1.) apologies to any Kaidan fans, but I have yet to find a Shepard that is attracted to him, and I usually find him annoying (from the romance angle; I like him and find his backstory interesting from the just know your characters angle). Case in point: I thought we were just talking and I was learning about him, and he asked if I was like that with everyone. I said Yes, I like to know the people I'm working with. But I don't necessarily enjoy it with everyone. Now, to me that is not a come on. That's just being straight up friendly and honest. And he comes off with "I'm gonna need some time to process that." EVERY TIME, my reaction is "Process WHAT???"

2.) I find that romancing Liara makes for a better story. You get to have someone there for that touching scene outside the lockers, not to mention the love scene. On top of that you get that feeling of... of... "I don't know what it feels like but it feels right" when you reaffirm the romance at the end of LotSB (and not just reaffirming the romance, but having someone to talk to who isn't making any demands of you). I honestly hope that those of you who romanced Kaidan get a similar moment in ME3, because for me it was one of the most powerful moments I've ever experienced in a game.

And since I'm sure everyone has the exact same picture with their own femShep, I'll throw mine into the mix.
1. ah yeah, that middle line still being relationship encouragement threw me off as well first time I picked it, I'm farily sure its a bug, the same way as "renegade" line for Liara is a bug. (I originaly thought that blaiming him for the beacon would have stopped the romance, but it didn't...chalk it up to bad programing IMO), but I generaly just suck it up and go with "I was just waiting for the good part" in a very first post spectre induction conversation and it seems to stop any romance from happening, while still letting me ask all the questions I want (edited to add- yeah, he divulges a bit less if you don't romance him, but you still get a lot of his backstory, its just not as personaly charged as it is with a romanced femshep). I believe it was a second conversation where he's trying to tell you about not cutting corners? (or was it the third) where he asks if he's out of line, and you can say - yeah, you are.
2. all ME1 LI's get a locker scene that is both touching and lovely and you can make it go several different ways depending on responces, including the one path where Kaidan at least tells you "everything is going to be all right" and I really do love the romance scene for both Kaidan and Ashley, it has so much desperate passion to it in the beginning. Liara's scene has a different mood to it, in some ways its almost reverent.
I do hope that we get the sort of reaffirmation scene as you get with Liara...eventualy.
