Okay, I finished Cara's ME2 run last night, and now I can answer someone's question from a bunch of pages ago: Which in-game line best describes your Shepard? (don't remember who actually asked it)

For Cara this definitely was: "You know me, I like the challenge. This is as good as it gets."

This was 100% vintage Cara. I actually thought the game was reading my mind for a sec.

I don't think Rhea looks that generic personally. .*snip*...I tend to do the same thing with Hrist, who I don't think is is a particularly stand out Shepard compared to a lot of the ones posted here. But I see her all the time so I'm used to how she looks and anything you see repeatedly tends to become routine and normal.

There is nothing generic or routine about Hrist.  I gotta be honest, your shot of her in Jack's loyalty mission (the close up with the mattock) is my current wallpaper.  Just ignore my earlier comment to Crash about "needing" new wallpaper.

That's kind of you to say, and I'm glad you're getting some use out of all the screenshots I spam in here.

And I didn't mean to imply  that I think Hrist looks bad, far from it, I think he looks great. I just see her all the time, so I'm used to her face.

@Aislinn: That's a really nice drawing. I don't think you give yourself enough credit. You clearly can draw, so keep at it. =]

@Crash: That picture is faaaaar too cute.

One wonders if this thread has ever been trolled. I'd look myself just to satisfy my curiosity but over a thousand pages is a bit daunting.

Although, I'd hope even trolls had enough sense to not mess with a collective of FemSheps.

@Crash: Ah, I'm talking about the one people pass around from time to time on this thread, the "what did your Shepard do here, and here, and here? Who did you lose on the Suicide Mission, and why are Shep and [insert love interest] such a good match?" I had to leave a few spaces blank last time since Cara hadn't finished ME2 yet.

Nope.  Theres been a couple of incidents where someone has tried to troll or posted an ignorant opinion but they were quickly ignored and their posts reported.  :)

Normally trolling only works to get a reaction, but since were all so reasonable its kind of futile for them to try.  :P

Anyway thats enough of that talk

@Akari

I'm decent at doing faces, but I'm still really out of practice when it comes to anatomy...and hands. But, I'm trying to get better.

This is one of the most awesome forum threads I've ever participated in, which is also why I spend pretty much all my time here. The people here are amazing!

So, I had a bad moment today where I was bombarded with yet another round of: "FemShep is just a butch lesbian, I hate her voice" nonsense from people around the internet. Well, after we talked about ELE08's Shepard graveyard I got an idea, since she arguably has the cutest femSheps around. So after digging through all my old careers for a Jacob romance save, since it was the only time in the whole game where femShep sits with her legs crossed I managed to snag a few screenies after using Gibbed to put ELE's Lena Shepard face on that old career.

End result:

Very dignified. :)

I don't know why people equate a strong female character with a butch lesbian. Makes me facepalm every time. And there's just no reasoning with them! If they're so concerned with her lack of especially feminine behaviour, I suggest they try being girly with tactical armour on and an assault rifle.

Thank you. It's not just that she's a strong female character, that's awesome - but there also seems to be this whole thing where she's seemingly not allowed to be...attractive. I'm not sure where this originated, maybe some people are just too damn afraid of seeing attractive women that'd have zero interest in them? *sigh* same old internet. <_< - the fact that she's a space-marine character in a science-fiction story makes it all the more laughable.

Yep, that seems to be the case. Personally, I find her strength quite attractive and I think that adds to the allure of her character. The fact that there are quite a number of cute FemSheps out there, as evidenced by this thread (and your picture), is just an added bonus, for me. :3

What endears me so much to FemShep is that she comes off as a strong woman who doesn't care about 'being girly'. I mean, for real...she's been a soldier most of her life. She's also off trying to save the entire galaxy. She needs a commanding presence to lead and in order to be taken seriously.

I believe all of that makes her incredibly sexy and powerful.

Exactly, Aislinn! I imagine you're getting much the same garbage from the youtube trolls, huh? It's her strength of character that makes her attractive. Screw being 'girly' - no one wants them to start adding that in. It's the fact that Hale manages to retain femininity through her voice-work when appropriate that makes her performance awesome. FemShep on the job is a soldier, through and through. That doesn't mean she can't let a little bit of tenderness through if the situation calls for it...which she does, if you're a Paragon. It's just not flaunted overtly, but I guess "mainstream" gamers these days have no concepts of subtlety.

Okay, updated for ME2 completion

Intro stuff

Name: .Shepard, Cara Bethany
Background: Earthborn, Ruthless
Alignment: Renegon (100% Renegade, 50% Paragon)
class: Post-Lazarus Vanguard
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Charge (duh), Shockwave (oh, the trouble she would have gotten into during her gang days with this)

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

ME1 Council: Saved, with heavy reservations
The Rachni: Spared, but given dire warning
What happened on Feros?: Jeong, suicide-by-Shepard; some colonist casualties; Shiala spared (Cara not feeling like a very good Renegade at this point)
Virmire: Saved Kaidan
Conrad Verner: WTF is this s**t?
Noveria: Enjoyed booting some salarian behind out of administration
Bring Down the Sky: Bugged
Anderson or Udina: Udina; felt Anderson would be more useful staying with the Alliance military

ME2 and the Council: Flipped them off, told them to shove it
The Collector Base: Flipped TIM off, told him to shove it
Suicide Mission casualties: Tali dead in engine room explosion, Thane killed via tunnel, Mordin casualty during hold-the-line
The Geth: "Then blow 'em up!"
Tali: Disregard farce trial, acquire loyalty (Tali not exiled)
Genophage cure data: Irresponsible not to keep it
Overlord: I have no idea what you're talking about...
Kasumi: Destroyed greybox

Personal stuff

Romance: Jacob Taylor

Why Shepard and Jacob are such a great match: They can both keep things casual during normal duty hours, which is important for Cara since she tends to be very casual with relationships. Jacob is good at being able to figure out what's bothering her, and is able to keep up with the pace of her life without her having to slow down for him.

Best Friends:
Miranda and Kasumi (girls night out on the Citadel anyone?),
Anderson (there's a bit of hero worship there),
Ashley (rest in peace, Chief, promise to look after Sarah for you),
Kaidan (don't wait your whole life for me, LT, go chase some skirts!),
Garrus (pretty cool guy, for a turian)

Personality:
Mean. (Yeah, thanks, Indigo. :P)

Prone to uncontrolled 180-degree lapses in morality alignment (explaining a slew of major Paragon choices). She doesn't put up with crap or tolerate frivolous pleasantries on business (military business). She also has a bit of a mouth and doesn't relate well to a lot of people.

Three fun facts:
1) She and Shiala share a mutual respect, owing to the fact that Shiala is the first asari with whom Cara feels her trust was well-placed.
2) She kinda digs the Renegade scars.
3) She wonders if her mother was anything like Dr. Chakwas.
******************************
Cara never recruited Samara, directly due to her asari paranoia. "No way am I voluntarily putting an asari zealot on my ship!"

They don't, which is why they call Mark Meer's voice acting for Shepard "monotone."

I can't view that video in my country. D:

Thankfully, I know my war correspondents. And, yes, she's a brilliant counter-argument. I shall have to slip her into one of my debates at some point!
