ewww... yeah, not so much. i just like the jumpsuits. i imagine they have good protections built in, just are easier to move in. i guess it comes down to the fact that i don't like molded boob-plating, but i like the catsuit effect. and i hate shoulderpads. i remember back to the 80s, when i always cut them out of every piece of clothing i owned (i guess i just dated myself there).  somehow, the old style armor manages to imply sexy without pushing into the realm of the ridiculous - at least for me.

@ mr. vakarian: daw, thanks. well, to answer your question, i force myself to write at least 3 hours a day, at least 5 days a week. it would be more, but life intrudes. you sit your butt down that often and you're bound to come up with something. sometimes its even good.

heh...I cannot discard my femsheps :/ I cannot even delete original version of Leah (who went through I think 4 or 5 revisions before I was satisfied with her face enough to convince myself to stop tweaking already).

Lena is gorgeous btw, amazing features, too bad she's...retired...yes, retired is the word I'm going to use here

Ah, Kyrie. She's just so... defined. Like she was pre-rendered.

I discarded my old screenies long time ago, but luckily some of them left on tinypic.
First Marge was terribly... wrong. I loved her, but it was a face made in haste (STARTTHEGAMEALREADY!  - voice of my hun behind my back made me do it...). Then I passed quite large part of the game, so I didn't wanted to change the character.

Mmm, yeah.


Then the ME2 was released and I just had to make changes from scratch.


Later, I decided to change lips/nose/cheeks, considering how ME2 lighting didn't liked larger noses and pale skin. She became similar to as you know her now... And finally made her face larger, cheeks more full, lowered the eyebrows to max, still left the sunken eyes thou

"OMG, did you REALLY needed to remind me that?"


She doesn't fully fit with the voice. I think. You may see for yourself.

i, personally, could look at pics and profiles of femsheps from this thread all day - esp. marge - yay!

and @ akodo - really? i think marge fits the voice.

that's an interesting question, though: do you think your femshep(s) fit hale's voice? did you aim for that, stumble into that, or just go..nah, but whatever, i like the way she looks anyhow.

for me, i think kyrie fits the voice most of the time, but there are times i expect her to sound like me, and then it's weird when she doesn't.

For you....everytime its PURE GOLD. Kyrie is fantastic and her story is remarkably perfect and so well written.  Wow...3 hours a day/ 5 days week!? I wish I could do the same.  Most of the time I only get an hour or two once or twice a week...maybe. 

..That said, I'm also NOT an accomplished writer, by any means! lol!  For someone who struggled with writing and english in school and has no free time...I sure have big dreams about Maddy's fanfic! lol!

I can't say that I made a femshep to fit her voice, but sometimes when I write short lines for her I hear a different voice, but msot times I hear Hale when I write her in my stories. Her custom voice that I hear is a little more girly but also more angry for renegade talking. adds more fear in my mind.

I think for the most part Alice fits Hale's voicework.  The thing is, she's got a very 'mature' sounding voice, and Shepard is a year younger than I am, so it's hard to reconcile those two facts.  I mean, at my age I'm not feeling half the amount of self-assuredness or drive that Shepard seems to exude, so my headcanon/fanfic has a lot of unspoken confidence issues that sometimes don't seem to fit the voice.  There have been some instances where Hale's VA evokes the sense of a more...  'fragile' person underneath the 'Commander' image, and when that happens, it feels like it fits.

I have no trouble believing that my own Shepard, Kate fits Hale’s voice because it’s what I’m most used to. However I take screenshots for a lot of different xbox players ( I think my count of guest FemShep’s is about 15 )and it does seem weird to me when I hear Hale's voice coming from another Shepard that doesn't resemble my own.

30 doesn't seem that young to me, but then again I'm looking at it from the other side  

As to the original question, it worked and I stumbled into it on the first playthrough. But it seems like it can work with a pretty wide variety. Unfortunately I cannot test this myself without horrible horrible bias.

I'm certain most people would say this about their femSheps, but Hale's voice sounds as if it was made for UJ.  That's why it took me so long to create another femShep, Erica, and she had to be a renegade so that the dialogue would be vastly different. There are very few times when I feel the voice doesn’t fit and that has more to do w/ Hale's inflections than the actual sound of her voice.

I definitely kept Hale's voice in mind when designing all four of mine. Even though they look different from each other I never have a problem believing femShep's voice is their voice.

I actually just took a nice-looking Femshep off of Masseffectfaces and tweaked it a lot to find mine.  No designing for Hale's voice or anything.  I didn't trust myself to make a decent looking anything with the CC after my uglymaleshep.

that totally makes sense. i feel like half the time shep is "i have no issues" and sometimes she's like "i am deeper than i appear" so yeah, i get you. i have to head-canon that somehow she's both.

and as for age, i think it depends on the person. i've now caught up with shep in age, so i feel like it works, even if i haven't accomplished nearly as much as her in my lifetime.

considering the end of arrival, that's probably a good thing...

Hah I actually found a screen where Myddine doesn't look like she fits Hale's voice at all. Makes her look about 17 Same scene as my screenshot earlier this page to boot, where I think she fits Hale perfectly.

Actually gives me an idea for a topic: give me images of your Shepard where she looks totally different than she usually does!

I didn't really work on making Jennifer fit the voice. She just did. lol

So yeah, my sheppie fits perfectly well...Hale's VA works well with jennifer's personality too, sometimes tough, sometimes kind...some times a bit 'fragile' and 'feminine'
so yeah, all in all, it's a part of who Jennifer is now.

Ahaha, that made me giggle.

It can look pretty good on PC but my old system struggles with it, sadly. Hasn't stopped me playing through twice though, stuttering gameplay and all.
