Wait it took them that long to catch on?? B) ;)

Its a great vid.  Shame that facebook makes you watch it on a tiny screen.  People are missing out on the awesome high detail!!!!

Edit:  Top!!   Have a rare pic of my Laura Shepard.

Word of warning: I actually realized that I have a bug that will most likely screw up maleShep face codes. I'll fix that tomorrow.

Ah it's only fair, leave it in! *cough
Ghehe

It's 1:34 here right now. In the morning. And the bug will most likely screw up femShep codes too. I'll rewrite the formating completely. It's actually easier and much better for user POW.

Don't mind me heh, t'was a joke, -manshep +femshep after all!
Didn't mean anything by it =)

Psh, Sage's FemShep-O-Rama video is full of awesome goodness.  I love it with every part of my body.

Shepard's Story

This is probably the longest and most complicated thing I've made.  I tried to keep it exciting, powerful and intriguing. It's the story of Trista Shepard, my Colonist/Sole Survivor Soldier.

Hope you guys enjoy!

OH and the talented ELE08 made the lovely photo manips I used in the Death section.

Congrats, Aislinn Trista! You got a mention on the ME2 Facebook page! :wizard:

Saw this! congrats Aislinn! that makes vid #2 that they've picked up of yours.

seriously, BW should hire you for their promo vids.

As I said on the femshep chat, congratulations, Aislinn. Well deserved. :)

And Sage, you need to make another femshep vid to even the scores. Aislinn's winning 2 - 1. ;)

pfft. aislinn is welcome to make as many videos as i can enjoy as she likes. i hope they ALL end up on ME's facebook page. she's a one-woman-femshep promotion agent!

actually, my next vid project is not going to be ME related. i got the hubby to help me with a review/gameplay tutorial of the co-op Hunted, which we've been playing our way through. it's certainly not ME, but it's a fun co-op. i just keep wishing the girl char i'm playing as had some real armor and a smaller chest. truly, it's like any time a game company creates a witty, strong, capable female character, it's like they feel the need to hide her behind a triple-D rack. /facepalms

I've long ago run out of words to describe your excellent, beautiful and poignant videos, Aislinn! I might be biased but this is my favourite one yet.

The new video has build up wave after wave of emotion, I was eye wide opened when seeing the funeral of Trista.
A marvelous video! :)

Great vid, Aislinn!

btw, do we need a new femshep board in the ME3 section, request this one be moved or just stay here for a while longer?

Great work Aislinn! And congrats on getting highlighted by BW.

Are there any other entries to the video contest? I've only seen "Shepard's Story" so far.

What does the consensus want?  I know this OP needs updating but I've been busy lately.

I would say to stick around here for a little longer, there simply isn't enough related content or info for FemShep in ME3. I think post trailer or just prior to it would be the best time to start the shift, as this one will start to gear down as ME3 comes closer to release date.

I think that the video was good, but I have few problems with it. One of them is that I felt that it was too long. Second, I found that stopping the video just to go into another theme was a little jarring. I would have preferred if you made the trailer by mixing all of the themes at once. Third, I found the funeral scene a little cheesy. I understand that you had little to work with, but I still admittably chuckled at that part.

In the end, it's still a solid video. However, I much preferred your Warrior Angel video, which I thought was beautiful.

Personally, since I wish to continue discussing and sharing femShep stuff here, but also wish to avoid as many ME3 spoilers as possible, I'd rather this thread stay right where it is. I don't mind a trickle of ME3 facts as they pertain to femShep trickling in here, along with official announcements and media, but really, what specifically femShep and ME3 discussion will there be before the game is released anyway to either move this thread there or make another one there?

Of course, I have no objection to a new thread appearing in the ME3 section, though I hope that doesn't mean that many of the wonderful posters in this thread would go over there and never visit here any more. Similarly, I would also hope it wouldn't preclude *any* ME3 related femShep discussion here.

But, I'm happy with this thread here, at least until ME3 comes out. That way, those of us who wish to avoid major spoilers but still do most of our femShep discussion here on BSN (no offense to femshep.com, it's wonderful; I'm just more used to hanging out here) can continue to do so in this thread.

TL;DR - make an ME3 specific femShep thread over there if necessary, but I hope this thread remains here and healthy. ^_^

(semi-aside: it's a shame these forums don't have
Spoiler
tags so that spoilers could be easily hidden, yet still discussed by those who want to)

@Pseudo

I usually keep videos under 5 minutes, but it's very difficult trying to tell a story through 2 games and a bunch of DLC and keep it short. I did the sections because I had specific themes I wanted to address. I don't really understand why you found it 'jarring', as they are clearly defined. And mixing slow music directly into really fast music would not have improved things. Do you mean the music should have faded in more slowly? Anyway, I'm not very good at audio mixing, but I do my best.

As for the funeral scene, I wanted to make use of a new greenscreening technique I was presented with. If you didn't like it, that's fine. You're the first person to complain about it, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's hard making composite scenes look good, really.  I tried my best with it.

EDIT:

I may go back and do some stuff to it later, of course.

The one and only problem I have with the video is that the natural progression would seem to be Rise, Love, Death, Revelation, instead of starting out with Death.  But the greenscreening was amazing, I thought.  Fantastic video!  Of course when we're talking about Aislinn's videos, that's a given.   The voting at FemShep.com will be a tough choice.

I vote to stay a little longer. There's no real femShep content out for ME3 yet, plus that forum is taking the brunt of the trolling right now.
