Good morning! (or, it's morning in PST, anyway)

Last night I finished the femshep tribute vid I'd been working on and this morning, it finished it's upload. It was sort of surprising to suddenly find myself done after working on it so long. This is, if you remember, the video with an ensemble cast of Shepards generously shared with me by folks from this thread and femshep.com. So anyhow, showing ELE's pic, since she was the initial inspiration for the project...

I hope you enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed playing as all your femsheps. They are just beautiful - not just in appearance, but in design, characterization, etc. Truly a wealth of awesome creativity there. And screenshots don't do them justice. They play in game much better than I could have imagined. Very, very cool.

Notes on how I put the video together are here on my blog, if you're interested in those details.

And its very possible (probably inevitable) that I put someone in an incorrect armor piece at some point in time or whatever. I've noticed at least 2 spots where I have someone dressed slightly off. My apologies, and all mistakes are mine.

Oh, and thank you, thank you to everyone who lent Shepards, saves, advice on modding (ELE, Aislinn, I'm talking to you guys), etc. For those whose Shepards are not in the video, I'm sorry I didn't have room to go on forever (38 sheps was a little much as it was), but know this video is a tribute to ALL femsheps, not just the ones portrayed.

You guys are all awesome.

I must say Sage.....you do have the "golden touch" for absolute FemShep Awesomeness.

Oooh, I like the screen cap you got of that.

Thanks guys. Seriously, thanks. It was a huge project, but SO awesome to be able to see so many femsheps in action. The hardest part was trying to carve it down to something managable and making myself stop taking on additional femsheps. I wanted to just go on and on and on and get more and more...

Maybe someone else can do version 2.0 someday. (hint, hint)

Anyhow, thanks.  You guys rock.

Yeah I wanted to do a motivational poster for it.   Then I twigged the irony of putting her on a poster

But yes that was a lot of work, but the end quality of it is worth it!   B)   Fantastic vid!! <3

@Sage

That was fabulous! I can't express how much I love this. It was amazing to see so many gorgeous Shepard's together in one video. You really did a wonderful job. I especially loved the ending bit with the poster.

I couldn't imagine trying to keep all of that straight, I probably would have gone mad. I have enough trouble keeping track of my own Shepard gang. XD

I was glad to help however I could with saves, and I thank you for including my characters (Holly, Moira, MacKenzie). I also thank you for using Moira and Holly for the Garrus and Thane romances. A fitting tribute to FemShep if I ever saw one, kudos to you!

oooh! :D

Well again, thanks all. One of the hardest parts was just wanting to make something that did justice to femshep in general and each person's shep in particular. so again, thanks for the help and support.

In watching it again, I definitely caught more moments where armor/guns got slightly off from what is 'canon' for each shep, so i'll say again, sorry if that was your shep. I got a little mixed up in some of the saves and what guns/armor i had selected for each. i tended to be frapsing rather late into the night. tried to get the general gist correct, anyhow.

btw, i do not do twitter or FB (yeah, i know, i know) so thanks to those of you who passed this on via those mediums. i really appreciate that. oh, and i forgot to say on this thread that shenzi is made of awesome for having an archive of over 100 save games - all clearly labeled - that i was able to use. i think i would have gone insane without her help.

@ tup: >< sorries.

please see my previous post. i'm sure glitches abound given how many saves i was popping in and out of. again, apologies. i did try to avoid any major things like paragons shoving mercs out of windows or anything like that.

actually, a tricky one was finding a shep who saved the collector base. out of 38 femsheps, only 3 saved the base. seriously. that kind of surprised me.

Yeah, it must have been real pain in the backside. It's just armour, though. Awesome work anyway and like I said, no biggie. I really liked what I saw anyway!

Really? But it's so much fun to tell TIM to do one. Plus you get the patented FemShep smirk of satisfaction after. I mean who doesn't enjoy seeing that? ^_^

i guess i wasn't surprised that people don't trust TIM, just that out of 38 sheps, some of whom are VERY renegade or practical, most tell him to take a flying leap. just funny to me, is all.

anyhow, Indra was a dear and saved the base, so i was able to use her for that clip. ;)

@ akari - TRUE. the smirk is worth it.

Hackett: Oh, if only we had a Collector baby to throw at the Reaper fleet!
Shep: Dang, you know, I HAD one, but I blew it up.
Hackett: Good lord! WHY?
Shep: Well, I wanted to smirk at tIM, you see.
Hackett: ....

@Sage – Glad the save files were useful, I’ve shocked more than a few people with how quickly a large collection of shots appear of their Shepard once they give me a facecode. But it only works because of the setting you posted on your blog to bring up the armor locker at any point in the game.

I didn’t even think about including a save game where Shepard kept the base, I did that once with my renegade where I then copied the save games out to a separate folder, labeled as such and before reloading the game and blowing the base up just to have that scenario on hand when ME finally comes out.

edit - it's my favorite moment in the game telling TIM off.

@ shenzi - it wasn't the save, actually. i was able to just play through my stuffs for that. it was having someone to stand there with tIm and hand him the base. i originally had noah do it, but then i realized she'd told him to shove it as well. so i had to go through my notes on each (thanks for those by the way, guys) and find a shep who'd blown the base. only 3 had, so i had indra do it.

at least my Jill was one of those, who kept it :P you know its pretty weird just how much people advocate keeping it and yet... so many people blow it up O_O I thought it would be more, especially among renegade players here :/

so its Indra, Moira and Jill then?

yeah, that was all. i think i chose a 'keep the base' person alphabetically. ;)

but yeah, that is a decision that's odd. a lot of people argue for it, but many just don't keep it. it's kind of lame that so many of the squaddies CLEARLY advocate not keeping it once the decision is made. i think if bioware gives you a decision, they shouldn't make too many hints about if it was right or wrong in their opinion. but that's me

oh I agree.  but they don't make those hints before you get bakc to the ship, so not keeping it based on those hints is metagaming

seriously though - I have a save right before the base decision for all Shepards regardless of what I'm importing becasue that smirk?  difficult to pass up... just like the one in Garrusmance :P  makes for a damn good screenshot :)
