What killed DA:O for me was that my lovely warden warrior was a mute. I will admit I played it after ME and ME2 so I was spoiled by Jen Hale and Femshep, but I had serious issues with playing a char that never said anything. One day, perhaps, I might actually go back and finish DA:O but I doubt it.

oooooooooo.. my first TOTP femshep! Would be rude not to continue the trend.

Alice enquiring where someone would like a bullet.... inserted.

I don't mind my DA:O characters being mute but it was kind of weird to realise that I don't think I've never seen them smile. Whenever reactions are shown, they're negative. I was used to seeing both the good and the bad with FemSheps.

Somewhat off topic but here are two new shots of my FemShep, Lark.  She is an adept that I built some long bio around how Cerberus altered her biotic abilities (like Jack..) which resulted in the obvious physical conditions you see here.

Nice!  Love the eyes.  She looks good as well, unlike some of my creations (that CC's got a lot to answer for).  I've done something similar with my current FemShep (see avatar and some of my previous posts).  It does look really cool, particularly for Biotic FemSheps.

Edit:  Damn Tup3xi; your FemShep still looks amazing!

Whenever I keep thinking of the Reaper invasion, I keep thinking of this.

Ok, I can't help it, I NEED to share this.  As I said in a post here social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/7419951 I've been shareing a very G rated version of ME with my 6 year old daughter, who is currently gaga for FemShep. At one point I asked her what she thought about Commander Shepard being a guy. She gave me a "Mom, you are so weird" look, and said that she thought that would be very silly.
Today, as we were playing Mass Effect, here is the story she suddenly invents.  "Look out Mommy, there's a spy. He's pretending to be Commander Shepard! We need to stop him!" And off she went, the "real" Commander Shepard to stop the guy pretending to be her.......

This is a bit late, but that is just too adorable! Your daughter has her head in the right place. Just saying. ;D

In other news, I got my computer back and Mass Effect finally finished downloading hoorah! Jen is back on active duty!

Posted ImagePosted Image

She's been tweaked a bit and she's looking better in that one odd angle... I think. I took cheek gaunt and cheek width down a few clicks (I don't want to change her too much) and made her neck narrower. I can't really say for sure if there's been an improvement with the facial structure until I've loaded up an ME2 save - it's still downloading though, so I'm stuck with ME1 for now.

@nranola Looking good! Her eyes pop nicely with the contrast from the red eye-shadow.
Good to hear you got your pc back =)

On a somewhat related note, I've confiscated my bf's pc and am happily screenshotting through Raine's play-through atm, graphic details up to max, will post some screens later if you guys like.
I do have this weird issue where in-game my gamma looks good and scenes aren't too dark but using fraps for screens and movies they all end up a tad darker ><
Maybe it's an issue with his fraps, don't know =/ I'll have to experiment I suppose.

I have the same problem in ME1. I see it pretty decent in my screen but all .bmps I take with Fraps turn dark

I process all my screenies with PS to correct that.

Lili: So, Miri, your saying I'm not aloud to just lock myself in my cabin with Garrus for like....a week?
Miranda: Shepard, we went over this, not only would that mean that missions don't get done but it also means officer Vakarian wouldn't get the weapons calibrated, so if we we're under attack, the thanix cannon would be useless.
Lili: True, but we could get a self-calibrator, and plus, I'd put like you or Ashley in charge while I'm, uh, busy.
Miranda: Must we talk about this now, commander?
Lili: Well, yes. Because your not amusing me right now, Miri. I want to have time before the Reapers come to myself, well, time with Garrus, but, you get my point.
Miranda: *sigh*
Lili: Fine, blow me off. Let's finish up here, I'll talk to you on the Normandy. Plus, we can see how Ash feels about being left in charge.

-also, on parents, Lili doesn't have to worry about that, worst she worries about is her life, her friends, and then of course Ra Li.- Have a few more pics, too....

Yeah though that leaves the video issue, I'll have to see whether I can sort that through Premiere or so. Good to hear I'm not the only one heh.

Jennifer is worried sick about her mom and dad. She haven't contacted them since Lazarus and doesn't know how they'd react to her trial, or her work with Cerberus no matter how short lived it was.

I don't have that problem. They look exactly the same. You might want to check colour management (via windows control panel for example) to see if there are weird colour profile applied. For videos wrong colour space conversion can cause loss in dark and bright colours.

I've personally used Spyder3Pro to check gamma, I didn't actually hade to do much to get it right since dark colour production is good all the way (bright colours too).

I do wonder if my pics look too dark since many other pics I've seen here look washed out some times (i.e. black is grey instead of black when it clearly should be black).

And as usual, this probably one of the best sites to check out if white and black levels are correct: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/

Here's how I see this (there isn't any bright light sources anywhere):

Example of washed out picture (ruined by me, rather mildly though):

And here's the original (which looks much better at least on my monitor and on my Samsung GT-I9000):

I had something weird happening with fraps when I was doing the Shep/Ashley romance. When I take pics, they are exactly the same as I see them in the game, no problem. However, the video recorded was a lot darker than the game, don't know why. It didn't matter much anyhow because I used VirtualDub to encode the raw avi recordings into xvid so I could upload them to youtube, and for some reason, the resulting xvids had the exact same lighting as the game! o_O

Yeah seems to be an issue with his pc settings somewhere, I just copied the files over to mine and both the screens and the videos look less dark now.. not gonna touch his stuff though, he's the bigger nerd so he might spank me for it =P
The fps diff when frapsing on both systems is sickeningly depressing (for me) heh.
He's got everything maxed on a 1920-1080 resolution running 60 fps ingame (on cap) and 30 when frapsing fullscreen (which is max as i'm frapsing on 30 fps, can prolly crank it up).
Mine? Medium graph settings same resolution does 15ish fps ingame and 5 while frapsing =/

Here's some new screens made on his system:
