FemShep is such a bad dancer. :pinched::happy:

I love it!

(Liara definitely has some slick moves, though)

Oh, don't worry. I'm an even worse dancer than FemShep.

Wrex has better moves.

Like I said, I love it!  Personally, for my femSheps, Artemis just can't dance well (she's really not much of a dance-club type), and Athene needs far more alcohol in her system to dance smoothly (sure, she puked her guts out on the Citadel in the toilet, but you better believe she danced as smooth as silk from that bar to that toilet to bow down to the porcelin goddess). But, they also are very un-self-conscious, so they have no problem getting onto the dance floor and feeling like they're tearing it up, regardless of the opinions of any onlookers.

(disclaimer: not a lady. also, actually can dance better than femShep... barely)
[edit]
(disclaimer for the disclaimer: alcohol may influence my personal judgment of my dancing skills)
(but I can swing dance like a mofo)

Shepard draws her pistol. "No, but I can make you dance." And she starts shooting the ground around that person's feet, old west style.
:bandit:
"Come on, dance!" *BANG* "Dance!" *BANG BANG* "I said DANCE!". *BANG*

I wanted to add after my last post (but I had to go to work), that another reason I love playing FemShep is because she is very empowering. As a woman myself, it's always satisfying to be able to take on the role of a strong, independent and competent woman in charge. There are so many games out there with female characters that just leave me shaking my head at the screen.

i agree. i made the mistake of trying to play starcraft right after beating ME2 on hardcore. i got to the introduction of the medic unit: "You Rang???!?" "Ooooh! Looks like someone needs triage???!???" "The doctor is IN!!?!??!" and did a major facepalm. i was playing with my hubby and a buddy and they were both like, "oh, i didn't even notice" i was like - "ugh..." after months of nothing but jennifer hale, you notice, you really do.

Havent played Starcraft 2 but your right. After playing ME for so long you start to notice any really bad gender steriotypes in games now.  Especially in terms of dialogue.  Those lines are just terrible! :P

See femshep is changing gaming for the better!

Oh loving the Flux gif!! B)   Did anyone else miss the Quasar Machines in ME2?

Starcraft1@2 was the games i played before ME and i totally agree. They're filled with the bad gender steriotypes. Ugh is the word that describes it all. FemShep is changing the gaming to a much better place

Heh. With the angle that she's holding her pistol there, that shot could go equally well with my "'Dance' *BANG* 'I said dance!' *BANG*" comment above.

Broken Record... cant avoid it  [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
LotSB really was something awesome and reminded us what we loved Mass Effect for.  Even Overlord worked with the emotional involvement.  So it still boggles me as to why ME2 main plot fell so flat and why Arrival was so terrible knowing how they can do it right!

Also why are all the emotional moments in the game in the DLCs?

Image IPB

Seriously seeing David for the first time was the biggest shock ME2 gave me! Well until Lair.

I cant decide if ME3 is going to be amazing like Overlord/Lotsb quality or terrible...  It pains me that optional DLC were more vested then the main game.

In the end were left filling in the blanks overselves because of lack of consistancy or emotional reaction.  Like Arrival.

Femshep needs more moments like that. :P

i do not remember this line. but it sounds like conrad.

^ this is sooo cute.

does ash do a shep-like dance? never tried. but shep/kaidan is hysterical because they're both SO BAD at dancing. with liara, it sorta makes sense. shep sucks, but liara looks amazing, so you figure shep probably got out there just so she could stare at liara being gorgeous. and then liara has that intense STARE down while she's dancing. kaidan just looks around like he's all nervous that he'd being watched and he's trying to pick up moves from the salarians in the corner, while shep is watching her partner and then she gets all crazy and dances for herself at the end (my fave part, as she goes totally off-beat).

anyhow, i really want to steal that turian/renegade shep dance from ME2 for my shep for those moments. sadly, i never got *quite* enough renegade points to pull it off for kyrie.

okay, so ash is closer to liara. see, it makes sense that shep would gaze at them distractedly when dancing. like "oh, huh, wait...i'm supposed to dance here?" /jaw dropping to floor.

kaidan/femshep just look so dorky. it makes me smile, but it's true.

Image IPB

^ that's the only pic i have of it. somehow, if i were another clubber, i'd be REALLY nervous dancing next to the newly-minted spectre and her dance partner, both of whom are carrying "enough firepower to wipe out a whole platoon"

Heh. Assuming he survives Virmire (which he does in 50% of my games; I am honestly exactly 50/50 split on VS... I figure my canon will be that Athene will have Kaidan and Artemis will have Ashley; but I digress), I always feel bad if I bring Kaiden along to Flux when I do the dance with Liara (usually when going to speak to Capt. Anderson).

Whoever is else is with you in your party just stands at the side of the dance floor with their back to you. When it is poor old rejected Kaidan, it's kind of sad to see, because it looks (from behind) like he's trying very hard to control his feelings about seeing Shepard with someone else.

Granted, all characters do the back turn. But with him it seems like there's something there. Next, just for kicks, I should release the fly-cam and see if there is any particular look on his face in that situation.
