A random thought but am I the only one who on some level actually enjoys the fact that Femshep is not in any of the promos? What I mean is that if we only get Sheploo in the trailers and promo pieces then once the game is released the experience of playing a Femshep feels much more exciting in comparison.

I'm glad she's not in any of the promos, but only because I don't like thinking about what marketing teams would do with "female space marine" as a prompt.

Wazzup with the title?

Did someone call FemShep an 'easter egg'?

Doesn't bother me at all that she's not in the promos. It only irks me when she's left out of wallpapers and avatars on the website though. We can have fugly aliens as avatar choices, but not Jane, oh no! =p

Awesome title change, Ryn!

And that brings into mind a question. How well do your femsheps sleep at night considering all the crazy stuff going on in their lives?

Fairly well, sometimes. She has nightmares, or just doesn't sleep. When she does, she makes the most of it, but Mindoir haunts her quite often.

@Ryn

LOL, I love the thread title change.

@Tup

Yes, it's 100% because of CrapTube. My videos look completely fine until I upload them there, then I ALWAYS have to go make adjusts because of it. I find it much easier just to capture at a higher gamma, as that tends to work out for me. Otherwise, I have to go through and adjust EVERYTHING. My Arrival trailer worked out really well using this method.

Love the blog Jamie, commented and liked! I also posted my fics in the Fanfic section. Hope I followed the rules properly.

I actually think setting up a post for each person is a good idea, that way you can sort of browse through them.  I can't wait till people post more in there, then I can have a centralized place to go read people's writing.

I'm one of those people who bought ME not knowing if you could play as a female character or not based on the advertising.

So I recreated Katie as best I could in ME1, but can't show her off as F11 doesn't work as intended. It takes an image, but I can't open said image in anything... Not sure why. It's rather frustrating really...

Any ideas anyone?

Tim

P.S. In my config folder in 'BIOInput', it has Bindings=(Name="F11",Command="TakeScreenShot")

Should I just replace this with Bindings=(Name="F11",Command="Shot") ?

Edit:  Slick moves Crash, slick moves...

Tim, do you still have the F11 problem? Here's the link to Sage's blog and she had the same problem as you do. All you have to do is change the binding to others except F11. Mine is set to NumPadTwo and it works just fine. B)

Groovy! :)   I love this!!!   arghh damn this sites grey background.  It looks so much nicer when you right click open in new tab!

Thanks :D

And nothing wrong with a little fanaticism, as long as you're not burning anyone at the stake ;)

And now to go through 4 pgs of thread...

I really like the FemShep.com -- I just rebooted my canon and made minor tweaks and changed her eyebrows (it was pointed out to me that the ones I liked made her look sad all the time and now I can't "unsee" the sadness so hence the change!) so all my prior screenshots are no longer apply. Have to rebuild it all back up lovingly! =p (And try to scoot up my renegade score a bit higher -- rawr. I am never going to get that damn red background in the end of ME1 because the paragon points come rolling in when I start doing Virmire!)

Interesting question. Aside from the visions, Erica sleeps pretty well. She doesn't let herself have regrets if she can help it. She does worry, however about what's coming and that does keep her up sometimes. She will have nightmares about the Normandy being attacked too, but those are rare. The only things that really haunt her are letting Ash die and letting the hostages die on Terra Nova.

UJ has a few nightmares about Mindoir, Akuze every now and then, but mostly odd dreams where she is drowning. Sometimes the visions spill into those dreams and it is difficult for her to sleep. One trick she has is that she will swallow her pride and let herself cry (hidden and alone) and that gets it out of her system and she's fine.

Holly has recurring nightmares about Mindoir. It was a pretty traumatic experience for her.

Moira sleeps like a baby. She never dwells on much of anything.

Trista has nightmares about both Mindoir and Akuze.

Constance doesn't sleep much, because she's a work-a-holic. Also restless without Liara.

MacKenzie occasionally has dreams about her death, suffocating in space. She secretly hates the skylight in the captain's quarters. On those nights she sleeps on the couch.

Aislinn sleeps pretty well, all things considered. Once in a while, if she has a vivid dream she'll wake up with her biotics flaring.

Re: Nightmares...

Both Athene and Artemis sleep pretty normally. Well as normally as any soldier can. That is, their patterns and distributions of dreams aren't out of the ordinary. Nightmares do occur, but they are just as likely to be about something serious like Mindoir, Akuze, Virmire, etc. as they are to be about something completely random, like an invasion of giant mutant pyjacks with guns that shoot bullets that turn things into blue jello.

Artemis tends to remember her dreams more, as she's a bit more twitchy and tends to wake up in the middle of them. Annoyingly, it is this waking up during dreams that ends up making her more twitchy (along the lines of how people who don't dream enough tend to have problems in waking life), but it's not serious enough to be more than a minor annoyance. She can still hold everything together, but it does give her a tendency to be a bit... less than diplomatic, on occasion.

Athene tends to sleep through her dreams and not remember them as clearly or as often. Nothing out of the ordinary with her.

For both, dreaming is a cathartic release, as it is for anyone. Dreams tend to be more "on topic" when that thing of topic is really on their minds, but this isn't necessarily the case.
