So I've gotten started in on sorting through all the stuff for the femshep vid. Thanks to everyone who sent me stuff
and thanks for the encouragement generally. Wow, this is going to take me a while. But thanks to folks and ELE's help re: gibbed, I am on my way.

Question:

Are there any femshep lines and/or moments that strike you as quite iconic? That is, not just your femshep, per se, but lines that really sum up for you who femshep is and what she's about?

I frapsed a few of my favorites, but I want to hear what other folks think.

The final chat Shepard has with TIM is probably my favourite. Ever since I discovered the "Sorry, having trouble hearing you. Gettin' a lot of bulls*** on this line." It was so nice to finally have Hrist tell him to go shove it.

That and the line to finish the conversation; "Joker, lose this channel." cue smug grin as she walks away.

I also like the scene on Mordin's loyalty mission when you use the renegade interupt on the ranting krogan.

The "You talk too much." line followed by the krogan mocking her for missing before she fires off another shot and lights him up.

Getting to punch Zaeed on his loyalty mission is another good one as well.

I can't think of much from ME1 at the moment, but the "Don't call me princess." line when talking to Harkin is one of my favourites.

Had a look through the fraps folder for something new, so you get four pictures instead of one.

Well, if I were to pick things that stood out for my canon Shepard:

When she tells off the reporter with the Paragon option.

When she helps the sick Batarian in Mordin's recruitment mission.
("You helped me... why?" "It's what I do.")

The Paragon speech just before going to find the human reaper.

The Paragon response to Tali and Legion's confrontation.

Comforting Nef's mother on Samara's loyalty mission.

Pistol whipping Archer and taking David away in Overlord.

Punching Zaeed and the Paragon confrontation at the end of his loyalty mission.

The shadowed shot of Shepard talking to Chawkwas after rescuing the crew.
("No one gets left behind.")


Those are all very Holly.  

Oh and thanks for the advice on pictures!  I feel dumb for not knowing that.

Damn, those are nice. Especially the second pic. Charge, right? I need to take more combat pics myself, but I get carried away and forget amidst all the action.

One tip. I assume your using the "ToggleHUD" command to get rid of the GUI. Use "Show Scaleform" instead as it gets rid of the power hotkey bar also.

I use both, just in case.

Command="ShowHud | show scaleform"

The paragon option when talking to Kalisah al-Jilani in ME2 (when she asks Shepard about sacrificing human lives to save the council, and Shepard lists off the name of every human ship that was destroyed).  Shows you how serious she is.

Pretty much this.

And, the tackling of Vasir during LotSB.

Every time I play that mission with my Vanguard that's a bit ..... arrrgghhh.....
I understand it's just a cinematic for everybody and whatever, but I can't help thinking "why didn't Shepard charge ??? She was charging and into people's face a minute ago"
Not that serious, but it feels a bit like the magic Assault Rifle everywhere

As a bit of an aside (and maybe off-topic, but I'll hopefully post some Katie in ME1 pics later to make up for it), but has everyone read the ME3 article on the ME3 unofficial wiki?  I have just read it (probably late to the party I know ), and if I wasn't already far too excited by ME3, I'm even more excited now!

P.S. Just to keep it on topic; has anyone tried putting the default Marian Hawke into ME?  I'm going to give it a go later (though probably straight into ME2 with a modded save).  If only Jo Wyatt could voice that Shep for me, life would be complete...

Yeah Tup3xi, that's what I mean. I'm going to try it at some point fairly soon (maybe after the first ME1 run through for Katie), so I can have a bit of a change of scene. Just wondering if anyone's tried it before?

Heh heh, same here.  That's why I included an opt-in/opt-out element.  I don't mind gameplay mechanics being spoiled, but story & characters - no!

I feel the same way.   I know at some point well before the game's actual release I'll have to drop off of BSN to avoid storyline spoilers but I'm hoping that isn't for awhile yet.

Started a new play through of Kate yesterday to take better screenshots after I made the adjustments suggested in the thread.

This one is one picture I didn't have the first time aorund with Kate.

The end of Arrival gave me a pretty clear idea of how ME3 would start, and having just gotten my GameInformer in the mail yesterday, I'm afraid I already know a few more facts about ME3 than I wanted to know at this point. I'm deliberately trying to stay uninformed about non-mechanics as well, 'cause I want to experience the full effect of seeing everything for the first time.

To bring this back to femShep, I kind of wanted to pimp a femShep fanfic that I've fallen in love with, The Beautiful Indifferent. The author had started it before ME2 came out and left it dormant for over two years, but just yesterday he/she updated it with a 5th chapter. Fair warning - the author is a bit verbose (Chapter 5 alone is 10k words), but it's one of the most amazing takes on Shepard that I've read.
