I have a question: What is the best way to take full-screen screenshots? I'm using Picasa on my Windows 7 machine, and it can't take screenies with the game configured for full-screen (or I haven't figured out how to make it do so), only windowed. I'd like to get my screenies without the distracting window bar on the top.

You mean wide-screen shots? I do not know and would like to. I think the best way is to use/get/borrow a widescreen monitor. As my better monitor is the one that makes everything windowed, I take screens and then crop them down in Picasa before uploading to web albums. not the coolest or most elegant solution, but it works.

I would like to know if there is a convenient way to take screenshotswhile the game is configured for its visual output to cover the entire screen, rather than being a big giant window that *fits* the screen and has the annoying and distracting window bar at the top of my screenshot every time I take one.

It's a check-box in the configuration utility marked Windowed that dictates whether or not it displays fullscreen--and whether or not I can take screenshots. If I uncheck Windowed, the window bar disappears but I can't take screenshots.

Someone else has suggested I take screenies with Fraps, so I'll try that.

@ Lord Zeuss - Fraps is one of the options. the other option is to open your game through steam. you can run it in offline mode if you want, its free, you just add game to your library (literally option +add game on the bottom of steam window) personally I prefer it because it doesn't have that annoying counter running in a corner and saves images in jpg format instead of bmp, like fraps.

@ AD - so Kallen does have glarring flaws after all.  how can she hate dogs?  /sad panda

Besides, puppies grow up. Kitties are forever~

And I need to think of how to steer this back on topic... 

If FemShep decided to get a kitty or a puppy, where would she keep it? And who would feed it whilst she was out on missions?

Kelly? But she'd extract a price...

I think it would depend on the shep. I think Kyrie wouldn't want the responsiblity of a pet in space. Some would like a kitty to snuggle, but for pure practicality, you can't beat a trained attack-varren. Of course, there is the smell...

Truthfully? Come ME3, there's only one extra roommate I want for Shep, and she's already told him he's not a pet.

I have to say, really fine job on her, ELE. Eyecolor, haircolor, lip and skintone. They all balance out perfectly.

And on a related note I've decided to take your Lena out of the graveyard...well her face anyways and give the Jacob romance a proper spin. Hopefully if I avoid the upper right options most of the time I can keep the cougar at bay.

hahah awww. Let's just say Kallen had a traumatizing experience with a dog at an early age. let'sjust ay she ws the butcher of Canine's before being the butcher of torfans (figure of speech. No dogs were harmed, too bad, in the making ofher backstory)

Armored attack-varren?  Sure.  I'll just take a FENRIS mech.

Program it to act like a dog, it'd be like the Tamagotchi of the future.  "Press A to feed."
Not as cuddly as the real thing.  Less clean-up.  And unlike a Varren, it won't be as depressing when it gets shot by mercs.
