I guess the first Shepard is always special
Mine was too, but her face was rather generic because I just couldn't get the hang of the face editor xD
That's why I was so interested in Raine
Yeh Jane's face in ME1 was rather generic looking aswell, I didn't rlly have the hang of working with the chargen yet at all.silverhammer08 wrote...

For some reason it was easier for me with the ME2 CC. Laire, my second, which I really do like, wouldn't really be considered a beauty. She's, I don't know.. she shines at certain moments, at others people would argue against her eyes, the thickness of her lips, her small chin. You know, all kinda of stuff.
They grow on you regardless though. Raine though, I literally spent days behind the CC making (i think?) 20+ chars that I played the first mins with to see them at various angles before I was actually happy.
Not the kind of effort you'd ever easily stick in character-creation when it's your first run-through anyways =)
Gotta say though, I make it too freaking hard on myself, I've got the worst case of perfectionalism.
Making others happy makes me happy (cheesy but true). Having spent so much time on it, it's worth all the more if it's something others find viable to use =) Plus you know what it is, would you have stuck in the hours (or by pure chance), you could have made the exact same char. We work off the same tools, I already spent the time, then you might aswell not hehe, would be a waste.silverhammer08 wrote...

I dabble in 3D and stuff like that (nothing professional, just Poser/DAZ Studio) and I take days to get a char that I like and want to see in a rendered pic.
Reading how much time you spent on Raine, it surprises me even more that you were willing to share her.
Most people wouldn't do that, because of the time and effort involved, and I would have understood if you would not have been willing to

Heh, this is going to sound cheesy as well, but it seems like we got another thing in common beside the perfectionalismOttemis wrote...

I cheat on my bf's pc because it has the power, just run fraps record for cutscenes and convo's, then tab out, either save the movie for later use or screenshot paused scenes out of VLC. Least it's less of a chance thing then and I can take my time to select the exact shot I want to save etc. But well that's completely impossible to do on mine and now I'm spoiled =P *stares at bf watching a movie on his pc*silverhammer08 wrote...

Alright then, i'll start a new run with Talia, this time with Fraps in the background to capture some screenshots (maybe i'll even try that highres screenshot feature).

Heavy fps drop with fraps? It's nasty when you run it on full screen quality isn't it ><silverhammer08 wrote...
well, my PC can't handle fraps that well, but it does handle rather well with playclaw. Still have to save up a few euros to buy it as the demo leaves an ungly bouncing watermark in the video

No, it's not the framerate drops that irk me, it is the synchronicity that is lacking... the sound is lagging behind when recording with fraps... the characters are already speaking, yet the sound comes almost a second later.Ottemis wrote...

Happens every time, no matter how short the sequence is, the sound always has synch problems.
No remedy has been found so far, but Playclaw handles it nicely, you can check that out on my youtube Account: http://www.youtube.com/user/jadephyre

Yeah, it really is... as far as i've heard is that fraps only uses one core (if you have a CPU with multiple cores) and playclaw can use as many cores as you assign to it (two in my case) which makes the conversion a lot smoother.Ottemis wrote...

But that's crap with the desync >< Think I've only had that once.

I do the same thing! My PC has teh pouwah to capture 1080p at 30 fps in lossless without any issues. Then I use VirtualDub to copy the frames I want to keep. I'm not keeping the clips since ~2 minutes is about 6,5 GB.

I can't really say that the lack of HDD space is a problem... I just don't tend to keep things hanging around.Ottemis wrote...

Still planning on making a fanvid, but heh, won't be done before tomorrow that's for sure.
I like working with the raw files in Premiere though, asmuch as I viably can anyways =)

well, I play a female character and romance a female Squaddie simply because I can, and because I found it interesting to explore such an option (that I like Liara as a character is also a factor) and because i'm no cheat in real life, I won't cheat on Liara in game either
And yes, I am a (straight) guy
