Casey Hudson Tweet:

@VarrenSpectre Lots of new animations coming in for #ME3 for combat, movement, and character interactions.

I hope this means FemShep gets her own set of animations too.

Yeah, that's what sucks about tweets. Too little information and  no context

I don't see how you all make such nice looking femsheps.

Mine never turn out well, or they don't look much different from default.

I guess I'll figure it out eventually. If I ever get a femshep to look decent, she'll be a blazing redhead, pale complexion. Redheads are special you know. If mankind's champion in its darkest hour ever turns out to be a woman, she'll be a redhead.

Simone, is it?  She wouldn't be modeled after Simone Simons would she?

They share some resemblance and a name, after all.

This. I think it takes me probably at LEAST 20 fails to make a decent-looking custom anything in any game.  Am currently trying to create a perfect femCousland for da:o. They all end up looking eerily like my younger sister. She's a cute girl, so this isn't a BAD thing, exactly, but I'm not sure if I want to see a little-sister look-alike battling darkspawn.

I gave up making a decent looking character in TES IV: Oblivion, and just downloaded one from the modding community's website.

Lots of time messing about in the character creator and having to watch that damn opening sequence more times than is probably healthy. :pinched:

If you know you're going to use certain features, like the hairstyle, for example, set them up first and then build the face around them. That's what I do anyway. Not that I'm claiming to be particularly good at designing characters.

The problem is that most of the femsheps end up looking like relatives to each other, due to the fact that they all have  a similar bone structure. I FINALLY managed to make a femshep that is so good looking and well designed, that I am quite shocked.

Male Shepard is different though. I've made half a dozen really excellent  mShepards so far.

Ultimately it just takes A LOT of time. We're talking about twenty minutes to an hour. Just put in the time, tweak as much as possible, iron out details you don't like, and do it again. Believe me though, it is worth it. I've never been happier with my two ME3 carry-overs.

she is now :P  seriously though - resemblance was completely accidental and she used to look somewhat different before I messed with her looks yet again.

as for creating femsheps - having a reference picture or several helps... as well as reloading a great deal.  one thing I've noticed is that sheps usualy look different once you get into the game, often better in game then in creator, unless you mess with them too much.  complection makes a huge difference as well, as to how the facial features look, so the face that might look bad with freckled complexion - ends up looking fantastic with the more porous #3 one.

 I spent 2-4 hours a night for 8 days designing Kyrie.

I *think* I finally have a Cousland I want to use and I spent 3 days designing her, in 3 hours chunks at a time.

So yeah, a LOT of time, and some of us are crazier about the amount of time than others.
