that there is a time and place for everything.  I feel the same way as Aislinn. I'm afraid for UJ and wished there had been a scene later in her cabin where it all finally hits her.  What she has done, what might happen to her and fearful of what other sacrifices she will have to make. I do hope BW allows us to develop Shepard (whether paragon or renegade) further as a character and have her at least reflect on this decision.
Image IPB
"There just wasn't enough time."

I also played as Erica, my renegade.  There really wasn't much difference in the mission, but I wish there had been a bigger difference for her in the debriefing.  Erica is probably even more pro Alliance than UJ and their betrayal (not acknowledging the Reapers) cuts much deeper.
Image IPB
"Hackett's friend or not, you die if -- hell, you just die."

femShep specific: With what little dialogue there was, Jennifer Hale did an outstanding job.  I dare say that w/ one small line, she made femShep just a tad vulnerable.  When Hackett first starts talking about the trial, she says "What are you talking about?" in a way that adds just a touch of dread.

So, I'm totally going to go play through again with Moira. Be back with screenies! XD

And the events of this DLC are going to fit in perfectly with one of my future video ideas.

Yay more renegade goodness!!!

Re: unemotional

I just maintain that it was Shep was being strong in the face of one of her former (current?) superiors. I can guarantee most people's Shep's did what Asilinn's did after Hackett Left. Kallen threw a party actually for breaking her high score on "Kill all Batarians" That and had to deal with Miranda's "I was so worried about you!" speech for being gone for 2 days.

Is there actually post-Arrival conversations with the squad? Goodwood highly doubts this, but would love confirmation...

...great, I'm going to have to either take my only FemShep (only Shepard, actually) I've gotten past Horizon and play this Friday or wait a few weeks after finishing my ME1 runs to play and make my own decision about this. Decisions, decisions...

The lack of emotion during the mission wasn't odd for Myddine. It was the debrief with Hackett that seriously annoyed me. The guy has the nerve to come on board your ship and criticize you and go off about some ridiculous trial, and you have to treat him with deference and respect. I lost a lot of respect for Hackett in this DLC. I thought given the chance to talk in private as opposed to through comms on the bridge he'd be straight with me. If that's the real him, ugh. No apology for almost getting me killed. No congratulations for stopping the reapers.

And the trial, really? For saving the galaxy? Myddine would blow a goddamn fuse. Try to avoid going to the damn thing altogether. Of course the DLC conveniently puts Object Rho on the asteroid they wanted to slam into the relay so of course there still is no definitive proof of the Reaper invasion (because of course you have to keep the Collector base secret from everyone but TIM) so of course this sham trial will be more dramatic than it by all rights should be.

The trial is a waste of Myddine's time and she and I are pissed that you will have no choice but to engage in such a mockery of justice in ME3. 300k Batarian lives is a joke. They would have died regardless, and many more. I'm going to be in a courtroom full of people who will only be alive thanks to me, and they're not going to show any respect at all.

Moira doing what she does best:

As for Moira's reaction:

She's extremely pissed off and thinks destroying the relay was a necessary sacrifice.  She could care less about the trial or the implications behind it.  As Aimless said about their Shep, she thinks it's a farce and a waste of time.

Goodwood is hoping that our Sheps will be able to bring in members of the squad to testify on her behalf in the trial, as character witnesses. Samara in particular seems to know about indoctrination devices; Tali certainly remembers them, as does Jacob and the VS. Hell, even Grunt was able to make the connection between husk technology and the Reapers.

@Metal

You're quick. :P I'm going to do one, too... but I think I'm going to give it my own flavor. I find the original to be a bit too bland.  I need to get my hands on the music, first, though.

I agree, but I have a feeling that Shep shows up for the trial and the Reapers are already there. Hence, the ME3 trailer (might just be me, though) If not, well that'd be cool.

Good Work, MDK.

Logically, the Batarians would want Shepard to be extradited so they could execute her themselves. The Alliance would want a show trial to help ease the tensions between humans and Batarians while still "taking care of their own." It's doubtful they would want to execute her themselves, but she would never see the light of day again. The Council, if they didn't want her dead themselves, would serve Shepard up to the Batarians on a silver platter. Hope the Reapers show up soon.

I imagine that Shepard's trial will cover more than just the incidents in Arrival, given her known affiliation with Cerberus. Potentially they could also bring up the death of Tela Vasir during the questioning.

Judge: List the charges against Commander Shepard.
*prosecutor drops a huge stack of paper on the table and it creaks under the strain*
Prosecutor: Volume One...

ETA: If this unlocks after Horizon, I find that confusing. I'll probably just play it after the Suicide Mission anyway, since that makes more sense.

Harbinger: YOU HAVE FAILED. WE WILL FIND ANOTHER WAY. RELEASING CONTROL.
*After Arrival*
Harbinger: ...TIME FOR PLAN C.

And I'm rather uncertain about the Batarians. It's just how they've been set up for the past few years as the scum of the universe.

Maybe they just are. :P

But try to imagine their reaction if a human warns them about the destruction of a Mass Relay that kills a whole system and a batarian colony... done by humans. Would they believe it? Or would they try to stop you with everything they got and make things even worse?

Perfect. ^_^

Sinapus wrote...

Harbinger: ...TIME FOR PLAN C.

I'd say this was already Plan C. Or even D.

They tried to activate the Keepers. They failed.
They tried to open the Citadel relay with Saren and Sovereign. They failed.
They tried to build a human reaper. What for? Maybe to try to open the Citadel relay again. They failed.

So, i'd say the Alpha Relay, which is really on the outskirts of the galaxy, was just some kind of emergency plan for them.

Anyone else thinks Shepard made humans an even higher priority target by speaking with Harbinger? Not only is Shep annoying them, she says that humans will fight whatever might come. And so far they were quite successful doing that. This is the first time the Reapers couldn't easily activate the Citadel relay to start what they always do.

Since ME1 humanity have been the high priority but the chat with Harbringer made it worse. Shepard clarified that humanity will fight whatever might come and annoyed Harbringer even further.. Humanity got to watch its back when the Reapers arrives.. for now humans're the highest priority
