Thx. And you know, that's not a bad idea. Very... Masamune Shirow-like. Flying robots which do hacking/inject sedatives/does other weird things remotely for you :P

Im going to be honest ME2 just hasnt gripped me in the same way ME1 did.   The first game I have about 12 plays going.  About 7 complete plays and three level 60 Characters.   I love ME1 and really want to do another play again soon.

Heh. I hear that. I have two play throughs going simultaneously right now. One is with Athene, a vanguard who has completed one play through and hasn't yet made it into ME2 (she's level 55 right now, and I want l60 for the import bonuses... her current play through will be her 'canon' play through). The other is with Artemis, an infiltrator who is basically a remake of my first femShep of the same name (confusingly, Athene is the original Artemis in looks, but a different class, while new Artemis is the same class as the original and almost the same in looks but with slight face tweaks and dark brown eyes), and she's about half-way through her first play through. I've made some screw-ups with the mouse slipping on the dialog wheel, so she'll need at least one more play-through regardless of the level reached at this one (though I doubt I can get her to 60 in one PT... just not that dedicated to grinding for as many extra XP as I can).

Not to start a flamewar about which game is better (I'll just state for the record: I love them both. However, I love ME1 more than ME2. But I still love ME2), but this bit from this review of Arrival sums things up well...

Compared to what has come before in this universe, Arrival is a husk--outwardly familiar, yet lacking the character and careful construction that give Mass Effect 2 its soul. This is how a game can suffer when the elements that make it special are remixed or removed. By withholding excellent characters, squad banter, and the element of choice, Arrival transforms Mass Effect 2 into a mediocre third-person shooter.

Change "Mass Effect 2" and "Arrival" into "Mass Effect" and "Mass Effect 2" respectively, and that pretty much sums up my views, though I'd not want to sound as bitter, because ME2 is still damn good fun.

Back on page 1103, I compared my views of the Mass Effect universe to my views of Stephen King's Dark Tower universe... I still stand by that, so I can take disappointments in where the story may be going in stride and still enjoy it.
:innocent:

I dunno I always go perfectionist on every playthrough of Mass Effect.  Highest level you can get too is 57 so you do need two plays regardless.

Oh and when I mean everything I mean EVERYTHING!

Amelia likes searching for minerals and Thresher Maws!!  I killed abou 12 of them on foot in ME1 so I dunno what the big deal was about killing one in ME2 :P

Pleanty of situations for her to look good isnt there

I just laughed aloud, giving a most unholy giggle-snort, at the COVERED IN BEEEEEEES comment.

I do have a silly question to toss out here, though! Sorry if something similar has been asked:

So, it's party-time, and with parties inevitably come booze, strippers, and... drunken karaoke. What song does your FemShep get up there and sing?

(For the purposes of this question we'll just have to assume Shepard's into 'oldies' so none of us are stuck trying to write what would be a contemporary song to her.)

Without a doubt, Delia Shepard would have to sing "Proud Mary" -

I've actually found that doing LoTSB before the SM helps make it feel like you don't need Cerberus anymore. I save the reunion for post SM though, but love having Liara in place before the final battle.Image IPB

My first run through ME with Renee was perfectionist, in some ways, though, it's almost too much.

But that's something to like.

Definatly a song by Queen.   Not sure which yet.   If she can get Kelly, Kasumi and Joker to join then probably Bohemian Rhapsody

Damn. I see. I guess that explains why Athene 'only' got to L55 with doing quite a bit (I slacked off on hunting for minerals while dirtside after I'd accomplished the mission, though I'd still grab them when they were on my way; I also got a bit lazy about killing things on foot).

Oh well... the overall point is, I don't mind doing another play-through.

Besides, killing things on foot isn't so bad, right?

[edit]
Oh yeah.. Re: Killing thresher maws on foot... I KNOW, RIGHT?

They make such a big deal out of it in ME2. I wish I had the option to say, "Meh. Wrex and I used to do that all the time, just for fun."

If she HAD to sing...hrm. Rhiannon.  As Nicks sings, "once in a million years, a lady like her rises". Man now I really want to see Myddine sing the finale from that video.

So a question for you all - Tup's geth
re-write got me thinkin' - what decision from ME1 or 2 are you MOST
curious to see the outcome of? They could be the ones you felt most
conflicted about or just the ones you're really curious to see how they
play out, even if you'd never in a million years do them
differently.

I'm kind of interested in how they will implement the rachni from a technical standpoint as they are either there or they are not.  I’m most interested in seeing the outcome of the Quarin/Geth situation.  The true Geth don’t seem to really want a war, but they will defend themselves if necessary.  Admiral Xen seems to be the wild card in the whole affair and may do more harm than anyone.  I’m kind of curious where they will take Miranda’s character. Is she truly done w/ Cerberus?  It would be interesting if she actually ended up taking over the organization, w/ Shep’s influence of course.  I’d also like to know just what Cerberus did to Shepard.  She can drink deadly poison and it only knocks her out.  She can probably drink Wrex under the table and even crazy, indoctrinated mad scientists sedation can’t keep her down completely.   (Granted that last one was just a plot device). And then there’s the cipher?  Can Shep still understand Prothean?  Finally, will refund guy finally get his refund?  I’m rooting for him.

UJ would have an unhealthy obsession w/ The Clash.  Train in Vain – the original punk torch song. (She might actually be able to really work the Annie Lennox version, though)

Still taking Abigail through ME2. Finishing up some UNC missions since like Captain Crash I tend to pick up as many mineral sites as I can. (Though admittedly, I use a map from the wikia site.)

There's still a strange graphics glitch at certain angles, so I think I messed up the cheek gaunt or the hairstyle does that. Found a few silly images.

"Geth don't surf!"

Image IPB

"Come on, Wrex!" "No." "You know you want to dance!" "No."

Image IPB

Yep, shot Jeong again.

Image IPB

Hopefully no one has a problem with it...

Edit: Karaoke? Abigail would probably pick this.

(*Reaper fleet approaching* "So.. any ideas?" "Got the karaoke machine running?" "No, and that won't work." "It has an effect on the audience everytime you sing it." "That only works on organics.")

I love Kathryn Shepard!

Well, the only thing what disappointed me in the new DLC is a lot of auto dialogue. Shepard talked a lot herself without player's help. Everything else was pretty good for me.

The end run in 'Arrival' was like a Suicide Mission for me. Fortunately I had weapons I used on the last mission.

And what is your FemShep's favorite weapon?

To be honest, I actually enjoy the occasional campy line in Mass Effect, as long as it's not a constant thing. The Princess Bride references in ME2 always got me smiling.

Anyway, my Arrival FemShep trailer is turning out really well. I warn you, though, it's a bit different from the original. Though I think the original is OK, I don't think it felt epic enough.

Not that Hrist can sing, but she'd probably go with something like Heroes by David Bowie.

Or maybe this. ^_^

Marta would sing NIN's "Head Like A Hole" randomly giving partiers the finger.

Cara would sing Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", stop about halfway in, realize that it's stupid, then switch to Nickelback's "Burn It To the Ground".
