Sure, trying to deal with idiots and people who think the galaxy is all sunshine and roses will tend to set Cara off. But she keeps a tight lid on her emotions when the lives of her teammates depend on her.

Whoa, that picture is intimidating. :)

Joker: "Uh, commander? Do you think we could install a mirror here so I know when someone is standing behind me?"

BTW, I also approve of shooting the scientist who was experimenting on people at Akuze. The dialogue options make it seem like Shepard is all, "no, don't shoot him, it's too dangerous, you'll get into trouble... let me do it!"

Posted ImagePosted Image

Of course, the actual expression on her face, not exactly like she's letting her emotions carry her away is it?

Should be fun the more chars I make, to keep adding them in =P
And yeah, the lack of care on Shep's face is worrying gheh.

Sidenote: I've found two shots I really like getting these three screenshots together (yay on doing Eden Prime three times in a row through lack of handy save-games =/ )

Haha, that's fine. That was part of the aim actually, I can get really rowdy by a strong jawline, but it's such a pain it the ass to get right angle-wise between cheek/cheekbone/jaw-width and gaunt settings coupled with the preset and face-structure picked.. yeah, I think that's all of them ><
I'm too perfectionistic for my own good, I can get really put off by a wrong angle.
Stupidly, after seeing some of yours, I actually am more annoyed by the imperfections in my earlier Sheps heh.
I don't doubt i'll run into one of those 'wrong angles' yet again though, but meh.

Great job on Raine, Ottemis! She looks very lovely! I always like seeing femSheps with a strong jawline. ;D

Ugh, cheekbones... I've been struggling with it for a good while now. I wanted my Shep to have prominent cheekbones, and I think she does look really nice in most shots, but there's always one angle that messes it up for me. Observe:

Good shot, good shot, OMGWHY shot

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I want her to look decent on all angles. There's just something about that last shot that looks... unnatural to me. I'm bothered enough that I want to try modifying, but I'm also afraid that I would end up changing her so much that she'd feel like a completely different person. :( I asked for a friend's opinion and she said that it looks alright. It bugs me, though... I can't figure out if it's because of how the cheeks look on that one angle or if it's because of the lighting or if it's the neck thickness that I need to tone down.

/rambling

Long story short, I feel your pain. >__<

Marge is kind of self control freak, but getting Saren was above everything else. After Virmire, which I tend to do after completing all three previous missions, she's practically all "ends justify the means".

In ME2, she's losing it around krogan, because she knows she can.

Posted Image

But it's not really the interrupts, but rather the lines I'm using. There are no unnecessary deaths.

@nranola: I had the same problem, which was overall size of the face. Got rid of it by increasing it over half of the slider. Also cheek gaunt is kind of treacherous.

EDIT: I think I forgot to add this video. Well, mainly because it's crap quality, but it's not about quality here. All frustration goes to the battle, even if properly planned and executed. This just a mash-up of bugs I've found and idiocies I commited during gameplays...

OK, to answer more seriously...

Enid thinks of herself as a very "in control" person, but that control is just a thin facade over a volatility that often causes her to take actions that she later regrets. This volatility has served her well during her career, since it often comes across as decisiveness on the battlefield, but Enid worries that one day the small regrets will become inescapably large.
Posted Image

Rhea, on the other hand, is confident and in nearly complete control of her emotions, often using them to her advantage in negotiations and personal relationships. Her smile disarms, concealing a formidable analytical mind that enables her to take in and evaluate every detail of her surroundings. Still, she has an Achilles Heel: She struggles with feelings of being "apart" -- disconnected from those around her. She sometimes lies awake wondering if the feeling is a natural consequence of her position, or if she subconsciously pushes everyone away for fear of developing close relationships then losing them.

Yes.

While Jenn is the epitome of professionalism and keeping cool, she sadly did let her emotions get the best of her a few times.

On a personal level, she let herself fall for Kaidan which goes against every reg out there in the Alliance: How to be a soldier handbook. But that was the extent of it.

Posted Image

After her resurrection, well...the calm, cool and calculated paragon, who rarely resorts to violence unless it's necessary person, lost it a bit. Although she's not proud of it, her frustration did come out a few times on people who well..in a way did deserve it. Like the merc on the Dantius towers who got pushed through the window. She would have let him leave had she been her usual self, but with the constant pressure of dealing with Cerberus and compartmentalizing all the emotional stress that came with them bringing her back did get the best of her at some times.

Also, since I missed the discussion about Shep's resurrection. I agree with ADlegend. I don't think Shep's a clone or what-have-you. She's the real deal. Yeah, it's not plausible, but so is half of the stuff in the story. So i just go with the cybernetics being in her bone-weave and stuff like that, while the brain/heart...yada yada yada are actually her. And I do think the suite is hard enough to keep the body, simply because Liara found your dogtags, you find your helmet and Legion finds your chest plate and they're all mostly intact except for a few scratches and dents.

Again, that's just me and my canon :)

Canon to right of them,
Canon to left of them,
Canon in front of them,
Hale'd and Meer'd;
Storm'd at by fan and troll,
Boldly they typed and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell,
Strode the ME writers.

Hmm... That worked a bit better in my head. ^_^  Ah well.  To answer the question, I believe that Shep in ME2 is still the original Shep, just augmented (we have the technology; we can rebuild them!).  Artificial tissue, heavy cybernetics, and all of that good stuff, but only as a method of getting Shep back on their feet. But, that's just my thoughts...

Yeah that angle is a nasty one tbh. Slightly from below, you still catch a glimpse of the jawline which makes the chin seem broader then it is, the cheekbone always looks to be lower then it is. Always distorts the features.
Tbh though, the third looks quite good to me considering the angle.
I like your Shep alot, nicely balanced features.

Nice video, Akodo. Marge certainly likes to punch things in the face. Repeatedly! ^_^

@nranola: As Akodo said increasing the face size should get rid of the slightly pointed cheek problem. I had the same issue with Hrist and once I noticed it, it just kept bugging me, so I went back to the CC and sorted it out. I Increased her face size to 15 or 16 and dropped the cheek gaunt to 4 from around 8 and that fixed it.

Hrm. Back a few pages people were talking about missions they felt specific squadmates fit the role for especially well...

I like to take Garrus to Horizon. Most of my Shepards figure it'd be a kind of small scale old squad reunion. Of course, it turns to be anything but, though that's beside the point.

Some of my Shepards bring Mordin to Horizon too. I mean heck, he developed counter measures. Only fair he gets to test them :P. He also goes to the Collector's ship. Figure scientist/doctor would be helpful there.

I tend to bring Garrus and Zaeed to Grunt's recruitment. For some reason they fit the feel of the planet. Zaeed goes to Grunt's loyalty too. And I really like him on Archangel's recruitment. He never gives me any lip about staying behind to protect Garrus.

I kind of like the idea of brining Kasumi to Thane's and Jack's recruitment. Security specialist and all that.

Also like to bring Garrus to get Tali, and Tali on the mission where you pick up Legion and his loyalty mission too.

Thane DOESN'T go to Jack's loyalty. The first time I did it... we landed, stepped out in the rain and I was going "Sh*t, sh*t, rain,  humidity... kerpal's... restart, restart!" :P

Rest of them, I tend to mix/match, but I tend to favor brining Thane with me a lot after I recruit him. Shame it is kind of late in game without hex editing.

--

Hrm. For any of you who are watching the dev twits/posts closely... have there been any word on armor variety? Namely, are there any lighter variants? I hate to sound like a broken record, I think I've spoken enough about my severe dislike of heavy armor, but I've not seen the issue brought up to the devs or by the devs at all. I see at least some of you mod in lighter variants, so surely I am not the only one who can't leave the issue well alone :P.

At the very least, I hope they'll keep the .ini format like in ME2 where it's at least possible to hack in npc outfits. It always makes me moody when npc get better looking armor than the hero, heh. :P

Anyhow. /end wall of text.  Screenies inc!
