If she were as well made as LadyHawke I'd run her through a game, but I have too much invested in my own custom femSheps to totally give them up.

Nope. My two Sheps are exactly how I want them to be and they'll look the same from ME1-ME3, which is important to me in a trilogy of games that all have the same main character.

would kick my ass for using someone other than them. They're grumpy enough at my having a third Shepard to stay single in ME1.

Ooh, VERY nice! Definitely a contender!

Though she would probably resemble Bastila quite a bit.  Failing that, yeah, Rhona Mitra.

Ah yeah, I can see how that can be a problem. I forgot that her face has already been used in KoToR. :/ Still, I think Jennifer Hale would make a decent model for a femShep.

It would still be great if they gave us the option to play the femShep they'll be using in the trailer in all installments of the game. I wouldn't mind doing a separate playthrough for that. She'll just be another different character to play - no problem.

Probably not, but I'm just talking for the "iconic" FemShep to get some marketing love.  And unless they have Tali/Ash/Miranda as LI's in ME3, Alice is probably gonna be it for me.

I don't care what the FemShep they use for marketing looks like. I've already played two games with my FemSheps, which are all very different from each other. There will never be an "iconic" FemShep for me. I still want a FemShep trailer, but I just don't care what she looks like. Use the default, whatever, anything is fine by me.

Ok, I noticed an interesting phenomenon during my current playthru with Rani. I had intended her to be pretty much a cold-hearted beotch, full renegade (except Feros, as a colonist, she had to save the colony if she could), basically picking pretty near all the renegade choices. However, I ran into a problem.

His name is Kaidan. I usually talk to my squad after a "story" mission, so I kinda thought their conversations were linked to that. Got alot of "I don't have anything to say" comments except after main story missions. So, anyways, I had run thru Feros, and was running and doing all of the assignments available, and I went and talked to Kaidan again. This was just after taking out Dr. Saleon for Garrus, and I got the "don't take shortcuts" speech from Kaidan. It fit so well, that when I did Bring Down the Sky, it changed things. Rani killed Charn, especially after the "just a slave grab" line, but couldn't bring herself to sacrifice the hostages to kill Balak, even for revenge for Mindoir. Kaidan's influence. I could feel Rani's internal conflict, almost as a seperate entity from myself.

Anyways, long story short, from there I played quite a bit, and tried to stick to the Renegade path, but I wound up feeling more and more like I was playing her wrong, that I was forcing her to be Renegade, especially since Kaidan is always in her squad. And, since I didn't have any save games from earlier, I've decided to reboot her, and replay Rani's story. (Yay for 15 hours of gametime lost...*sigh*) I just need to get her story right, for some reason.

But, anyways, I decided to kinda tweak her appearance (especially since I didn't write down her sliders from the first go around.) So, a coupla pics of the "new" Rani. I'm working on a full profile for her, so I can figure out exactly how her story arc will go, since the whole "Renegade" thing just didn't fit her.

On to the pics!

My seventh FemShep just made her public debut in a recently locked thread.

Meet Olive. An artist with the Revenant. Colonist. War Hero. She is still a little upset, because the Justicar code was stronger than her charm. Hopefully she'll find love in ME3.

I would not because my Shepy is my Shepy. But it's nice they are making more effort when it comes to the female version of the hero. I'd rather the female option be treated equally with the same care as male Shepard, this way I might actually believe BioWare when they say there's no 'canon' Shepard.

I would make a PT for default femshep, just like I ahve a PT for Sheplo (that hasn't been touched in months) but I'd still do it cuz it's there.

On games that provide a way to customize, I never use the default. 'Sides, my custom girls look alot better than what Bioware comes up with.

Question for anyone who wants to answer, related to my above post:

Do any of your Shepards...well, um...dictate their personalities to you? Or do you decide who they're gonna be and go from there? I mean, my current FemShep, Rani, I wanted her to be complete renegade, but that's just not fitting her now. I keep getting Paragon vibes off of some of the decisions she should make, even though I planned her as renegade.

Have you ever had to replay a part of the game to fit your Shep's personality?

I would certainly use a new default femshep if she were Sheplooed (that sounds nasty) for a new game. ME3 will have an interactive comic (or something) so it won't be completely hollow like a new game of ME2.

That comic thing is hopefully better than the one for ME2.

Totally.  First PT I tried to do things in a very Paragon fashion (except for letting the Council die, which was sort of a hastily-made panicked decision on my part), but when I started writing and delving into Alice's backstory more, I realized that there was no way she could realistically be that much of a paragon.  Next PT I made a few more Renegade choices, adding a little edge to her dialogue, and she felt MUCH more like she 'should' be.

Hey! :-)

Interesting questions! I think those of us who post here aren't very likely to give a new Sheplooed Femshep a go at least for our first ME3 playthrough, because we are so attached to our own Femsheps (I know I'll play Evandra first), but a lot of people who are not fans but just play the game would probably take her as their main Shep. I agree with what sagequeen said some pages ago about Femhawke being more recognizable than Jane. They did a good job making her memorable, unique. Maybe Jane has her facial features a little too 'averaged out'? I don't know.

...*reading last page* On the other hand, if they remade her face after Rhona Mithra, then yes, yes I would play default Femshep.:innocent:

@khevan, yes that has happened to me, too. Evandra was meant to be renegade since I heard the line "Great. You pissed the captain off and now I'm gonna pay for it". But the events of ME1 have changed her in a way I didn't expect, so ME2 Shep has changed her mind about some things, and she has also reexamined some of her previous convictions. I don't know why that happens, I didn't plan any of it. I guess the game manipulates me ^..^

This made me think of the suggestion of Katee Sackhoff.

I love my Shep just as she is, but if they had to go with someone to become the Vandergirlaloo, I'd probably go with her.  Seems like a decent enough choice (though I may be partial, because I see just a bit of my Shep in her).  Anything is better than the default Jane.  (Sorry to anyone who may use the default Jane, I didn't mean anything by it, she's just not very...unique?)

And I know these two look very similar, but the one to the right, I've seen around the internet, and can't help but wonder why she wasn't the default look from the beginning...:(

Allow me to introduce you to Meghan Shepard.  I'm her ****.  I write her as she dictates to me.  I do not get a choice in the matter.

Vanguard.  Sole Survivor.  Earthborn.  Decided to leave Kaidan for Garrus.  Kicks mercs out of windows in her spare time:

I don't know where all her anger came from, but for a blonde-haired, green eyed, cheerleader-looking marine, she's got a lot of it.  Her fic is Loved.

Avery Shepard is strong, but she's not quite the force of nature that Meghan is.
Her badassness is far more understated.

I think it’s hard not to let the character take over, unless you are just playing the avatar.  In reading some fanfic, there seem to be several Sheps around these boards that have very distinct and strong personalities.

My renegade, Erica, had the same problem Rani did. She was Earthborn/Ruthless and so I intentionally set her up as Ashley lite (a bit xenophobic), had her romance Kaidan and just let it go from there.  Kaidan softened her up to the point she is no longer a full renegade, but a renegon.  Whenever she is unsure of something, she simply asks herself, "What would Kaidan do?" Though a renegade, she is more loyal to the Alliance than any of my other Sheps, which was surprising.

April Ryan Shepard, a Spacer/War Hero, had the most stable background of all my Sheps.  She began life as a paragon, but after romancing Kaidan and then leaving him on Virmire, she slowly became more of a renegade.  Her renegade meter is just a little over half full.  I figured she would get some renegade points, but not that many.

As for UJ, (my canon Shep), I intentionally made her a paragon and she pretty much stayed that way through both games. UJ certainly has the urge to renegade a lot, but w/ very few exceptions, when she does, it feels wrong.  When I first played her, she kicked Mouse down to the ground and I had to replay that scene.  The only way I can justify her cracking her knuckles in that scene is that she is would be an incredible poker player.  The biggest change in her is that she went from being bi to full lesbian.  That said, she is very much her own person.

My Jane is Paragade. That describes her very much. I never thought to make her Paragon or Renegade, I just act like if it was me.

Speaking about my second FemShep Mikaela... Well, I thought she will be a full Renegade (Colonist/Ruthless - Vanguard) but I can't do that cause I just don't want to spoil her beauty. So she is Renegon in some ways, not Renegade. Well, Diana (Spacer/War Hero - Vanguard) is Mikaela's complete opposite. She is a full Paragon as I wanted. It fits her completely. What about Polina Shepard... I haven't decide yet.

I love default Jane. This cover you probably  have already seen.

Question ...snip...?

Most of my Sheps somehow developed a mind of their own and did things differently than i had originally planned. But i never had to replay larger parts because of this, maybe a do-over for conversations, but in most cases I already knew the game pretty well and what was coming.

One example is Razzah: I ment for her to romance Jacob, but in the back of my head, she somehow screamed: no, I won't cheat on Kaidan. So she flirted briefly with Jacob but did not pursue things further.

Posted Image

Olive, the one I introduced a few posts earlier, was ment to be as much Paragon as possible, but she wouldn't stop Miranda from shooting Niket. She would stray from the Paragon path a few more times.
Actually in the beginning I imagined Miranda and Olive to be some kind of rivals but they ended up very close friends...
I could go on and on, but i stop now...
