Mine was delivered 2-3 days ago, its so soft and the arm icon is awesome. I feel badass wearing it. Got a large cause I like to layer in the winter. Woo! I ordered mine on the 8th though so I dont know if it helped Holly and her crew.

It's pretty interesting, though. I've come across many instances of players RPing their Shepards as having romances with non-romanceable characters, and choose to imagine the development and romance dialogue. Something like that would be quite interesting to incorporate into a fanfic.
For example, suppose I wanted to RP my Kate as having a fling with Kasumi? That's something akin to what I'm talking about.

Actually a TIM/Femshep romance could be very well done. Imagine a renshep siding with cerberus and TIM gaining power and such. FemShep drawn to it likes TIM and well, relationship started. Though I doubt he would be as cool if he werent voiced by Sheen

I think the reason Norman asks people outside of the forum is because she wants to broaden the picture. That is, BioWare is constantly reading our posts on their forum and they more or less know what we want, but Norman wants to hear something more and different so that the final product is guaranteed to satisfy a larger audience -- hence why she goes to Twitter and GiantBomb.
Just a guess. May or may not be the case. But if my memory isn't betraying me she did hint on that being her reason in a recent Twitter post of hers.

It was always a lol moment when I found a assault rifle in a malfunctioning object. What did the gun stop it up and no one but me could get into it?
