It would be nice to be able to talk to male characters without having to wade through a minefield of romance dialog. Dear Bioware: not all relationships can be classified as "want to shag" or "never want to talk to". There's a middle ground, and it would be nice if Shepard's dialog could reflect this, both in content and in tone (this probably goes both for maleShep and femShep, but I noticed the "seductive" tone more with femShep).

Finally making some progress with my infiltrator Natalia in ME1.

Things are going slow though. Now I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make another shep (the fifth), specially considering I have to rerun 2 of them :(

Anyone else "preparing" their saves for ME3 already ?

Wow, those are some pretty great pics (all of them).

Naked Shepard is a hottie. Anyone ever try messing with the flycam during the love scenes?

Of course not!  Why would anyone do that?!

I'll probably do a full run-through of both games sometime near the end of the summer (maybe even making a few tweaks to Alice's face code), just to get the "perfect" playthrough.  It's gonna be agonizing if ME3 comes out while I'm still in grad school for the fall quarter!  :crying:

Well, they could add specific romance dialogue choices like in DA2 if you would want to follow that route.

Gyah, it’s impossible to keep up with this thread when you can only check it once a day.

It’s interesting that dreams came up for the femShep Questionnaire of the Week.  As far as the Shepard character goes, after the Lazarus Project, Jessica doesn’t dream at all (something supported by the line in Arrival where she tells Hackett “I’m not seeing any more visions if that’s what you’re asking”).  This is a direct result of her being (as I still firmly maintain) essentially an AI construct in an organic body.  After the beacon in ME1, though, she had plenty of trouble sleeping, being overwhelmed with Prothean visions that ended up wrapping themselves around imagery of the trials she experienced in her missions, especially after Virmire.

That ties into the more interesting thing about this subject, though, which is how it intersects with my recent real life experiences, in that I actually had a dream set in Mass Effect myself, oh… almost a week ago now.  I haven’t been able to post really at all since then thanks to my schedule being packed, but it’s something that ties in perfectly to the subject, especially since I’m going to work it up as a fanficlet.  What was trippy about this dream is that, essentially, I dreamed that I was Jessica, having a dream about talking with Ashley in Flux.  In essence, I knew I was dreaming, but I dreamed that I was Jessica Shepard in the process of having the dream.  It was very trippy to be in a surreal dream-state Flux talking with Ash and Kaidan post-Virmire.

Anyone else ever had dreams where they were in Mass Effect?

I think Shepard was talking about visions from Object Rho Sable. but tht's amazing that you dreamed you were your Shepard.Image IPB

No, that particular line of dialogue I'm referring to was in the first conversation with Hackett, when he asks "How are you?" and Shepard responds with the "no more visions" line.  So the mission hasn't even come up yet, to say nothing of Object Rho.

even if it hasn't come up yet, she's talking about the visions from Object Rho. that's how Harbingers "hologram" appeared to her because of Object Rho.

This is something I've debated in my head back and forth, whether my 1st playthrough is more 'real' and less tainted by subconscious metagaming, and thus should be used.

In the end though I'll probably use the playthrough I'll do just before ME3 comes out. It will be tainted a bit by metagaming (like releasing Grunt, even though logically releasing an armored krogan made by a mass murdering madman, when you are alone, unarmored, and carrying only a pistol is a comletely bat**** retarded idea), but will be mostly the same as the 1st playthrough.

Yup. In the maintenance tunnels.

Here's a similar shot from a different angle with Artemis

Can you tell I like taking Wrex and Liara on that mission? Wrex's dialog throughout Noveria is top-notch.

And that brings into mind a question. How well do your femsheps sleep at night considering all the crazy stuff going on in their lives?

Popping in real quick to answer this, since I'm done with a crazy amount of schoolwork and can wander in and enjoy this thread again...!

Delia Shepard sleeps like a rock - when she can sleep. I imagine that she is almost always interrupted by something or another. She would love to sleep in, someday... and when that happens, she'll inevitably wake up at 6 am as usual and not be able to enjoy it at all.

As for dreams... I'm actually about to go write up one for my cheezy crossover, lol... but typically her dreams are of the 'get up and do things you planned to do all day', often with a bizarre twist - especially when it comes to nightmares. It's not "oh no, the reapers!", it's "oh no, somebody left fifty dead badgers in the Normandy's engine room again!".

One recurring place setting is of a camp she went to at about age 14. [ Yes, now I'm just rambling in my own fanon. Sorry. ] Being born and raised a spacer kid, her mother wanted her to have a few good experiences ground-side. The camp was for similar children of the military. Although she didn't make any truly lasting friendships or even do anything especially remarkable, she greatly enjoyed the experience. The surrounding woods, lake, and bonfire (on the next to last day of camp) are often the setting for her more tranquil dreams.

I noticed that my 2nd and even my 3rd playthroughs changed significantly from my first one.  I chalk it up to the fact that in my first run, I was making decisions based on how I would make them, whereas afterward I felt that I had a better understanding of who Alice was, and started making decisions based on how she would make them.

When I put it like that, it seems like it should be easy to make another Shepard and play through with a completely different set of decision-making criteria, but I just haven't been able to do it.

It can't be.  Neither she nor Hackett know Object Rho even exists at that point.  She's referring to the Prothean visions from ME1.

I just want some warning before my F!Shep starts looking one of her subordinates over like a piece of choice meat. That, and no uber-drama-angst. If I want that, I'll go buy a Nickolas Sparks novel.

if you're talking about when Hackett is in the medbay then yes Shepard means from Object Rho, when Kenson shows it to her she get's blasted the same way the beacon did in Me1 and that gives her visions of the arrival then the fight for your life thing happens. thsoe are the visions she's talking about.

When I start a new Shepard, I don't have all the dialog options, choices and stuff all scripted in my head. I'm fleshing out my character as I go. Of course, that often means I end up saying, "crap, that didn't make sense"
So probabably I should make a rerun for all my sheps. Not  gonna happen.
Thankfully, I wouldn't change anything in Natalia's run so far.

It's not too hard to compartmentalize. One's a paragon, the other's a renegade. Easy. :P
and Shiala always makes it to Illium.

I deleted my canon in both games to restart her character. I really thought I had her done, even took lots of screenshots and videos and stored them away on the external hard drive, but the magazine article got me stupidly excited about the return of Kaidan. I thought about how there were just a couple of facial tweaks I wanted to make and how I completely forgot to look for the earthborn quest (had never done it and regretted missing out). Throw in the fact that I wanted to give the flycam a try ... yeah, it was time to restart all over again. Also since my last game, I had upgraded to Windows 7 and got a bigger monitor so my older screenshots were looking pretty dated, too. =p

Loved your pics, btw!
